Well…you would think that the “law and order” repubs, at least one of them would have voted to hear the evidence against the criminal trump…but, even the naive of us who still believe in the inherent goodness of people have been surprised by the overt corruption of the Mcconnell senate and the fact that not one of them other than the ones who have been given permission by moscow mitch have voted to uphold the law and remove the most corrupt president in the history of this country. But, we knew this didn’t we? We have known for some time now that the repubs are all corrupt criminals and we have been wringing our hands about how they are shredding the constitution and feeling pretty bad about the destruction of our democracy…but, what good will that do? What we need to do it get pissed off about it…since the only thing the criminal repubs have left us after their craven display is the election this fall…and the only way we can fix what they have destroyed is to get pissed, get to work, and make sure that we all vote every damn one of them out of office…and that means you Bernie bros, and Biden supporters, and Warrenites…once the candidate is selected, we all need to put aside our differences and pull with all our might for our candidate…and that means money, too…I’m even going to donate money that I can’t afford to help…and we need to support Gary Peters for his re-election to the senate here in Michigan…and we need to make sure every damn repub senator has his or her vote tied around their necks and will pay for their role in allowing trump to continue to break the law….and we need to welcome anyone that wants to be part of saving this country…liberal, conservative, independent, young, old, suburban, country, urban…every damn person that is part of the 80% who want this whitewash in the senate stopped and the rule of law restored….now is the time to get pissed and get going…as the founders said, protecting democracy is hard work and it’s our responsibility as a people to do…let’s go…

I’m a Bernie fan, too…
Well…as I said yesterday, I think I’ll do a series on the good candidates, not the idiot trump…okay, after 3 years I still can’t understand why any one would vote for idiot boy…but, Bernie I could…since I first became aware of Bernie quite a few years back, his outspoken unabashed liberalism where he understands that government needs to be the referee between people and business is just what I have always said…even though I used to be quite conservative when I was younger and did believe that the less government “interference” the better… in my personal life experience where I have been discriminated against just because I was old, and couldn’t find a real job from the time I was axed from Steelcase in my late 40’s until I gave up and retired…it made me realize even more that people need to have the power equation balanced by government to give everyone a fair shake….and that is one of the central ideas of Bernie’s campaign, that the playing field needs to be leveled and the rich and corporations need to be forced to play fair since they won’t do it without the government getting involved. I can get behind that since I’m tired of the rich getting everything they want and leeching everything out of our society and leaving nothing but crumbs for the rest of us…again, I will get behind any of our candidates because any of them are light years ahead of idiot boy….and we won’t see them getting installed by a foreign power and destroying our country bit by bit every day….

Well…I know you’ve probably had enough of the idiot trump and his band of criminals as I have so today I’m not going to talk about them…let’s talk about the Iowa caucuses and the shakeup that could come from them next week. At this point, I’m not really sure who my favorite is…I think I’ve accepted the fact that we need to support whoever the nominee is and make sure he beats the hell out of trump…I’ve liked Joe Biden for quite a while but he seems to be a little naive and out of touch with the new political reality that the repubs can’t be reasoned with, they won’t be part of any compromise that moves the entire country forward or treats Americans as more than pawns to be used to maintain their power…and they don’t give a damn about anyone who doesn’t vote for them. I think Biden’s beliefs are an old fashioned delusion where he is substituting how he thinks things are or should be with the political reality on the ground…and I fear that the progressive activists who are powering the party will sit this one out if he is the nominee. But, that is the one thing that can’t happen this year…we all need to get behind whoever the nominee is since anyone with a functioning brain and just a little empathy will be better than 4 more years of trump/mcconnell….hmmm…I think I’ll make this a series where I’ll talk about each of the leading candidates in a separate one….I know I’m already over for the month but to talk about having some hope and the genuinely great candidates we have is starting to restore my brain from the rot of trump….and I need a lot of that right now…
Mitch the great strategist?
Well…I know there has been this mythology that has arisen around moscow mitch that he is this “great strategist” when it comes to him running the senate but why? When you control the entire thing and have 53 trump synchophents to support anything you tell them to do, what great strategy is needed…especially when all you have to do is say no? When has he taken a losing situation and turned it into a win? Or when has he been in the minority and gotten what he wanted? This is just a tired shorthand lie that the media is telling about him…what makes him so great? Blocking Merrick Garland? When all he had to do is say a petulant “no” and the vote on him didn’t happen? Or even today, when he is blocking calling witnesses or getting documents from the idiot trump…why is that such “great strategy”? In the short term it may keep trump from getting convicted but it is going to lose them the WH and the senate in the fall…is that part of his “great strategy”? It may even lead to him losing his own seat in the senate since over 70% of the people in this country want to see the witnesses and hear from them first hand…and the dems are crushing the repubs in fundraising partially due to ole mitch’s shenanigans trying to protect trump…another great strategy? All I have to say is keep it up moscow mitch…you and idiot boy just might do what the dems haven’t been able to…destroy the repub party and save this country….
Bolton, Bolton, Bolton….
