Well…i will admit I’m a little gleeful with the document dump that came out of Wisconsin over the past couple of days that shows that ole Scott Walker knew that his public employees who worked for the county where he was executive were illegally using county time and resources to support his campaign for governor….something he has said over and over that he knew nothing about. How’s that lying working out for you, Scotty? Not to mention this is public corruption that is a high misdemeanor and the same thing that at least one of those aides has gone to jail for. So, I call on the prosecutor there to take this new evidence and charge the idiot…I am heartened that there are still investigations going on in this matter and that is what should come out of it…let’s keep counting…third repub governor this year to be shown to be the criminal thugs that we on the left know they are…and again, just shows how the repubs don’t think the laws apply to them…only to the little guys like you and me…geez…

Stupid, stupid Republicans…
Well…as the repubs continue to gloat over defeating the union drive at the VW plant in Kentucky…this neat little tidbit came into the news this morning…the head of the union that represents workers at the plants in Germany said that there are now talks to possibly stop manufacturing in the US…and to certainly not expand production here…so, just to spite the unions here, the repubs have basically scared VW away from expansion and the prospect of thousands of new jobs is now gone….these idiots really thought, in their delusional minds, that VW would thank them for killing unionization even when VW told them that they wanted a union in that plant and that they are more profitable and efficient when they have a union shop. And, VW also understands that when their workers are paid fairly, they have enough money to buy their products and the entire economy benefits, not just the 1%. That is one of the major reasons why Germany is still a manufacturing powerhouse…workers and management work together to face the realities of the economy and share in the pain and gain…not the economy that the repubs want here…that the 1% gets everything and the workers get crap…geez…
Another difference between us and them…
Well…one of the things that has struck me lately is how stark the differences are between the right and the left and how the right has basically abandoned any idea of governing that is not related to scoring political points or pushing their crazy, regressive agenda on the US when the polls show that more than 60% of the people here don’t want to hear it anymore. How legislation used to work before the ideologues took control of the repubs was that you would look at the needs of the country, you would look at the problems of the times whether it was economic growth, unemployment, hunger or any other goal that would make the country better and then try to do something about it….and, normally when legislation was passed and after time, it was found that there needed to be changes to make it work better, both the right and left would get together to make it better…something that needs to be done for lower income middle class people in the ACA…but, with the right’s rabid fervor to kill government in any form other than the parts that would advance their social agenda, they have decided to not do their jobs so they can continue to try to score political points….with no thought to what the citizens of this country need to make their lives better. That sums up the difference…that repubs only thought is to score cheap political points and drive their ideology while the dems really do want to solve the problems of the country….geez…
The stupid runs really deep in Kentucky…
Well…as time goes on, I am more and more amazed at how stupid the workers in repub areas are….this was shown this past week when the workers at a VW plant in Kentucky voted to not unionize even though VW wanted them to to bring the plant in line with every other VW plant across the world…and a big part of it was the outside money and interference in the election by elected officials across Kentucky. So, these idiots in Kentucky think that it is better to have no say in their wages, working conditions, and problem resolution? How brainwashed must they be to believe the crap that the repubs were spewing…the lies that one of their senators in particular spread…that VW would not have any new products built at the plant if they unionized…something that VW flatly denied? I am stunned that these folks are so steeped in the Fox news propaganda against unions across this country…unions, by the way that built the middle class and without which, the workers at that VW plant would be making half what they make now…does that make them takers? I think it does…geez…
The crazy has exploded in Kansas…
Well…I have been working up the outrage I need to do this one but a new law in Kansas is so jaw-droppingly crazy that I am struggling with how to even describe it…let’s give it a try…yesterday, the Kansas house passed a new law that says that anyone working in any job can refuse to provide services to anyone they suspect to be gay and use the “religious” excuse…and there are no exemptions for police, firefighters, or state employees…so now, in Kansas, if a firefighter pulls up to house that is on fire and he thinks the owner looks gay, he can just drive away without any consequences and let the persons house burn down…the same for any police officer there…if he/she sees a crime in progress and they think the victim looks gay, they can then just walk or drive away and leave the person to fend for themselves…and, the same goes for any state employee…if you walk into the DMV and the clerk thinks you look gay (whatever that is) they can refuse to provide the service they are being paid to do…what the hell is wrong with Kansas? They must know that this crap is against federal law and will be struck down…so why do they want to spend millions defending this institutional discrimination instead of using the money to benefit the people of Kansas? I just have no more words about this crap…geez…
