Well…there was a lot of consternation by commenters and the news media that the Dominion/fox news suit was going to be settled before trial but jury selection has started today so I guess those talks are off…I wanted to see the suit go to trial for selfish reasons…that a trial will do much more damage that any settlement since settlements can be kept secret and we might have never known what happened and fox would be able to continue to lie about it…and I know why there was concern in the media about a settlement…since that would take away an easy story for them that will stay in the news now probably for months as the trial goes on…with the earlier summary judgement earlier that Dominion’s evidence gotten in discovery already proved fox’s liability, the only thing that Dominion needs to prove now is what’s called “actual malice” that fox new they were lying and kept it up anyway…and that may be a little difficult but is certainly doable….can’t wait to read more about the trial…and remember that this is just the first suit…Smartmatic has another, bigger one in the pipeline and if fox loses the Dominion suit, it will be in a world of hurt for the second one….geez…

Cut, cut, cut…
Well…as we approach the chaos that will be defaulting on the debts of the US by the repub led House, there is no plan by the somewhat speaker to do anything about it but to propose cuts to everything…and the place he wants to cut the most is to food assistance for the poor that will throw 41 million Americans to the wolves…but he is also trying to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and SS just to make the cuts hurt the most people…and the thing I don’t understand is why poor old white people keep voting for repubs when they constantly try to hurt or even starve them to death. As they start to realize that the repubs are really going to crash the world economy so they can get rid of every social program, economists are starting to run around with their hair on fire and have started to pressure repubs to not be stupid…but when you have repubs like MTG in the House, they can only be stupid because they are stupid….even senate repubs have stated they won’t support the plan that mccarthy has floated so why the hell is he still trying and trying to get support for it…cripes, I don’t even think he can get enough votes in the house but he is just too damn dense to realize it…this is the problem when you put morons in charge of the House…geez…
The party of freedom?
Well…you would think that at least one repub would have a bout of clarity about their hypocrisy touting that they are the party of “freedom”…freedom for who? Surely not for young people trying to learn the true history of this country….surely not for half of the country who are women and are having their rights taken away by the repubs ever damn day…certainly not the Florida lawmaker who gave her phone number out on the House floor and told women and girls to call her so she can help them with abortion care and the evil desantis had her arrested…certainly not our friends in the LGBTQ community who are fleeing red states to keep from being attacked an murdered just for being who they are…and certainly not the young athletes who now have to have their genitals “inspected” before they can participate in sports in Idaho….this sure as hell is not “freedom” and it is clear by comparison to blue states that it is the repubs in red states doing all of this….taking away people’s rights and exposing them to hate is not freedom for them…I guess it is freedom for the repub haters who are passing all these fascist laws…geez…
Where are you repubs?
Well…since on of the many right wing assholes has been charged with revealing classified information on the internet, two questions come to mind…if this guy can be charged in a couple of days for stealing classified documents, why the hell has it been two years and no charges for the idiot trump? After all, he stole a hundred times more documents and it now being reported that he showed some of them to people on his plane and that is another felony that he needs to be charged with…the second question is why haven’t any of the repub leadership condemned this asshole’s actions? Not one of them have made a peep…hmmm…I wonder why? Could it be that this is their racist base that they need to win elections? And they are scared to say anything about this white, anti Jew, racist ass because they truly believe the same things as he does…this is just another page in the repub parties new playbook and they love the hate spewers and live vicariously through them…geez…
It gets worse with Thomas…
Well…if it wasn’t enough that Clarence Thomas took 500K worth vacations (bribes) from a billionaire donor, today it was revealed that he broke the law by selling some real estate to that same billionaire and not disclosing it…and the disclosure is covered by statute so there is no getting around that Thomas is a criminal and has broken the law…but this is just they typical repub bullshit…they don’t think the law applies to them at all and they can do whatever they want…after all the gifts and free vacations have been going on for over 20 years and have been widely reported on…and John Roberts does nothing about it so why wouldn’t Thomas think he’s above the law? You can bet your ass the if you or I broke this law, we’d be sitting in the slammer…and it wouldn’t take 20 years to do anything about it…geez…
The delusion runs deep in the idiot boy…
Well…just wanted to do a short one on the deepening delusion of the idiot boy that was revealed in and interview with tucker the other night…when he was arrested and arraigned last week, the idiot trump to tucker there were people all over the place crying and apologizing for processing him…and he emphasized that is was “grown men” who were crying…and I wonder why anytime anyone is around idiot boy, they start crying…now, I would understand laughing since he is just so frickin ridiculous a person, but crying? Yeah I guess I can imagine that once the person realizes what a chump he was for supporting the orange cancer…it would be a human reaction…oh, right…these folks are not human and show it every day…geez…

