Well…it is with some glee that I read that ole rick Perry’s campaign is dying quickly to the point that he has stopped paying his staffers and has told them that they can start looking for new jobs. Now…I knew this was going to start happening at some point to the candidates from the ‘kiddie table” debate but I thought this grifter would be able to grift enough money to at least make it a couple of more months….I think his billionaires have given up on him and now he may even have to get a job somewhere…I would suggest a greeter at Walmart would be the perfect thing for him….he’s not bright enough to do anything else…no matter that he is wearing “smart” looking glasses…what a maroon…and good riddance….

It is to laugh, JEB!
Well…just read an article that made me laugh out loud on the new attack that JEB! is trying to level against Obama and Hillary…and it goes like this…that Iraq was in control and everything would have been just fine if that darn Obama would have just kept up the policies of ole GW…and that ISIS is the fault of Obama, too since something, something….yeah, I know…you’re laughing, too at this bit of absurdist revision of history…never mind that the entire upheaval in the middle east was caused by his lying brother and his cronies who lied and lied us into a fake war that they wanted…and that ole GW’s policy of disbanding the Iraqi army with nothing to take it’s place is what is fueling ISIS now….most of it’s leadership comes from the officer class of the army who were summarily dismissed by Bremer, the idiot. So, I can’t wait for the rebuttal by Hillary who has been more and more of an attack dog against the repubs on the campaign trail and won’t let JEB! slide on this one…should be fun to watch….
No more war…
Well…this thought just came to me as I was thinking about a topic for today…since I was born, there has been war for more than half of my years…i was born when the Korean war was still going on…then we had Vietnam, then various invasions like Panama and Grenada….the we got mired in the middle east for two Iraq wars and Afghanistan…and that adds up to more than half of my life. Now, we have many on the right clamoring for another one in Iran and I have had enough…no more wars..just bring our damn troops home and let them rest a while…let them see that there is normal after their tours…let’s just stop using up people and discarding them to feed the blood lust of the right…and let’s stop the profit making of the war machine that controls the right these days….as John Lennon said…”give peace a chance”…geez…
A whole lot of nothin…
Well…just watched the first “kiddie table” debate and all I can do is echo Hunter and say there was a whole lot of nothin there….other than troops to the middle east and more war…Clinton bad…yadda, yadda…small, small people with small, small ideas…geez…oh…and Bobby Jindal being very proud of taking healthcare away from poor women in his state….
The repub debates….
Well….I’m not sure if I’m anticipating the debates today or not…I do know that the first one with the junior varsity at 5 is going to be hard to take but may be the most interesting one with the participants doing so poorly in the polls that they have to do something, anything, to get a little traction with the repub electorate. But, my problem there is that I won’t have any cocktails yet to numb me to the stupidity that is sure to ooze from that stage….and that puts my tv in danger since I may just have to throw something at it with all of the lies and idiocy…I have been contemplating taking notes so I’ll be able to comment on them tomorrow but there are so many sites that will be doing live blogging or summaries that I’m not sure I want to make the effort. The varsity debate at 9 should be palatable with at least two cocktails in me by then but there will be the same or even more danger to the tv after the cocktails….and there is a compilation of “The Daily show” on comedy central that I can turn to as a palate cleanser if I need it…I am kind of looking forward to Christie and Trump going at it but I think the rest of them will follow the talking points that have been issued by the billionaires and will include “Benghazi!” and many other attacks on Hillary….might be better than re runs…..maybe not….
