Well…you know, there are times that I do believe in karma and that people get what they deserve when they are so damn terrible people…and yesterday was one of those days when Tesla’s stock dropped almost 140 billion dollars in reaction to ole elon borrowing against it to buy twitter…and the sick thing is that it means nothing to elon…he still has 300 billion dollars and there is just something wrong with that…and the shenanigans have already started at twitter with conservative assholes gaining thousands and thousands of followers while the progressive voices have been losing them hand over fist…even Mark Hamill has lost over 8,000 followers since the sale of twitter was announced…and ole elon’s freedom of speech bullshit has been revealed to be just that…all he wants is to be free of twitter’s moderators and be able to attack whoever he wants…starting with some twitter execs who were then piled on by all of the deplorables who elon is allowing back on twitter…okay, he doesn’t own it yet so I’m not sure how much he had to do with it but he was setting the example that attacks are just peachy with him if they are to support him…hmmm…who does that sound like? trump? Yep….and he is just trying to intimidate people who work for twitter to show them that when he is in charge, they will have hell to pay if they cross him…and that is exactly what elon does…when he disagrees with someone or they disagree with him, he wants twitter to be able to launch an even bigger attack that the people he is attacking can’t respond to…and that is not “free speech”, it is just another rich guy trying to shut everyone else out of any conversation…after all, the only people these rich assholes think should have the right to speak to them are other rich guys…geez…

Rand Paul is a Russian stooge…
Well…just a short one on how stupid and how bad of a Russian Stooge he is…in a hearing in the senate today, Paul tried to justify Russia’s invasion of Georgia and the Ukraine by saying that they once were part of the soviet union so Russia has every right to invade and try to take them over…word by word talking points that Putin and his cronies have used to justify the invasion…so, under that logic, Russia has every right to attack and try to take back Alaska since it was once part of Russia…and England has every right to attack and try to take over the US or any one of their previous colonies like India or even China…or any country that once ruled another has the right to attack that country again…how about Germany and France? Or Italy and southern France? You see how ridiculous this moron is….and the big question is why the hell would a sitting senator try to justify the attack and genocide that Russia is doing in Ukraine? Rand Paul needs to go…he doesn’t have the brains or honor to be a senator…and he needs to go…geez…
The financials don’t work…
Well…I promise you this will be the last one about twitter and ole Elon today but it deals with just another one of the confusing details about why he is buying twitter in the first place….and this one will be short so no TLDR….when you look at the details of the deal, it looks like Elon will be borrowing around 25 billion dollars to make the deal and at 4-5% interest on the loan, that is about 1.5 billion dollars in interest alone…and the funny thing is that even in it’s best year, twitter has never made that much money…maybe a billion dollars or so and that means that Elon is going to have to squeeze a half a billion dollars of cost out of the organization to make it work…and isn’t that always the way? Venture capital or billionaires swoop in and the first thing they do is fire everyone who is making any money so they can pump the stock and then dump it…with twitter going private, that won’t be the case here with the stock but there still needs to be a half billion dollars in costs taken out since analysts agree that there is not enough potential revenue growth to support the half billion in extra profit. So why? Could it be as simple as a thin skinned billionaire getting pissed that people on twitter don’t kiss his ass as much as he thinks they should? That would be a laugh and right now it is as good an explanation as any other…geez…
Let’s remember this about Elon….
Well…before anyone else feeds the world the bullshit that Elon Musk is a “self made” man, let’s remember this about him…he was born rich in South Africa where his father owned an emerald mine and made his money on the backs of black laborers in the apartheid era when they were treated as little better than slaves and who lived in shanty towns with no running water or any other services like electricity while Elon and his family lived in a palatial estate and that he inherited along with the mine…so it’s bullshit that he “built” everything that he has…like most other billionaires, he started out with a few hundred million from daddy or grandpa and then used the power of that money to get where he is…and when you see the union busting tactics at his tesla plants and the widespread racism that permeates them, and the fact that he was a regular visitor at the idiot boy’s WH tells you all you need to know about him….he is not someone to hold up as any sort of a role model, after all, he can come up with 44 billion to buy twitter but whines, whines, and whines about having to pay any taxes at all…just another billionaire moocher whose companies wouldn’t exist without the largess of the US people and government….geez….
Quitting twitter after today….