Justin Amash is still an idiot…
Well…when I was working out this morning, watching the little tv that is next to the weight machine, I saw an ad by Justin Amash, the idiot tea party rep from west Michigan that goes on and on how he is proud to still be fighting to take people’s health insurance away by repealing Obamacare…but, there is one really funny part of it that made me smile…he has one of the people at his town hall meeting get up and say how scared he is that Obamacare is going to take away his healthcare….but, this guy must be 70 so he is already on Medicare and Obamacare has nothing to do with him….and, if he thought at all, he should be scared that ole Justin wants to end Medicare and turn it into another giveaway to the insurance companies…because that is what ole Justin has said he wants to do…what a frickin idiot…geez…
Just trying to stay current…
Well…I have still not recovered from the day yesterday but I have started to feel guilt about not getting things done here so I am back for another one…it is funny how the right has gone off the rails today with ole Boehner having to use the dems to get the clean debt ceiling bill passed…the right is calling for his head since they want to keep fighting and being asses and he had a brief bout of sanity….and it is just so funny that sanity is the one thing the right just can’t tolerate…and the fact that he took this club away from the neanderthals until after the next election later in the year….I am still waiting for ole “Carnival Cruz” to try to make mischief while Reid tries to get it through the Senate….should be fun to see…
Isn’t this illegal?
Well…int he runup to the union vote at a VW plant in Tenessee, the righties are out in force basically threatening the workers and even VW if they approve UAW representation. My question is: isn’t this illegal? Almost every repub in Tennessee has weighed in…threatening VW that they will never get another tax break if they go along with the unionization…even though VW has seen how well the “works council” relationship has worked in Europe and really do want the same kiind of relationship with their workers here in the states…but, have also threatened workers with retaliation if they vote for the union…now, I am pretty sure this is against the law and I can’t wait until a complaint gets filed with the NLRB and the lawsuits start to fly. These idiots in Tennessee have said that they will not approve any more tax breaks for the expansion that VW is planning…so, let me get this straight…if their workers vote to improve their work lives, the repubs will attack workers just to spite them and drive any new VW plant to Mexico? This just shows you again that the repubs don’t give a damn about the workers in their states…just about the ideology that cuts workers wages and say in the workplace…but, this time, they don’t even have the support of the company in question…why don’t they just leave them alone and let the company do what it thinks is right? Geez…
Let’s not be stupid, folks…
Well…it appears that there will be a vote on a clean debt ceiling increase tomorrow and I am starting to get irritated with the left starting to frame the action as”caving” by Boehner…who really cares what the reasons are behind it or what it looks like? If you have any feel for politics, the first thing you should be thinking is that we got what we wanted but we don’t have to further poison the waters by rubbing his nose in it. We should be thanking Boehner even if it’s just for show…everyone knew he had to get to this point with a clean bill but it also helps our side if we try to reward him for this behavior…one of the basic tenets of psychology is that you get the behavior you reward for…so, let’s take the long view and reward him for it…you never know, it might make his base so pissed that he gets a primary challenge this year…we can only hope…
What the hell is it with Michigan Republicans?
Well…you would think after ole Dave Agema went off on gays, Muslims, and everyone else who is not a repub here in Michigan saying that gays use up all of the insurance for everyone since they all have aids, that the repubs would understand that this is batshit crazy and would tone it down some…but nope, now we have another Michigan repub who is running to represent Michigan in the national repub party saying pretty much the same thing about gays, saying that “Satan uses homosexuality to attack the living space of the holy spirit” and that all gays should be purged from the party…don’t really know what to say about that but it does show a pattern from the repubs that they have tried and tried to hide to appeal to people who aren’t haters…I find it telling that there are still such backward, idiotic people and that they are all from the repub party…I just don’t understand what has happened to the repubs here in Michigan…a party that gave us Bill Milliken and Jerry Ford…but, I will say “keep it up” define yourselves so we don’t have to….geez…