Well….how the hell could all of the repub senators be “blindsided” by reports that John Bolton says in his soon to be published book that, In August of last year, trump told him that he was withholding aid to Ukraine until he got investigations into the dems and the Bidens? The damn book was submitted to the WH for review on the 30th of December and you can be sure that the day it showed up, Moscow Mitch knew what was in it and in his “coordination” with the WH included telling other repub senators that Bolton had blown up the lie that trump and ole Mitch were pushing….and that made it even more important for moscow mitch to block any witnesses from being called since Bolton says in the book the Barr, Pompeo, and Mulvaney knew what was going on and went along with it…and idiot boy’s lawyers knew about it and went on the senate floor and lied to the senate and to the American people….and this morning, the coverup continues with the help of 53 repub co-conspirators who are still behind the criminal trump and protecting him. Now, I think this is where the dems have an opening since more than 50% of the people want trump convicted and removed from office…I know that won’t happen but the idea of a “truth commission” that will happen if the dems take the presidency and the WH in the fall could be a huge selling point if it is couched in the idea that no one is above the law including presidents and senators….no more of this bullshit “healing the country” that happened after Obama was elected…the repubs are a cancer that needs to be cut out before it kills America….
The lies and propaganda start…
Well…after the stirring and devastating presentation by the House managers in the idiot trump’s senate trial that showed in clear and ugly detail how idiot boy and his minions blackmailed Ukraine and then covered it up through preventing the House investigators from getting the witnesses who were in the room when these crimes were committed…and if you didn’t watch any of it, you DO need to go out and find Adam Schiff’s closing argument where he made it clear that the stakes in this trial are nothing less than the survival of our country….and that the repubs are all co-conspirators to this coverup since they will not look at the evidence and are going to acquit trump no matter what the truth is. And today, trump’s minions started their lie filled propaganda presentation in the senate, going back to the debunked conspiracy theories and completely ignoring the obstruction of congress charges that there is no defense from…instead pushing the lie that the president can do whatever he wants with foreign aid even though the GAO has said that trump and his cronies broke the law by withholding the Ukraine aid. So, should you watch this travesty? Either this or fox news, it’s all the same….
Of course he plagarizes “Star Trek”
Well…cripes, with the reveal of the new logo for trump’s idiotic “Space Force”, it sure seems like they have blatantly stolen the crest of “Starfleet” from the Star Trek tv shows and movies…and that makes sense given that Griftanka spent her whole career stealing designs of shoes and clothes to make cheap knock offs in China…I wonder if CBS, who owns the rights to Star Trek, is going to sue trump and his cronies for stealing their design just like trump constantly steals songs to play at his hate rallies? Didn’t anyone who was involved with this “design” ever watch Star Trek and notice the resemblance? I just can’t wait for these damn grifters to be gone….
More abuse of power…
Well…god, do you ever get tired of the criminal in chief continuing to abuse his power as the fake president? Or of the repubs not doing a damn thing about it? This is going to be a short one about an article that I just read where trump and his team have threatened repub senators, quote: “vote against the president, and your head will end up on a pike”…clearly a case of abuse of power and the wimpy repubs just sit there and take it…don’t they have any self respect left? Yeah, we all know the answer to that one…no…no they don’t…but if I were a senator from a co-equal branch of government and the thug in chief said that to me, it would be the last straw and I would definitely vote for the idiot’s removal…and then make sure idiot boy would pay in court for all his lawbreaking…but these guys? Nope, not a damn one of them has even commented on the threats let alone done anything about it…and this is just another reason for us to remove as many of them as we can in the fall…..damn Adam Schiff, re-open the impeachment and write up more articles…if this is not worth it, what is?
They haven’t heard anything “new”
Well…is it just me or has irony been murdered by the repubs during the idiot trump’s trial? Their latest talking point after the first two days of the trial is that they “haven’t heard anything new” so they need to acquit trump…yeah, I know, low hanging fruit for me…do the repub morons think the voters won’t know that the reason they haven’t “heard anything new” is the fact that they have blocked any avenue for presenting anything “new” by not allowing any documents or witnesses that would be “new” and even with the blocking, the dems have still presented a case that would have trump convicted in any other court in the land. Now, I’m tired of even thinking about how many traitors to this country are sitting repub senators so I am going to end here and make some lunch…still no damn birds….
John Roberts blackens his legacy….
Well…if it wasn’t clear before that Chief Justice John Roberts was just another repub partisan hack, you just have to look at his behavior as the presiding judge in the idiot trump’s impeachment trial. It is clear that the pundits who thought and opined that Roberts would be impartial and run a squeaky clean trial were just so damn wrong they should have their pundit cards revoked…what the hell is he even there for? To start, he has allowed the repub defenders of trump to lie and lie and lie all through their presentations with not one peep from Roberts…would a judge in any other court allow the defense lawyers to lie to get their client off? The amount of lies that Sekulow has told would get him disbarred if he tried that crap in a real court but Roberts just sits there like he’s waiting for the next show of a double feature and does nothing about it…and he has had two days now to hear the lies and he or his clerks should have some sort of response prepared by now…at least a damn slap on the wrist for the easily debunked lies, but no…nothing, hmmm…it kinda even seems he’s in on the coverup by letting the lies stand. Then, the one time Roberts says something it’s to bothsider the dems with an admonishment for decorum….so, the repubs can lie and personally attack every damn one of the dems but when Jerry Nadler stands up and states the fact that there is a coverup going on, Roberts freaks out like he is afraid of anyone saying it out loud even though it is the truth. Roberts is supposedly sensitive to what his legacy will be from his time on the court…but it is clear that he has blacked it with his behavior…no, that’s not strong enough…he has burned it to the ground, and then poured the blackest oil all over it, then emptied a dump truck full of coal on top of that…his only legacy will be of the partisan hack that he is and he should slink away after the trial and just shut the hell up about his bullshit about the integrity of the supreme court…he has destroyed that….
