Well..in a bit of good news, it was announced this morning that we have kept control of the senate and there is a possibility of even keeping the house if everything breaks our way…and these events punctured the doom and gloom that I felt when there were real prospects of losing them both…and going along with the dems taking over all of the power here in Michigan, maybe, just maybe I can get over the depression that came with the election…and I am excited that we can still accomplish a few things in the senate like getting more real judges appointed…not the hacks that the repubs always seem to nominate….and if we do hold the house, we need to take on the supreme court and do a real background investigation of Kavanaugh since thousands of tips on his criminal behavior were ignored by the FBI under the idiot trump and we still need to learn who paid off his quarter of a million dollar debts and paid off his house for him….sure sounds like a bribe to me…and then we need to expand the court and appoint real judges to the new seats, not the political hacks like alito who quote witch burners as reason for them taking rights away from women in this country…so, I guess I may even smile a bit today…not too much, but a little…

Ha, ha….the repubs here in Michigan are nuts…
Well…after the repubs lost everything here in Michigan when they couldn’t cheat, it is a little bit of fun listening to them pointing fingers at everyone but themselves…and they now have even started attacking the repubs who were at the top of the ticket saying they were not “quality” candidates…not that they are just the normal run of the mill maga candidates who had no ideas that anyone wanted…I mean the only reason that tudor dixon was their governor candidate was that betsy devos bought it for her…and all she did was spout that abortion rights would be gone if she was elected…and that was just so stupid with the constitutional amendment protecting those rights polling at nearly 70%…so she gave up all those votes for no reason at all…or just to keep the maga assholes happy…and that was the problem all the way down the ticket…and look at john gibbs who beat pete meijer in the primary…this said that women shouldn’t even have the right to vote and that was just fine with the repub primary voters…here’s the thing I’ve been harping on for quite a while now…if the vote is fair in Michigan, as it now has to be with gerrymandering essentially outlawed, we will win since they are more of us than repubs…and we have ideas for making the state better and the repubs only have hate to run on…and we’re tired of that crap…and that showed election day…yee ha…
They went too far…
Well…I think one of the reasons we now have abortion rights and voting rights enshrined in the constitution here in Michigan was that repubs went too far in trying to take those rights away…and with the overwhelming wins of those two proposals, it just shows that the repubs were never really governing for anyone but their base…and there are not enough voters in their base to win a fair election like the one we just had with the districts drawn by the independent commission that again, we voters had to enshrine in our constitution with the repubs cheating in every damn election with the worst gerrymander in the entire US. And we also saw the repubs fixation on taking rights away from the LGBTQ community and election denying were not winning strategies since they lost both the house and senate Tuesday. That’s as it should be…for 40 years the dems have had many more votes cast in every election but the repubs cheated to keep control of Michigan and ram their hate, stupidity, and religion down everyone’s throats…but those days are over for at least two years and I am excited to see what the dems can do to fix the damage the repubs did here…I would suggest a tax on the rich for starters and no more giveaways to business…wouldn’t that be nice?

Well…just got back from getting two teeth pulled and thought I’d do one of these with probably the only bit of good news about the election…the voters of Michigan…man, you gotta love them as they turned out in force for dems and turned control of the entire government over to the dems for the first time in 40 years…yep the entire damn government here is no longer going to be run by the election denier maga repubs who lost here big time…and that is due to the fair redistricting that was enshrined in the constitution by a vote of the people in 2020 so the repubs can no longer cheat…but the repubs did win the house so we are in for nothing but bullshit for the next two years…now, the dems still have control for two months so we can still get a few things done…still not going to read much news for a while yet unless trump gets indicted…and I need that to happen right now…

Well…yeah, I’m running late today since I pampered myself and sat here for hours reading one of the books I bought at the used book sale a couple of weeks ago…and I even only did one ride today since I was going into almost 20mph winds all the way out to the beach and I know that is going to hurt later…but I did have a thought that I just remembered after I finished the book…I read somewhere that the justice department was waiting until after the election to make any indictments in the many, many investigations that are going on with the idiot trump..so, can we hope that Wednesday could be that day? There is something going on since idiot boy went off three times in the past day or so, accusing every president before him of committing the same felonies he committed when he stole the thousands of pages of documents they found in his tacky Florida resort. So, maybe it is something to hope for if we lose the elections tomorrow…I know Michigan will be fine since dems are ahead in the three top office races and in the three proposals that would enshrine voting rights, abortion rights, and term limits in the state constitution….but the idiots who are bitching about inflation as the most important topic are going to vote for repubs even though most of it is caused by greedy corporations stealing from the people…so they will get more of that if they elect repubs…and they will deserve it…I just hope I win the 2 billion dollars tonight so I can pick up and leave this country for good…geez…
Doom and gloom…
Well…I really think I need to sell this house and move out of the US…with the almost certain repub takeover of the house, I can’t overstate it enough…our democracy is on the ballot and it looks like they are going to win…unless we get bailed out by women and the youngsters again…but how long can we pin the hopes of the whole country on turnout of those two groups? I just don’t understand how the election can be this close when the repubs have nothing, no policies or any plan to govern other than to investigate everyone in the Biden administration and impeach everyone all the way down to the floor sweeper…and why would any independent vote for that? But they are just because turkeys are more expensive this year…and it takes a few bucks more to fill up the car…I just want to stand on my roof with a bullhorn and shout that voting for any repub is a vote to kill our democracy…and that is not hyperbole…it is reality that will happen if they get control…so please, please dems and independents…get out to vote and vote for democracy, not for repubs….geez…

