Well…as you can see, I’m not counting the days of the recommended social distancing anymore because it appears that it is going to last a couple of months and I don’t want to get depressed when I see how many days it’s been…I did text all of the kids yesterday and they are doing fine and are all working from home…my son in NYC is taking a couple of weeks off since it is a hotbed of the virus infection and he is trying hard to avoid it…and I am a little concerned about him but what can I do? Talked to a few friends over the past couple of days and, with them being normal people who go out and do things, it appears that this stay at home thing is much harder for them than it is for me…at least at this point…I really haven’t had any social life for a couple of years now so I’m used to being by myself…and part of that was the need to save cash until I officially retired and got some money coming in…oh, and that reminds me that I need to bitch about something…it appears that the stimulus that is wending it’s way through congress and is supposed to put money in people’s hand to spend to keep the economy going is mostly a bailout of business and individuals have had to file taxes last year to get anything…and that leaves out all of us who are living on Social Security since we don’t pay taxes on it…and we are the ones who can use the money the most and will spend it….so, the repub bullshit that this is going to help people is blown up…and they are giving billions to cruise ship companies that are not even American…but they are well connected in conservative circles….did you expect anything else? Oh, well…I won’t starve but I do worry about the older folks who could really use the cash and I fault Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer for letting this happen…okay, that’s enough for now….more later…

It’s all wishful thinking..
Well…it appears that you are going to get a bunch of these every day since I have time on my hands as I wait for the weather to get better so I can start on the outside of the house…have been seeing stories about conservatives who are getting the virus and appearing to change their ways from the selfish, conspiracy theory morons that they have been for decades…yeah, I don’t believe a bit of it…it’s all wishful thinking on the part of the media that they have the capacity to be compassionate human beings and to put aside their hate if even for a little while….after all, 95% of repubs think the idiot trump is going a “great” job of handling this crisis and how can you square that with the facts on the ground that his 6 week delay on doing anything and his lying press conferences are getting people killed as we speak? This whole thing is just the typical conservative’s behavior to hate people and programs that enhance the public good until they personally are affected by a crisis and then it’s a miracle….and they make a big show of “changing” until the spotlight is off them and then they just go back to their anti science, hate filled lives…so, media, spare me the “foxhole conversion” stories about conservatives…they are and will always be terrible people and no virus is going to change that…
We’re not a shipping clerk?
Well…now I know we’re all doomed when the person supposedly in charge of making sure that the country has enough medical supplies to fight the virus flippantly dismisses the state’s requests to do something to help by saying “we’re not a shipping clerk” and pushing it back to the governors to do it…if this is what the asshole trump thinks is not his job then what the hell is? The federal government has always stepped in when an emergency happens and the states either don’t have the resources or the ability to deal with the emergency themselves…and I’m sure part of it is that the states that need the most help right now are blue states that didn’t vote for idiot boy and he doesn’t think anyone is worth anything unless they voted for him…and he always makes everything about him…how he’s doing, what the effect of any action is on him….okay, repubs..by voting to acquit this moron you have blood on your hands…the blood of thousands of Americans that are going to die because you put politics and personal gain ahead of your duty to protect all Americans….I wonder if we can survive until we throw moron boy out in the next election?
They knew weeks ago…
Well…the latest story that has just come out on the news wires is that a repub senator knew how bad the coronavirus was going to be and he warned a group of his donors about it over three weeks ago…so, the repubs knew that this outbreak was going to be bad long ago but didn’t do a damn thing about it…no testing, no ramping up of protective gear for doctors and nurses, and no crash “all hands on deck” moment…just lies and preening by trump and his cronies to try to make it all about him…and the “wonderful” job he is doing. So they deliberately didn’t do one damn thing that could have saved lives….while the idiot trump waited for the moron Jared to get a “plan” together to fight this virus…what the hell does jared know about it anyway? Not much since he has been googling what other countries are doing and talking to his family about what to do….geez I can’t wait for these entitled assholes to be gone…and Sen Richard Burr, who was the repub senator who told his donors about how bad this is going to be, should resign today since he did nothing, no call to the WH to get their asses moving, no press…no nothing…just let people die while he scoops up cash…just like the rest of the repubs. They all need to be gone in November…and we can make that happen…vote!
Permanent absentee ballots…
Well…with the coronavirus situation looking worse by the day and the prospect of sheltering in place looming for months, there is one thing we can do here in Michigan to ensure that we can vote this fall and throw this incompetent asshole and his cronies out in November. Due to a citizens initiative here ( and no thanks to the vote suppressing repubs) everyone who wants one can now sign up to get a permanent absentee ballot sent to you for no reason at all…it is quick and easy to do at the SOS website and, and you can change it through the county clerk’s office as I did when I changed my address to GR…and the city of GR did it for me when I did that address change. I know that some of you like the process of going out to vote as I did…but I’ve seen the lines that come with repubs closing polling locations and moving them, so to stick a sharp stick in their eye, I signed up and got my first ballot for the dem primary and it was 5 minutes to fill out and send back….and it got here about 10 days before it had to be sent back so no pressure….so, let’s be proactive and get this done so the repubs can’t screw with our voting anymore…oh, and one more thing…if you got the census request in the mail, go to the website and fill it out…it is important for all kind of reasons especially the re drawing of districts here…and lots and lots of funding for our state depends on it…so take a few minute and fill it out…I’m doing mine tomorrow…
Dire predictions….