Well…with the obvious corruption of Clarence Thomas back in the news and the call of the dems to Roberts to do a quick and in depth investigation of all of it, it is just so funny they are asking Roberts to do something he has already ignored at least once…the dems who wrote the new letter start out with saying “11 years ago” when they asked Roberts to investigate the last time and he did nothing but enable Thomas to continue his ethical lapses by never recusing himself from cases that had to do with his wife or companies he has investment in…I wonder what it will take to get Roberts of his butt? For someone who is supposed to be concerned with his “legacy”, Roberts has presided over the most corrupt court in the nation’s history and won’t do his job as chief justice to enforce even the smallest ethics guidelines…and he sat on his hands as the repubs put liar after liar on the court when he could have at least kept Kavanaugh off it…but no, he was complicit in the courts slide into illegitimacy where only 20% of Americans trust the court anymore because he did nothing to stop it…and it the dem senators who wrote him this new letter thinking he’s going to act differently, they are either stupid or part of the problem…we need a Judicial Committee investigation, and we need it right now…geez..

Well…as the repub party keeps going further and further right and uses some actually fascist shenanigans to get what they couldn’t in any election, the rest of the country is leaving them behind on every issue that is important to real Americans. Starting with the “big lie” that trump won the 2020 election…64% of repubs truly believe that he did even though there was no voter fraud at all…and that is compounded by the fact that they refuse to believe that any election they lose is legitimate…on covid the general public knows it is more dangerous than the flu at 64% while only 40% of repubs do…and as ghoulish as it sounds, natural selection is going to take many more of their voters than our side and I think they made a bad bet going against the vaccine…on the January 6th attack, 43% of repubs think idiot boy was not responsible for any of it and dems and independents were at 60% that trump was responsible….on women’s rights it is a cavern between the repubs an everyone else with only 25% saying the overturning of Roe was a bad thing while almost 80% of the sane people said it was…and this same cavern has oped on every other issue and if the repubs think they can woo back the independents and some dems, they really are delusional…and when fail districts are drawn like they were here in Michigan, the repubs lose because all they have is hate to sell…no ideas or policies that help people…just more and more groups they hate and laws that hurt people…and most Americans don’t want that…geez…

Well…damn, you are not going to believe how far down the fascist rat hole Texas has gone in the past week…after telling his friends that he was going to murder some protesters in 2020, a man in Texas did just that…he drove his car into a crowd of protesters and when one of then walked up to his car, he shot him 5 times…trying to use Texas’ “stand your ground” laws to protect himself from a murder charge…but just last week, a jury unanimously convicted him of murder…but here comes the twist…because tucker called out the governor abbott for letting this go to trial, abbott is now going to pardon this murderer because I guess it’s not a crime anymore for a repub to murder people in the street…and folks, this is what fascism looks like…where the in group can do whatever the hell they want without consequences because they control the government and have no morals or respect for the rule of law…and it is spreading into every red state…we need to vote these fascist assholes out and now….
Georgia is heating up…
Well…the NYT is out with a story today saying that the investigation into trump and his cronies is heating up and the signs point to the idea that Fani Willis is going to go big with her investigation since she has infomed almost 20 people they are targets of the investigation…and we know idiot boy is one of them and rudy, too, along with the head of the Georgia repub party…and since mark meadows was on the call where idiot boy asked the SoS to “find” 12,000 votes he should be one of them…and let’s not forget the phone calls that lindsey graham made for the same purpose….if there are around 20 people under investigation, it should be all of idiot boy’s inner circle along with all of the people in on the fake electors scheme, too…so, there are indictments coming…just not soon enough for me….
