Well…I wonder if the new neighbors did too good a job of getting the city to plow up here? Over the past few days the truck have come around 3 times with today’s run with the big plows on the front of the trucks to push the snow piles back to the curbs…so I had to take the spade out so I could shovel the sidewalk out to the street…twice…and the latest time they threw 100 pound chunks of the snow piles that I had to lift and throw into the snowbanks….and then I had to shovel the end of the alley out…again twice…and they left behind a 3 feet deep blockage and that added to the pain that came from shoveling the 3 inches of slush with 2 inches of snow over it yesterday…my arms are just killing me and I will be taking an ibuprofen later…the slush in the alley refroze overnight so I shouldn’t have any problem getting out for the library run tomorrow…the weather was so bad yesterday that the schools were closed and the library didn’t open til noon…felt good being able to get around in that with no problem…more damn snow than I’ve seen in the years I’ve been out here…

Gaslighting America…
Well…since they are so incompetent and don’t have a clue about the economy, the idiot trump and his cronies have chosen to gaslight America trying to convince people that the staggering economy is just great and everyone should just shut up about it…price of laundry detergent doubling? Their solution is to just buy less…the same with school supplies and the idiot even went off on rant that kids don’t need “37 pencils” or “37 dolls” as if that’s why prices are rising across the board…it’s your stupid tariffs, moron…the thing is that people in the US aren’t buying what trump is selling with polls showing his performance on the economy is at 31% and there has never been a president with a lower approval rating in the history of the country…telling people that things are fine in their household economics is not going to work this time since it’s pretty clear, even for me, that high prices are taking a bite out of my budget…as I said before, the price of laundry detergent has doubled in the past two months…and that’s only one item…geez…
December 11th
Well…slept in all the way to 5:24 this morning…yeah, that’s sarcasm…feel so damn worn out this morning that all I want to do is sleep some more but I’ve started the coffee so that’s not going to happen…just feel so damn old and nothing I can do is going to change that…have one more book to read before I head to the library tomorrow but I’ll have to shovel the alley if I’m going to get out even with the new tires…but that will be after the weight work and rides…might cook the big ham on the grill today so I’ll have food for the next week but I may wait til tomorrow…didn’t eat much yesterday and I know I need to have a minimum of calories but when you can’t taste anything that makes it much harder…it’s a little after 6 and I just can’t get going and the coffee is not helping at all…oh, well…only did one ride yesterday and now I feel like a slug for not getting enough exercise…so I’ll fix that today…it didn’t snow overnight so I’ll only have to clear the alley today but that is going to be a chore after the slush froze overnight…more later…

Well…with the idiot trumps clear deterioration since he started this term, can we wish for him to just die already? He is already not doing the president’s job anyway…and when he pardoned the former president of Honduras who imported 400 tons of cocaine into the US and murdered thousands of people and was asked about it, he didn’t recognize who he is so they probably just put the pardon in front of him and told him to sign it…and he has started falling asleep everywhere that has been caught on video…but not just that, someone had to put up a big sign in the WH that says “Oval Office” so he can find it when he doesn’t have an aide with him…I just hate the media who spent all of 24 attacking Joe Biden for his aging and gaffes but then let idiot boy off when he is much worse shape that Joe was…at least people like Dan Rather and Robert Reich are going there and are chronicling the idiot’s decline…geez…
I love my new tires…
Well…after going out for groceries this morning and hitting three stores in the ice and slush, all I have to say is I love the new tires…no drama at all and the car has turned into a tank…I was even able to get it back in the garage even though there was 8 inches of snow and slush in the alley…so no stress for the rest of the winter since I now know I can get around no matter how bad the roads are…we had about 6 inches of snow here overnight and it’s still snowing and warm enough that the packed down snow is melting and we’ll get another 4 later today…need to get out and get the snow shoveled before all of the slush freezes into ice…more later…
December 10th
Well…up way too early today at 4:50 and I think I’m getting to the point that I’m going to have to take something to get more sleep…just damn worn out and the coffee needs to work soon or I’ll just melt back into the couch and take the day off…but you know I won’t…yesterday took a lot out of me getting the new snow tires and I am going to try them out this morning doing the grocery run…even going to hit DD since they have dollar December going on and have a three meat rising crust pizza for 3.99…I am just miserable right now… my allergies are really bad and I’m sneezing like crazy and I really don’t know why that would be…going to run the hepa filters today to try to help that….not much to do today…just need to get started on the weight work and bike rides before I head out for the grocery run at 8 or so…going to get a big ham and a pork shoulder so I’ll have plenty of food to eat and I’m just going to try to survive the day…need to go to the library to take 4 books back and get 4 more….more later…
Finally got the tires…
Well…finally got the snow tires on the car today and that was a relief…damn near spun it going to discount but it drives like a tank now…and the black wheels with chrome lugs look badass just like it did on the 94…they didn’t have the Falken tires I ordered so they substituted Hankook tires that cost 50 bucks a tire more than what I paid for the Falkens at the same price…coming back I ran through some 8 inch deep snow and it just drove through it like it wasn’t there…put the top down and had two summer tires on it and two in the front seat…and when I stopped the car to unload the tires on the incline up to the garage I just let the clutch out and it walked straight up it and into the garage…oh, and the kicker is that my son texted me and said my DIL’s trip has been postponed til Feb so I have this week to myself…still going to have to get to know these tires to see how they work but that will be fun to not have the car trying to kill me… and discount even washed th summer wheels for me…pretty cool…

Well…with notices going out this month about the price increases that are coming as the repubs let the ACA subsidies expire at the end of the year, most people will see their policy prices double or triple just to give the rich tax cuts that were included in the budget busting bill that the repubs rammed through with no dem support…and this goes with the increased costs from tariffs that are hitting everyone…and, since more than half of the people getting their health insurance from the ACA are repubs, they voted to bankrupt themselves just to give Jeff Bezos another two or three private jets while they won’t be able to have both food and health insurance…and I’ve talked about this before that these repub voters only care about the people they hate so they continue to melt their own faces off just to stick it to black and brown people by voting for the idiot trump…they are now going to get what they deserve and I don’t care if they starve…geez…
December 9th
Well…damn, I’m tired of being out of bed at anytime that has a 5 in it…and today it was 5:22 and that makes three days in a row and I am just worn out…and it snowed a ton last night so I’m going to have a heck of a time getting out later…the stress from all of this is wearing me out…damn, I feel old today…don’t have a lot to do today but read and shovel snow and that is getting old…I need some days where I can just take it easy and not have something hanging over me that I have to do…and that won’t end until Saturday night when I do the last move I’m ever going to do…I forgot about Man U playing yesterday and they won 4-1 over Wolves so that sucks…oh, well…need to get moving so I think I will….more later…
Too damn cold…
Well…man, it’s too damn cold for the second week of December after it got down to 2 degrees last night…so, as I was clearing a spot to store the summer wheels this morning, I decided that 2 degrees would be a good battery test so I fired the car up and it started with no problem so I let it run for 15 minutes as I shoveled the alley to get ready for getting out to get the new tires tomorrow morning…so I guess I can stop thinking about a new battery for the car since it cranked just like it always does…this has been a brutal start to the month with record snowfalls and 2 degrees tied for the coldest temp this early in December and it’s not even winter for 12 more days…ick…