Well…I really don’t know why the cult has grown up around ole elon…I mean how hard is it to get rich when you start out with over 400 million dollars from daddy’s emerald mine where he made his money paying slave wages in the apartheid South Africa? And now, it looks like his not too brilliant move of buying twitter is going south in a hurry…especially when it looks like he paid about ten times what the company is worth and twitter has never made a profit…so how smart is it to take on 44 billion in debt when there is no profit to pay it back? Ole elon’s moves since he bought the company are head scratching at best…I mean firing half of the people who built it and are the ones who know how it runs and allowing the haters and trolls free reign so that hate speech, antisemitism, and maga bullshit has flooded it to the extent that most of the major advertisers have run for the hills…how does that make it more profitable? In a normal takeover, there are assets that the company taking over another can sell and strip all the money out of pension funds, etc. and then run away with everything that is worth anything…but what is there in twitter that is worth anything? No buildings, no factories, no stores, no inventory…the only thing that has any value is the goodwill of the users that is rapidly being killed as elon shows everyone he is just another petty little maga asshole and most thinking people don’t want to have anything to do with him….I really don’t think he’s playing 11 dimension chess on this one….just another rich guy thinking he knows more than anyone else….geez…
A bit of a rant…
Well…have been looking for a topic for a bit that I’ve made harder by doing the news blackout…and I haven’t had any luck so I guess I’ll go on a little rant instead…so, how the hell can people be so stupid? The damn repubs have been telling everyone they are going to destroy SS and Medicare right out in the open and yet the polls say that people in my age group, retirees, are going to overwhelmingly vote for the repubs just because they have to spend a few more dollars on groceries and gas….so let me get this straight, they are willing to vote for repubs since they have been lied into believing inflation is the dems fault, and that means they are voting to destroy the one program that is keeping most of them alive since they think the repubs will do something about inflation and save them 100 bucks a month? As I said, just frickin stupid to give up the average of 1700 bucks a month to save a hundred…where the hell is that 1700 bucks going to come from every month now? After Roe was overturned by the repubs after they had been trying to do it for 50 years, why don’t the old folks believe that they are going to destroy SS when they have been trying to do that sine the 1930’s? Don’t they understand that they will be going back to work until they die? Retirement as they know it is on the ballot in this election and they are throwing it away by voting for repubs…and I still can’t believe how stupid these folks are…geez…
The proposals are looking good…
Well…with the polls on candidates being manipulated by the right wing assholes loaded with money, I was thinking the same thing was going to happen here in Michigan with the three proposals to add voting rights, abortion rights, and term limits to the Michigan constitution…but luckily, they are all looking good with from 60 to 70 % support in the latest polls and all of the opposition being from repubs, of course. So, that is something to be happy about amid all of the bad news…it is getting so bad out there that I am going into a news blackout until after the election next Tuesday…I just can’t let the bad news pollute me and make me feel bad…just won’t do it…so you may not get so many political ones for the next few days since I normally get my topics from the news….
A new way for the repubs to cheat…
Well…you know, if the repubs would make as much effort putting together policies that help people as they do figuring out new ways to cheat in elections, they may just be more successful then they are. Just the other day, I read an article that exposed the newest way for them to cheat…by flooding the country with biased polls like the one from Rasmussen that always favors repubs, they are trying to discourage our side from voting since these polls make it appear the the outcome is a foregone conclusion with the repubs winning…and with the hundreds of roadblocks that the repubs have thrown up against voters on our side…it makes it easier for our folks to justify not voting if it looks like the votes won’t matter. Damn, I am sick and tired of these assholes trying to ruin this country and stealing elections…but we all know why they do it…without cheating, the repubs would never win another election since they have no policies that anyone wants….but I am also confused why dems won’t come out to vote since the dems do…okey dem voters and independents…get off your asses and vote like your life depends on it…in my case, it does since the repubs want to destroy the very Medicare that is going to pay for the treatment I’m going to need to survive…and you could be next…geez…
