Well…the senile old asshole in the WH gave up the game yesterday in a speech to his right wing enclave of the villages in Florida when he called the affordability crisis “bullshit” and said that it was just a dem scam…man, I can see the ads being written with this clip right now and if every dem running for anything doesn’t use it, it will be political malpractice…I mean 4.50 gas is bullshit? Not being able to afford beef is bullshit? And skyrocketing costs of everything is bullshit? This out of touch asshole has caused all of it with his stupid war and tariffs and the hits will keep on coming as the price of fertilizer soars by 50% since it is made from oil…and that is going to mean that all food prices are going to soar soon and there is going to be widespread choices to be made…do we eat or do we pay our other bills? That is going to hit more than 50% of America since that many people here are living paycheck to paycheck and have less than 400 dollars in the bank…so yeah, for the rich it may be bullshit but for the rest of us is certainly isn’t…and we’re going to pay for this asshole’s stupidity…geez…

Well…you know how I love my routines and how they feel so comfortable when I know what’s going to happen in my day…that went out the window this morning when emby did a reset and none of my channels were there anymore…and that means hours and hours of resetting them to get back to the channels I watch…ick…slept okay last night but I still feel exhausted and I hope that goes away at some point…all of this channel resetting has made me late for getting my day started as you can see…cripes, it’s 7:23 and I haven’t gotten anything done…still have the weight work and bike ride to do and won’t be done with that til almost 9am and that sucks…oh, well…I did get the bathroom cleaned yesterday and should work on the kitchen today but I may not with being so late getting started…it’s going to be too cold to get outdoors on the bike today and I am trying to not be depressed that we’re not going to see 60’s at all this month…have never seen a May so cold in my lifetime and I’m not sure how to deal with it…don’t have to cook today and I really need to use the potato soup so I may just do two bowls of that today and let the chicken go a day…so, I need to get moving or the guilts are going to overwhelm me…more later…
Man, I’m exhausted…
Well…not sure what the heck is going on but I have been exhausted all afternoon…it can’t be that I made chicken stir fry and cleaned the bathroom…if I’m at the point that those small exertions take everything out of me, then just kill me and get it over with…there is no way that I can live with not being able to do anything without feeling like this…okay, on to something else…I do love my new pan…not having to pick the shedded black coating out of my food is a good thing…and the teriyaki stir fry sauce is really good…what I could taste of it anyway…and it’s so easy to just pour it out of the bottle into the pan…and it thickened up nicely as it heated… so I’ll use that again since I have another half bottle to use…but no more chicken so I’ll have to get some of that this week along with another bag of stir fry veggies…will have to look to see if I have veggies in the back of the freezer…but I won’t need to cook anything for 4-5 days so I don’t have to think of that now…I did buy 4 boxes of pasta for a buck each last week so I can do that with sauce and garlic bread…and I can do a pasta salad that I have been thinking about for a while…okay, back to reading…

Well…if you didn’t know that the repubs are just awful, all you have to do is listen to their latest talking point that extends on forcing people on Medicaid to work to get their benefits…the only thing that you have to remember is that most of the people getting Medicaid are either disabled or already working…and now, some asshole repub has said that all people getting Medicare should have to work to get the benefits that we have paid for our entire lives…don’t they understand what the word retired means? How many times do we have to listen to this crap before we never vote for another repub? I paid for my Medicare benefits and to have some entitled rich asshole repub say that now we have another hoop to jump through to get our earned Medicare just pisses me off and should do the same for anyone who is 65 and has worked their whole lives…this is what SS and Medicare are for…so that seniors do have the chance to relax and enjoy what they’ve earned after paying in hundreds of thousands of dollars to the SS/Medicare pool…if anyone votes for this bullshit, they should be made to pay by never sitting on their fat asses sucking up money that belongs to us…geez…
Everybody likes dem policies…
Well…with the defeat of Janet Mills in Maine, maybe we are seeing a return to true dem policies that she did her best to destroy…and she was the hand picked candidate of the repub lite dems like schumer who think the way to electoral success is to appeal to repub voters and be like them…but there is a new wave of dems out there who are not shy about being dems and proposing policies that will help regular people who are struggling in this billionaire dominated economy…and these policies start with taxing the rich to have the money to help people have better lives with affordable child care, affordable housing, and getting billionaire money out of elections…when these ideas are polled, ever 60% of repubs like them along with 80% of dems…so with popularity like that, why is the dem leadership still hanging on to ideas no one likes? This is one reason why people really don’t like dems…and it is for the fact that they never fight for the little guy, they never take the repubs on head on and call them out for their bullshit…so now a new generation of dems are making their voices heard and they are not scared of laying out a new vision for this country where one job will support a family, where higher education is affordable to all with no crushing debt to go along with it, with a social safety net that will relieve the threat of being one crisis away from bankruptcy, and that healthcare is a right not a profit center for the rich to get richer…this is not radical stuff…it’s how things used to be until the repubs stole the country and gave it to the rich…and it can be again just as long as the new dems get a voice and schumer and company get relegated to the dustbin of history where they belong…geez…
May 2nd
Well…up a little before 5am this morning…again…but I’m not going to bitch about that…I am going to bitch about the weather since it’s only 33 out there and we have a freeze warning on…I wonder if this is going to be the first year in history that the high never gets to 60 in May? That’s in the forecast for the next two weeks and it is so damn depressing for someone who loves it hot…looks like I’ll have plenty of time to get the bathroom cleaned today since the F1 sprint race doesn’t come on til 11…this may be a day that I’ll take off from the weights since you’re supposed to give yourself at least one rest day every week to allow your muscles to recover…okay, that’s some weird third person phrasing that I shouldn’t do…I am going to use my new semi wok to make some stir fry teriaki chicken for lunch today and that will keep me fed til next week…going to make rice with it so it should be pretty filling…still eating lots of fruit but I’m going to toast a bagel for breakfast this morning instead of an apple but I will have both an apple and an orange at some point today since I have lots of them…tomorrow will be 30 days with no cocktails and I feel pretty good so that will continue…maybe permanently…we’ll see…not much to do today…just going to drink coffee and get my body jump started right now and then on the indoor bike for a ride and that will still give me time to clean…more later…

