Well…with the idiot trump’s orders to send the military into 19 blue states to fight “crime”…it’s clear to me that this is nothing less than a military coup that only happens in banana republics and he needs to be held responsible for it…and here’s the thing…the red states governors who sent their National Guard into DC to fight “crime” all have cities that have a higher crime rate than DC…so why aren’t they sending the soldiers to their crime ridden cities? We all know the answer to that…they want to set up a military takeover of all the blue states so they can install fascism and make sure there are no more elections that they would lose…and I call on every dem to join in the resistance to this bullshit…imagine if Biden had sent the military into every red state…the repubs would have called it treason but do you hear one of them saying this is wrong? Nope…and these fascist cowards won’t say a thing…geez…

August 25th
Well…damn, running late this morning with not getting out of bed til 6:30 and it’s already 7am and I just poured the first cup of coffee so it looks like I won’t be on the bike til 8 or so…and that shouldn’t give me the guilts but it does…it’s only 57 out there right now and it may get cold enough tonight to have the heat come on…in August? The low is going to be 51 tonight and not out of the 60’s for a high today so it appears that the beach is over for the year…my knee is hurting this morning and the voltaren didn’t do much for the pain last night so I think I’ll try an ibuprofen before I get on the bike…it looks like I won’t even open this place up today so maybe my allergies won’t be as bad as they were yesterday…it was so bad that I felt like I had the flu…coughing like crazy and that continues this morning as it did overnight…man, I’m feeling old but the extra sleep helped some…I can’t remember the last time I stayed in bed til 6:30 so I guess I should enjoy that a bit…not much to do today…I do need to get off my butt and clean the bathroom and just straighten this place up some and I think I will after the rides…and I need to take the chicken out for Masala later in the week…need to get out of the rut I’m in with food but not being able to taste has taken away my motivation…oh, well…more later….
Damn, I hurt my left knee…
Well…crap, just pulling up to the garage door on the bike this morning and felt a pop in my left knee…have been hobbling around all day from it and every time I use it it gives me a little jolt and I hope I’ll be able to ride tomorrow…okay, it’s not that bad but my right knee has been the one hurting all summer and now both of them hurt…I guess I can take an ibuprofen…didn’t do anything but veg and read today and I got though an entire book and I’m going to start the last one as soon as I finish this…then I need to start weaning myself from reading so I can get other stuff done around here…it looks like swimming is done for the summer since the water is too damn cold and it’s only going to be in the 60’s until Wednesday…I can still go out there to get some sun for this last week but then the chair and towel comes out of the trunk until next summer…oh, well…back to reading…
Stupid, stupid Texas repubs…
Well…you know, Texas repubs thought they were going to cheat on redistricting and gain 5 House seats but golly gee, these geniuses didn’t really look too hard at what happened to the rest of the districts in the state…an analysis out today said yep, they are getting the 5 seats but they also created 10 new swing districts that dems will have a chance to pick up…they won’t win them all but what if they take half of them? Then all the repub cheating will have done nothing and California still is going to weigh in with their own redistricting that will wipe out any gains that the repubs got from Texas…some geniuses…not even smart enough to cheat right…geez…
August 24th
Well…I very seldom feel my age but I am this morning…allergies are so bad I feel like I have the flu and I have no energy at all…this would be a good day to take a day off but I can’t if I’m going to meet the goal of riding every day for two years straight…damn, I’m coughing so bad today that my chest hurts and I’ve had a headache for a full day now so I am going to take an ibuprofen before I get on the bike…it’s only getting into the 60’s today and it will be cool til Tuesday so no beach time until later in the week…this will probably be the last beach week I have this year and I wanted to get one more swim in but it looks like that’s not going to happen and that sucks…I did read a book and a half yesterday and that leaves me with two so I’ll be heading back to the library by Tuesday…going to have to stop reading soon to get other things done around here and that is going to suck since I really have enjoyed reading the hundred books I’ve done since the start of the year…not much to do today…no cooking since I took too much food out of the freezer so some of it may have to go back in… and with how I feel, I just don’t have the energy to do anything….more later…
I’m frickin miserable…
Well…I think my allergies are worse than the have been all year and I am frickin miserable…even took one of last two allergy pills so it looks like I’ll be taking some benadryl later…the damn trails are lined with goldenrod and ragweed and every time the wind blows through here they flare and I start coughing and my head plugs right up…if only it would rain that would really help but there is none in the forecast for the next week…crap…didn’t do a damn thing today other than the rides and reading and I’m going back to that right now…
They are not “giving” us money…
Well…I think the rest of the world is tiring of having a lying toddler as US president and they are starting to call him out on his lies…just this past week idiot boy saud the EU just gave him 600 billion dollars to do whatever he wants with it and went on to lie and crow that it was his “negotiating skills” that got that free money…but then the EU spokesman said no it’s not free money and trump is not getting a dime…the EU has agreed to invest money in American companies over the next few years but it is up to them where the money goes if it goes at all…what came out of this “deal” is just a framework for more trade talks…but this is the same thing he said about his “deal” with Japan where he said the Japanese just gave him 500 billion dollars and the Japanese trade negotiator basically came out and said that was a lie…again, the agreement was just a framework for continuing talks…and no 500 billion dollar slush fund….I think all of the sane countries need to push back on the idiot as Canada did and not let him just lie to make himself look better…pushback needs to happen across the board…geez…
August 23rd
Well…damn, that sucked…up at 3, 4, and 5 and finally out of bed before 6 and my allergies are off the chart this morning…but I knew that was coming with the trails lined with blooming goldenrod and ragweed…feel like crap today and have a sore throat and it’s going to be a lot of work just to get moving this morning…not sure what I’m going to do today but the bike rides with no energy to spare…damn, have to get on the bike in 29 minutes and that is going to be a lot of effort…I did get some yard work done yesterday but I’m not doing any today…there is a little rain shower going on right now…at least the radar is showing a shower but I’ll look outside in a minute to see for myself…it didn’t get under 70 overnight and it’s going to be only a little higher than that for a high today…I just might take some allergy meds on top of the flonase today and then just veg out on the couch for the day…just feel miserable right now and need to eat something before I get on the bike…more later….
Easy, easy day…
Well…okay, I think today was too easy and I’ll have to fix that tomorrow…only did the rides, out to the beach, to the library, and then mowed the front lawn and swept the front walks…water was still way too cold for me to swim so I was only out at the beach for an hour or so…didn’t have to cook today and I won’t have to tomorrow, either but I think I may have taken too much food out of the freezer…and I need to eat some pasta salad every day or it will spoil…I have so many freckles from getting sun this summer that my skin looks like my mother’s did whenever she got in the sun…okay, there’s a race coming on from Daytona so I’m going to watch that…
No one wants this invasion…
Well…how pathetic is the idiot trump? He bragged and bragged that he was going to “patrol” with the troops he invaded DC with all on the lie that crimes have been “skyrocketing” there…and the numbers say that’s a whopper with crime down 35%..so, why would anyone believe that he would do a patrol with the troops? Of course he didn’t…he showed up at a staging area and talked at the troops for a few minutes and then bailed…costing the country hundreds of thousands of dollars for security…and here’s the thing and why this is just a show…none of the troops were sent to areas with the highest crime rate…I mean in front of the supreme court or the WH? Not high crime areas at all and the only arrest the troops have made is when someone threw a sandwich at them…that’s it…no murder, robbery or any kind of crime has been prevented…and 79% of the people of DC just want troops gone so they can have their city back…remember that for the 26 election…it’s all on the repubs…geez…