Iran…
Well…I thought it pertinent to write about the pending Iran nuclear deal on the anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima 70 years ago today….almost 90,000 people died in that blast with thousands more dying in the years after…I know it was necessary to end the war but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn something from it. But now, we have idiots like Tom Cotton proposing we use nuclear weapons to take out Iran’s nuclear capacity and then send in an occupying force to ensure that all of their capability is gone… and this is the thing….the deal that was negotiated by the US and the four other nations…Russia, China, France, and England will ensure that there will be no capability for Iran to get a bomb…at least for 10 years while, by intelligence estimates, destroying their program now will only set them back 5 to 7 years…so, what do you want? An agreement that costs the US nothing and prevents the bomb for at least 10 years, or to bomb and invade Iran that would cost trillions (again) and thousands of US lives? I am tired of war…we have negotiated with our enemies throughout the history of this country and why not now? The only reason is that these idiots on the right have tunnel vision that war is the only way we will get what we want in the world…and they think the same way in the US trying to govern…our way or the highway is the only acceptable option to them…but, that is just not how the world works….these guys are just too stupid to know that….geez…
Questions for the repub debate….
Well…with fox news running the debate for the repubs tomorrow night and 3 of their biggest toadies there being the moderators, I want to speculate a little about some of the questions that will be asked….let’s take them numerically…
1. Is Obama one of the worst presidents in US history or is he the worst?
2. Did Hillary order the attack on Benghazi or did she just cover up that the CIA did it?
3. Will Obamacare kill your grandmothers this year or will they wait until next year?
4. The liberals want to tax the rich to pay for infrastructure repairs….why shouldn’t we give them more tax cuts instead?
5. Some women in the country have the expectation that they should control their own bodies….tell us why they are too stupid to do that.
You get my drift…I am going to watch just for grins but I’ll bet there are at least one of the questions above that are really asked in some form….geez…
What to say about Lindsey Graham?
Well…as we all know, repubs lie and lie and lie all the time since they know there is never any consequences to their lies…and the same is going on with ole Lindsey…he has been touting his 33 years of military service on his website along with his training of other lawyers in the JAG office…only one tiny little problem there, when contacted, the JAG office could find no record that he ever showed up…not once in the 33 years he has been sucking up his pay as a Lt. Colonel and Colonel has he done anything to earn his pay…over the 33 years the only records of anything he did was 108 hours of training…in 33 years of taking the money…108 hours. Let me put that in perspective for you…my younger sister, in her 20 years in the Army reserve did two weeks every summer at camp Grayling here in Michigan…learning the skills she would need if she was ever called up…and that doesn’t include the years she spent touring with the Army Reserve band…..so in 33 years ole Lindsay did less time than my sister did in two weeks every summer…and yet he just kept on taking the pay and railing against people on welfare getting “free money” from the government…I guess it’s okay if a repub does it…but not a poor person that needs it…I just hate these lying asses…there should be some discipline for stealing your pay for 33 years…geez…
Trump slush….
Well….just had to do a short one on ole Donald’s latest comment on Obama and his presidency….the other day, ole Donald said that it will be generations before we elect another black president since he thinks Obama has been a “failure”…..yep, a failure..who helped end the financial crisis, who worked to get millions of more Americans health insurance, and who worked with our allies to negotiate an end to Iran’s nuclear bomb program. I wish more presidents would fail like that. but the funny thing here is, by the Donald’s logic, we won’t elect another white president since the last one was such a failure…do you ever think before you open your mouth, you idiot? Man…have to try to figure out when stupidity became a requirement for the repubs to run for president…geez…
JEB!’s the smart one?
Well…as you all know, the repubs don’t really care about the constitution or the law for that matter unless it can be used to hurt people they don’t like…and, a couple of days ago ole JEB! showed just how much they respect the law when he proposed, if he were elected president, that he would unilaterally cut the pay of members of congress if they didn’t show up to vote on everything that is proposed…now, nevermind that their were over 5400 bills introduced last year and that would make it something like 20 a day they would have to vote on…the big takeaway here is that his little scheme is unconstitutional….the executive branch can’t do anything to the legislative…the founders set it up that way to ensure that power is never concentrated in one branch…and, if ole JEB! could control their pay, you can bet he would use it to punish those who didn’t vote ole JEB!’s way….I am not surprised that this idiot would propose something like this….he was supposed to be the smart one…and I am shuddering to think that ole GW may be the smart one compared to JEB! yow…..