Well…I really hate frickin billionaires….with the pandemic windfall the all of these parasites made over the past two years, they now have trillions of dollars to take over the country and it’s communications…and today, Elon Musk is going to buy twitter with some of that free money and I, for one, am not going to help him make even more money so I will be leaving twitter after today. Look, the country just does not need another trump humper in charge of another huge part of the news/communication infrastructure like they have taken over most radio and television stations in this country…and the only reason he’s doing it is to help the far right spread their hate and propaganda since twitter now has rules in place to stop the spread of disinformation and lies but when he is owner, those rules go away and it turns into just another parler or gab where lies will be the currency of the day and support for the killing of our democracy is one of it’s prime purposes. This is the reason we need a billionaires tax that keeps this much power from the hands of a few right wing assholes who don’t give a damn about anything but themselves…bye,bye twitter…
Corporations are no longer people, my friends, in Florida…
Well…the fascism is starting to be all too clear in Florida after the governor pushed his toadies in the legislature to pass a law that revoked Disney’s special status that allowed them to run their parks as independent governmental units there…and they wrote it so narrowly that it can only apply to Disney as retaliation for their opposition of the Florida “don’t say gay” law that was pushed by DeSantis as a blatant attack on the LGBTQ community. So, I guess that corporations are no longer people, to quote Mitt Romney, in Florida and no longer have free speech rights without fear of retaliation by the government…and that is the description of fascism that the repubs all across this country are embracing not only for corporations but for individuals, too…starting with teachers, librarians and parents…or anyone who opposes fascism and the repubs attacks on our democracy. the one thing I can’t understand is why Disney hasn’t filed a multi billion dollar lawsuit against DeSantis and Florida for this blatantly unconstitutional attack on their rights? The only way to stop this crap is to punch the bastards in the face when they try this crap…and the fact that this attack on Disney that is going to cost Florida taxpayers billions won’t make a damn bit of difference is the problem that we are going to face in the next election….the red states just don’t care if what their leaders do hurt them…I think they like to be hurt since it reinforces their adherence to the cult and their hatred of anyone who is not white and straight and repub….geez…
Here’s a new rule…
Well…it seems to me that we need a new rule when talking to or interviewing repubs by the news organizations since it is clear that all they do is lie, and lie, and lie….so, from now on, once they are caught in one, the new rule should be that no one ever interviews or listens to them again…not to keep “access”, not for a sound bite, not for anything….because if we keep rewarding people for lying, that is what you get…it’s one of the things I leaned getting my degree in psychology…that whatever behavior you reward is what you will get more of…it’s the same thing with kids, if you reward them by giving them what they want when they throw a tantrum, they have learned that tantrums work and they will use them more and more….and when the repubs learn that there are no consequences for lying constantly, they will lie even more. Even when caught in one like Kevin McCarthy was last night on Rachel’s show where he lied his ass off about what he told idiot boy after the attack on the capitol on January 6th….and in a more ethical time, ole Kevvy would have resigned this morning…but in the modern repub party, it is a badge of honor and necessary to lie your ass off to get the support of the troglodytes that make up the repub base….but I still think you can stop this crap by withholding what all of these liars crave and that is attention….geez….
What are they for?
Well…in all my lifetime, I’ve never seen a political party that not FOR anything…you know, like helping the people of this country and making their lives better…but nope, not a damn thing from the repubs…they only talk bout what they are against…children, LGBTQ people being able to live like the rest of us, voters (that are not white), books, women’s rights, Ukraine, this country, democracy, rich people paying taxes, free speech, gun control, trying to stay alive with covid everywhere, the rule of law, saving the planet, courts (unless they are right wing), and damn near everything else that would make life a little better for Americans…and the sick thing is that even with no platform and admitting that they only favor the rich and everyone else can go to hell, they are still predicted to take over the house this fall…how the hell can that be? Has the American electorate become so stupid that they can’t see what the repubs are up to? Or do they not care…”oh, Joe Biden didn’t personally come to my house with a million dollar check so I’m not going to vote for him” seems to be the mood in the electorate right now even though the repubs have said that they are going to increase middle class taxes and eliminate SS and Medicare in 5 years…isn’t that of any interest to the reliable older voters that vote repub? Look, I’m damn tired about being depressed about the stupid people in this country who are going to vote to make me go back to work when I’m 70 when they elect repubs…don’t need that bullshit right now…geez…
Repubs idea of “freedom”…
Well…you know, with all of the bullshit shouts of “freedom” by the repubs, you would think that they would actually want freedom…but you would be wrong. In Texas, because the governor was trying to score points against Biden, he cost the country almost a billion dollars in lost production and spoiled fruits, veggies, and meat to try to show that there are “hordes” of people coming across the border illegally….which he never even looked for…he was just checking tires and lights and never even opened a truck to see if there was anyone there….and he gave the entire US the “freedom” to have food shortages and pay more for everything…shouldn’t there be a law against this crap? Then we have the tie for worst governor in the US with Desantis of Florida now picking a fight with Disney since they came out in opposition to his hateful “don’t say gay” law and the hypocrite basically said that individuals and companies have “freedom” just as long as they agree with him…if not, he will use the entire government of Florida to punish any dissent….how’s that for “freedom”? This week, this moron is pushing to revoke Disney’s special status that allows it to self govern like a city as long as it pays for all of the infrastructure to support their parks….so, when the idiot Desantis revokes this status, every family in the Orlando area is going to be on the hook for at least 2200 bucks in increased taxes to pay for what Disney does now….how’s that for repub “freedom”? Freedom to pay more in taxes to let your governor carry out a vendetta against the largest employer in Florida…what a frickin moron…geez…
Texas runs our foreign policy?
Well…when you go to the grocery store and avocados are 5 bucks each and you can’t find any veggies, thank the idiot governor of Texas who has taken it upon himself to run both foreign and trade policy in direct violation of the constitution. This bullshit started earlier in the week when he told his state police to do “truck inspections” for every truck coming across the border from Mexico which has resulted in miles long backups at the border and lots of rotting fruit and vegetables as the trucks wait for days just for a stunt as Abbott tries to make inflation worse to hurt Biden and the dems in this fall’s election. And now, he has taken foreign policy into his own hands which the constitution says is the purview of the federal government only by making “agreements” with the heads of Mexican states to allow their trucks to freely pass as he extorts them probably into giving him cash for his re-elections which is also against the law. My question is what is the biden admin going to do about it? They need to hold this asshole accountable by fining suit today to force him to stop this illegal bullshit and the companies who are losing their drops to spoilage need to sue him for damages today to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars and do it personally so the taxpayers of Texas don’t have to foot the bill for his criminality…typical repub bullshit….geez…
