Well…today is the day the US hits the debt ceiling and it looks like the repubs really are going to crash the economy just to try to eliminate SS and Medicare….estimates out there say if they keep this crap up it could cost the US 6 million jobs…and one thing we have to remember is that every time the repubs are in charge, they tank the economy and add mountains of debt that the dems then have to fix…and over 25% of the current debt was added in the idiot trump’s term with the huge tax cuts that were given to the rich and corporations…and to show how stupid it is even having a debt limit, there is only one other country in the world that has one…I think it’s Finland or some other Scandinavian country…look, you don’t negotiate with terrorists and that’s what the modern repub party is…a terrorist organizations whose only purpose is to hurt people and you don’t reward people like that…do not negotiate, Joe…geez…

Distilled modern repub party…
Well…not sure if you’ve been following the saga of the newly elected repub from NY, George Santos, but that story is perfect distillation of what the modern repub has become….first, he lied about everything in his personal history…college, heritage, accomplishments, everything…nothing he told the voters was true and it has since been revealed that he was financed by Russian oligarchs and has been spouting Russian talking points since he got elected…just another extension of Putin’s screwing with our political system…and the sick thing is that the repub party knew all this and didn’t do a damn thing about it…and now McCarty is putting him on committees where he will be able to access classified material that will certainly end up in Putin’s hands and still the repubs don’t do anything about it…the modern repub party is just an arm of Russia anyway and has been since they installed the idiot trump as president…and yet they keep spouting that they are the party of “national security” and half of the country believes them…stupid, stupid Americans….geez…
It’s about time…
Well…with the repubs doing what they always do, holding the world hostage by threatening to not raise the debt ceiling, I was happy the other day when leading dems just flatly refused to negotiate with them, saying that they are not giving the repubs a “cookie” to get them to do their damn jobs. I sure hope the dems stick with it this time and don’t cave to public pressure…the last time the repubs did this, there was a bloodbath of election losses in the next election and there will be again…and that would make McCarthy just another loser repub that couldn’t get anything done….and we need to get out in front of this right now…putting the blame right where it belongs and keep hammering it until 2024 when we will take back the house and keep the senate and it will help Biden get elected again if he runs…as the saying goes “you don’t negotiate with terrorists…and that is just what the repubs are…economic terrorists…geez…
Hypocrites all…
Well…on the MLK day, I am sick of the repubs all quoting him and twisting or cherry picking his words to make themselves look like they are not the white supremacists they are…after all , once this day is over, these hypocrites will go back to trying to keep black and brown people from voting and will continue to support the racists like the proud boys while they try to tear down the social safety nets that the less well to do depend on…people like me…and none of them will again mention him until this day next year unless they are lying to say that MLK would be a maga repub if he was still alive…I’ve got news for you repubs…MLK was a socialist and proud of the social justice he advocated for and not one damn maga asshole supports that. So, let’s just agree that if you aren’t going to do anything to promote social justice, just shut the hell up…geez…
It’s not the same…
Well…the damn news media and the repubs are all breathless since they found 12 classified documents in Joe Biden’s house and office and the repubs are really trying to equate these documents with the 1100 that trump stole…first, as soon as the Biden documents were found, they followed procedure and notified the government and promptly returned them…and they were found in secure areas…and didn’t need to be subpoenaed…now lets contrast that with the idiot trump…he purposely picked and stole 1100 documents, left them where anyone could get to them, lied about having them, would not return them when asked, went to court to keep them, and finally the FBI had to raid his tacky Florida club to get them back…and they still don’t know if they have them all…so these incidents are not the same no matter what fox news says or the repubs say…finding the material in Biden’s home and office is part of the normal functions of government where trump is just a thief who wanted to profit off the material he stole….so shut the hell up…

Well…after it was announced that the idiot trump’s company was fined 1.6 million dollars for years of ongoing fraud that it was convicted of, immediately the cries of outrage that the fine was too small exploded everywhere I went on the internet today…and, at first, it even raised my outrage meter a bit that the fine was so small…but, settle down, people…that 1.6 million dollars was the largest fine allowed by law so the sentencing judge couldn’t raise it higher than that…so let’s look at this another way…it not very often that any lawbreaking organization gets the biggest fine possible…it’s usually quite a bit under it so I think the judge did the best he could in this instance to make sure people knew that these crimes were serious enough to merit the top fine…now they just need to lock the criminal in chief up…geez…
The Missouri taliban….
Well…when the Missouri legislature started today, guess what the first piece of business was? The repubs running it just had to propose new rules restricting what women can wear in the chamber…I guess the taliban there was too excited seeing the bare arms of women so they had to make a rule that said that women can’t wear anything that shows their bare arms….what’s next? Are these backward assholes going to propose that women have to wear skirts or hijab? Or veils covering their faces? This is the modern repub party folks…trying to treat women as second class citizens who have no innate rights but only those the men give them…and this is just a part of the repub plan to keep these uppity women in their place across this country…and the only way to make it stop is to stop voting for these pricks…geez..

Well…just saw a bit of good news that the special counsel brought in to consolidate all of the investigations into the idiot trump has brought in a public corruption specialist to be part of the team…and that he has just subpoenaed ole Rudy Giuliani for his role in the 250 million dollar scam that trump pulled when he fleeced his supporters, saying the money was going to be used to contest the election but he never spent any of it for that…and folks, that is called fraud and it is something that idiot boy’s company was just convicted of in NYC. And it looks like everyone else that was involved have been served as well and I sure hope that this means that Jack smith is moving this case and every other case forward and maybe, just maybe he will get to trump soon…and get him the hell out of public life once an for all…geez…

Well…with the repubs only controlling the House and the fact that they won’t be able to get any legislation passed through the Senate, it is pretty revealing that the only thing they are doing is setting up their “investigations” into almost everything that Biden has or hasn’t done over the past two years…and they are just salivating at investigating the January 6th committee and the justice department but especially the FBI who is investigating all of the criminals who were in on the January 6th plot…including the people who will be running those “investigations”…so Merrick Garland has to get off his butt and charge these assholes before that happens….or before they figure out how to derail all of the real investigations into the traitor trump….I still think this is going to backfire on the repubs in the house…and their infighting has already started the downward spiral of their approval ratings that are going to keep dropping if the talk about cutting SS or Medicare which they will never get through the senate, either…and in 2024 we will take back the house, hopefully for good and then back to repairing all the damage these morons are going to do…
Things are moving in Georgia…
Well…for the past few days I have been having a heck of a time finding topics in politics that interest me enough to do one of these about it…but today, it looks like things are starting to move in Georgia with the disbanding of the special grand jury there that has been investigating the idiot trump’s election interference and the conspiracy to substitute fake electors for the real ones…they have delivered their report to the court and it has accepted it and there will be a hearing on the 25th of this month that will decide whether to release it to the public…the next step should be indictment from a regular grand jury that has the power to do so, unlike the special who couldn’t. So, now the waiting starts to see if idiot boy will be held accountable for at least some of his crimes…and it pisses me off to hear pundits say that there is not enough evidence to indict the idiot for stealing government documents…cripes, the FBI confiscated them from his tack resort and he admitted taking them…what the hell else do they need? I just need them to do something about this criminal…and do it now….geez…