Well…man, I have been so worn out today and really didn’t do anything to make that happen so I’m a little confused about that…didn’t do anything but go to the library and make potato soup ao I wonder if it’s fallout from doing the lawn and other work yesterday? Who knows? Have been having the inflammation in my eyes again and they have felt like they are full of sand for the past day or so and it looks like I’ll use up all of the ointment that I was hoping to take to Italy in case they got bad there…crap…so, I really need to figure out what the hell is going on…I know I didn’t eat enough yesterday with just an apple for breakfast and then the last of the pork shoulder and that is less than a thousand calories for the day…and I think I did the same thing with an apple again, then a bowl of soup and an orange…I’m just tired of thinking about that all the time…it looks like we are not going to get back into the 60’s until June and that just really sucks…I’ve never seen a spring so damn cold and we even have a freeze warning on for tonight…I just frickin give up…how the heck can you have a normal life when it’s never warm? Oh, well…back to the new book..
A day of protest…
Well…not sure if you know this or not but May 1st has been designated a “day of protest” where people are being asked to forego any economic activity in protest of the idiot trump and his destruction of this country…here in Michigan the protest centers on gas prices that have increased 70 cents a gallon this week due to the idiot’s stupid war against Iran…and the repubs are trying to gaslight the country saying that gas prices were 6 bucks a gallon under Biden when they averaged less than 3 bucks a gallon…so, I’m going to do my part and not go into any store or even buy anything online…just going to the library to pick up some more books since I ran out last night and then do household stuff…let’s make a point to the asshole repubs who have gotten us into this fix that there are more of us then them and they are going to pay this fall…geez…

Well…I guess we have a lunatic running for governor here in Michigan and I’m not happy with that…not sure if you’ve seen the ads for this moron, Perry Johnson, but they read like all of it crawled out of trump’s ass…starting with his promise to cut all income taxes and provide a tax cut of
4747 for all the people…yeah, I got that, too…how much more can you pander to the loser in the WH than to repeat his 47th presidency in your plans…now I’m not sure how this idiot will fund Michigan’s government with no tax revenue but he goes on and on with the old saw of “cutting waste” I guess just like doge did on the federal side that was shown to have COST money instead of saving it…but this delusional asshole goes on saying what ever damn repub has harped on for years that most government is “waste” and then cuts all the programs that help regular citizens…oh, and this idiot goes on to say that he supports ICE 100% and will give them all the cooperation they need to terrorize Michigan just like they did in Minnesota…something that no one in Michigan wants…I really do hope this delusional moron gets the repub nomination…it would be so easy to show people the modern face of the repub party in this distilled trump disciple…geez…
May 1st
Well…damn, it’s May 1st and we are under a frost/freeze warning for the next two days and there are no 60’s in the forecast until the middle of the month…yeah, there is no spring here this year and that just sucks…I’m glad I didn’t do a garden again this year or I would be all stressed out trying to keep the plants alive…we’re staying in the 40’s until Sunday and then we streak up to a high of 52…yeah, that’s sarcasm…pretty sore from mowing the lawn yesterday and I had to put heat on my legs to keep from taking ibuprofen last night…I was just out of synch yesterday and everything felt odd and I don’t know what that is about and I hope it doesn’t happen again today…I do have to cook today and will be making potato soup for lunch and then the chicken stir fry tomorrow so I’ll have food for a few days and won’t have to think about it…trying a new sauce for the chicken instead of the envelopes I have been using…it’s a teryaki sauce I got from aldis for less than two bucks and will do two batches…it will be an easy one today with just the indoor stuff and then a run to the library…I do need to clean the bathroom and the kitchen floor and might get to that…more later…