Well…as more and more assessments of the dire state of the country and the future depression come in, it is clear that the two months that the idiot trump and his cronies downplayed the effects of the virus to both individuals and the economy and diddled around because they don’t know anything is going to have worse effects than even the worst case scenarios. This incompetence and willful dereliction of duty are going to cost the lives of upwards to a million Americans and is going to put over 20% of workers out of work…and do permanent damage to the economy that will not be repaired in my lifetime….these assessments are calling 2020 a “lost year” where all we are going to be able to do is survive…and supply chains of food and other necessary supplies are going to crash unless the government gets involved and right the frick now…so everyone is going to be affected and it is not going to be pretty…and I am so damn mad that the repubs are still playing like it business as usual…with Rand Paul blocking the start of the recovery legislation because he want to know how were going to “pay” for it…we’re going to pay for his obstruction by putting hundreds of thousands more out of work and killing thousands more Americans…the time to act is yesterday..the depression is here and we have morons in charge…not sure if we’ll survive this….
A badge of honor…
Well…our governor Whitmer must be doing something right because she sure had gotten under the idiot in chief’s skin…after her appearance on MSNBC where she told the truth that the federal government…run by idiot boy…”didn’t take the threat of this virus seriously” and now the governors are having to step in and clean up the mess, trump blew up on twitter with his normal insults saying that he stands with the people of Michigan…yeah, no you don’t you moron…weeks and weeks ago you could have done anything to get more testing to determine the scope of the problem but you belittled the scientists and said your “gut feeling” was that there would only be a few cases and your response to the crisis was “perfect”…only in your diseased mind is anything you have ever done “perfect”…you have bungled every damn thing you have touched your entire life…and let’s talk about low the bar is to measure your performance….a bar that is so low they had to dig a six foot deep hole to find it…with the media heaping praise on you for not being the worst asshole in the world for 5 whole minutes yesterday…and the stories that you had changed were all over the media…and it’s the same old bullshit that we see when you manage to not drool all over yourself…he’s changed…but that’s just frickin not true….cripes, I’ll bet everyone would love to be judged at work with that same bar…if you show up and don’t crap on your desk you get a promotion! Let’s be blunt…Governor Whitmer, it is a badge of honor to be attacked by the dotard in chief…it means you are smart, decisive, and successful and he just can’t stand when his failings are pointed out to him…keep it up and keep protecting us here in Michigan.
Yow! Dow down 3,000 points today…
Well…with the incompetent “stable genius” in the WH and his flailing on every damn thing, financial traders and investors have voted their vote of no confidence in the idiot trump and his minions by a bloodbath in the stock market today…never seen in history, the Dow lost 3,000 points today…a 13% drop in just one day…to put this in perspective, I’ll use the example I’ve used before…if you had 100K in your 401K this morning, you now only have 87 thousand…and since Feb 12 if you started with that same 100K, you have about 65 thousand of it left and tomorrow could be even worse…how do you feel now, trump voters? What the hell could make you not support this country destroying murderer? Losing everything? Oh, I get it…it’s Obama’s fault for letting the stock market get so high on his watch and tricking you into thinking you were doing well…and this was a long term plan, just like his fake birth certificate….who would ever think that electing a stupid game show host would cause any problems? As with what he said about the coronavirus just today to the governors of this country..”you are on your own”… he takes no responsibility for anything and never has in his entire life….so I guess we ARE on our own…hey idiot boy, why not make it official and just resign already…every damn time you open your mouth you do more and more damage….and you’ve only got 8 months left anyway…
It’s going to get real…
Well…I guess today is the day that shit is going to get real here in Michigan with the coronavirus…last week, our governor took the necessary step of closing down all of our K-12 schools and universities and colleges did the same…but this morning, if the reports are correct, governor Whitmer is going to issue an order closing all bars and restaurants except for take outs since there are enough idiots our there who are stupid or repubs, or both who are not taking this disease seriously and are still going out and packing themselves in these crowded spaces when it is clear that this lack of personal space is what fuels transmission. To show how stupid the repubs really are, just yesterday we had the idiot Devin Nunes going on tv telling people to go out to restaurants and bars because it will be easy to get a reservation and the repub governor of Oklahoma posting photos of he and his family mugging it up at a crowded restaurant while dismissing the severity of this outbreak. Now, maybe this will spur the natural selection that we need to rid ourselves of such stupidity but I don’t wish any disease on anyone….I am pissed because these idiots could infect me or any one of my brothers or sisters who are all over 60…and two who are pushing 80 and the death rate for people that age is pushing 20%…maybe they’ll stop being stupid when grandma dies…but, probably not….what morons….
Ten percent more gone…
Well….just finished up doing my last grocery run for a month and took a look at the dow averages…yow, down another 10% this morning or about 2300 points which took back all the gains that the idiot trump was crowing about last week…and these losses show that traders have lost confidence that idiot boy and his minions know what the hell they are doing…and this was after the fed just cut interest rates to zero and pumped 1.5 trillion…yep, with a T, into the banking system to maintain liquidity….now, I am not a great believer that the Dow is a gauge of the health of the economy, but it is an indicator of the carnage that is going to happen because trump and his cronies fiddled while the cornonavirus got a foothold here and is now exploding across the country…and it has been left to governors and mayors to do make the hard decisions as trump crows ‘I’m not responsible” for the lack of testing and information about the spread of the virus….information that is vital to keeping the virus from killing thousands here. To emphasize the depravity of trump and his minions, you just have to look at the news reports from Reuters that detailed trump’s efforts to buy a German company that is working on a vaccine…and the big stipulation that trump put on the transaction is that the vaccine would be exclusively for use in the US….yep, as normal, trump is saying “go to hell” to the rest of the world in the midst of this crisis an showing that he really is “the worst person in the world” to steal a phrase from Keith O. I wonder how long it will take to fumigate the stench from the WH and get our allies to trust us again? I guess we’ll find out in November….
