Well…damn, the coffee needs to work today with how I’m feeling right now…just frickin worn out and have so much to get done today…going to have to shovel the alley if I’m going to get out but it’s only 7 degrees out there and it’s going to get colder with a low of -2 tomorrow…I wonder if the car will start…going to let it run while I shovel the alley this morning after the rides…but I’m only going to shovel tire tracks and not the entire alley…slept okay last night but I don’t feel like I did…at least I wasn’t up an down all night…I did have to shovel twice yesterday with the snow and wind and I’ll have to do all the walks again this morning…still not too sore and that is a little weird after all of the abuse I’ve heaped on my body…I mean I’m 72 after all…going to try the thawed potato soup today and I hope it wasn’t ruined by freezing it…and I took a container of ham soup out, too so I’ll be souping it all week…not much to do today…just need to get the normal stuff done and the shovel, shovel, shovel…and then out for the dentist appointment….more later…

Well…this is probably the nastiest day we’ve had since I moved out here…10 inches of sow so far, 40+ mph winds and only 13 degrees making the wind chill a good -20 and we have at least 10 more inches of snow coming…have 3 foot drifts across the walk to the garage and another 3 footer the entire length of my lot that is about 90 feet…going to have to dig out my long Columbia winter coat and get my Man U scarf to wrap around my neck…even with that, I’m not going to be able to be out in the wind for more than 10 minutes at a time…and I’ll have to shovel at least 3 and maybe 4 times today so I’m only doing one ride…needless to say I won’t be getting out to my appointment tomorrow afternoon since they haven’t plowed out here in more than 2 weeks…and in that time we’ve had more than 20 inches of snow…maybe closer to 30 inches…and we have snow in the forecast every day for the next two weeks…it’s getting below 0 Friday night…ick…

Well…woke up a little after 3 this morning and out of bed a little after 5 and that is really starting to suck…and we had 10 inches of snow overnight with the wind just howling and I’m pretty sure I’ll have to call and cancel my dentist appointment since I won’t be able to get out of here…it’s just a cleaning and I think I can miss that one…still not sore from shoveling and I can’t figure that out…I mean after all the work I should hurt but I don’t and I’ll take it…it’s going to snow for two weeks and the high today is 14 degrees and it’s just going to get colder with a high of 7 degrees Friday and we’ll be below zero for the low…I’m going to need to get out of here for supplies by Thursday but I’m not sure if that is going to be possible if they don’t plow…which they won’t…I do need to get going and get the normal stuff done right now so I can get out to shovel…I do haven 4 books left to read so that will get me through til Friday so I guess that’s something…just feel so damn trapped up here with the city not doing it’s job and I guess I’ll have to get the e-mail warmed up to bitch about it with the city…more later…

Well…we are under another winter storm warning from now until 7am Tuesday and that is going to suck…8-15 inches of snow with high winds is going to get me out there to shovel at least 3-4 times and I know I’ll have to shovel the alley to get out for the dentist Tuesday aft…and they haven’t plowed the street up here since the last 20 inches of snow up here so it could be a challenge but all I really need to do is get to Park street and that is just a little more than 100 yards since it’s a main bus route and they plow it…still not sore from shoveling every day and I wonder when that is going to come? I still have 3 books left so I won’t have to hit the library until Thursday or so but I’ll probably go there after the grocery run Wed…spending too much time shoveling that I can’t use to read…one good thing happened today…when I heated a bowl of soup for dinner today, I could taste it a little…yay!

Well…damn, they just issued a winter storm warning that runs til Tuesday so I may not be able to make it out of here to get to my appointment Tuesday afternoon…I don’t think I’ve seen a winter like this in a long time…up at 5:15 today and that makes it two weeks of getting up that early…it is pretty depressing to have so damn much snow and cold temps…not going to get out of the teens for a couple of weeks and I am just worn out for this extreme weather…still need to get moving in a few minutes to get the day started but I sure don’t want to right now…I’m pretty sure the coffee is not going to work today and that is going to suck…so damn tired…not much to do today…might have to run an errand this morning to get some supplies to survive the weather but I don’t want to…more later…

Well…the Manchester derby is on right now and that screws up my schedule for the whole day…and we just got going so I won’t be able to get on the bike until 9:30 or so…might make it a 1 ride day since I want to make soup this morning and after the heavy snow shoveling yesterday, I can afford to take an easy day…and I only had one meal yesterday so I’m good on calories…I guess I could do a 2nd ride after lunch but I don’t think I want to…okay, going to watch the match…more later…

Well…I really think we have the BP thing figured out since it never got out of the teens yesterday and today it’s keeping that pattern with the first reading of 111/70…and I’ll take that all day long…up at 3:05 then out of bed at 5:30 and I am going to stop bitching about that since it gets my day started and I’ll finish by 9 am or so…I do need to clean today and I’m going to work on the living room today…going to make potato soup this morning to use the potatoes that are starting to sprout…didn’t eat much yesterday so I’ll have to try to do better today…it is going to be a brutal cold for the next two weeks with highs in the teens and lows in the single figures and I wonder what my gas bill is going to be…I haven’t looked at it since I signed up for autopay 4 years ago and I wonder it I should just ignore it…it snowed another 3 inches of snow overnight and we’re supposed to get 3 more today…not as sore as I expected this morning but we’re not into the 2 day pain window yet…not much to do today…just going to do the normal stuff and make soup and then the rest of the day belongs to me…more later…

Well…as you know, one of my worries with not being able to taste food is that I’ll eat something that is spoiled and won’t know it…and it happened yesterday with a gallon of milk…I poured myself a glass to have with lunch and when I got to the bottom of the glass there were chunks in it meaning it was spoiled and I didn’t taste a bit of it…so now I’m going to have to figure out what I can do to protect myself from that…it has already snowed about 6 inches out here and we have another 4-5 hours of snow coming so we may just get to a foot of snow for the day…ick…and it’s going to snow every day for the next two weeks so we’ll be buried…and I’ll be shoveling…a lot…more later…

Well…up a little before 5 but I didn’t give up and stayed in bed til almost 5:30 but that doesn’t seem like a victory to me…sleep has been pretty illusive lately and I’m paying for it by being in a fog all the time…I’ve had these weird pains everywhere and I sure can’t figure out how I hurt myself…maybe sleeping but that’s a little strange to me…oh, well…the little bit of restoration of my sense of taste has ended and now I can’t taste anything again…and it is so bad that I drank sour milk yesterday and couldn’t tell until I saw the chunks in the bottom of the glass and that just sucks…going to have to get some cleaning done today since this place is just looking shabby and I can’t live with that…I do have 5 books to read and will start a new one today after I get the weight work and rides in…the coffee needs to work now…not much to do today…need to do laundry and I may make potato soup but that seems like a lot of work right now…more later…

Well…damn it was cold today and barely got over 20 for the high but it didn’t snow but we have a winter weather advisory on and it is going to snow every day for the next week with about 15 inches in the forecast…you know I write on my laptop a lot…so much that I have worn the N off and now the D and B are starting to go…and it just hit me to check to see if I can get some stick on letter and I can get enough of them to do the keyboard twice for less than 6 bucks…so I’m going to order some tomorrow…I did get out for books today so I don’t have to go anywhere until Tuesday…so now it’s time to watch the Chili Bowl midget races…and read…
