Well…sitting here waiting for the Fedex guy to come and thought I’d do a little comment on an article I read this morning by Phil Plait over at Bad Astronomy. There was a little noticed announcement last week by Elon Musk and Space X that they are going to try to land one of their Dragon V2 capsules on Mars by 2018…yep…when everyone else says they can’t get there until 2025 at the earliest, Space X is going to try it in two years…unmanned, of course, since the Falcon Heavy that they are going to use to launch it has not been tested yet and the Dragon V2 has not been flown either…but, I find it just so cool that private industry is going to do what NASA can’t…and beat them to Mars by 7 years. I know there have been many successful Mars probes sent by NASA and I applaud their work…work that continues to amaze me…but, to fly the hardware that is going to be used to send people to Mars in that short a time frame goes up the scale to really cool. Oh, and one more thing with the Falcon Heavy, which is essentially three Falcon 9’s strapped together….when they test launch the Heavy later in the year, Space X is going to try to land all three boosters; two on land and one on the autonomous barge where they landed the last Falcon 9….that is going to be so cool and I had hoped they would try something like that…Space X is putting excitement back into space and even this old guy is pretty geeked….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a bunch of stuff done so that was cool….worked from 8 til 3 and I am a little sore from it…but I even got the bike ride in in the aft and don’t feel bad about skipping working out…will do that this morning….have been having some cramps in my calves and big toes out on the bike and I’m not sure what that is about….the toes still hurt now and I hope the traveling tendonitus is not settling there this year….for the second night in a row, I’ve had some dreams but again, I don’t remember them and that is frustrating since that would give me more to write about here…and lately, I’ve needed the help….not much to do today…have to hang around here to wait for the new exhaust to come that I am having installed tomorrow morning…will be nice to get my car back and be able to drive it like it likes….I do have to clean here but the trash bin is full so I will have to wait til they come to empty it before I can get started…more later…

Well…I wonder what must it be like to be inside ole ted Cruz’s head today…when it is looking more and more like he will lose the nomination to the Donald tomorrow…and ole Ted was just sure that he was going to be president and that he was by far the best person for it….this is going to be a massive case of cognitive dissonance and it is going to be fun to watch him try to accept that no one wanted him other than the other religious nuts out there. Now poor Teddy is going to have to go back to the senate that is going to be controlled by the dems and try to stuff his huge ego back inside that small, small building….I, for one, am going to revel in seeing his certainty shattered and see him walk off the national stage…good riddance, Teddy….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get anything done….didn’t even get a bike ride in since I had the front tire fail on the way out and didn’t want to chance it splitting and dumping me on the trail…slept okay and had some dreams that I don’t remember so they couldn’t have been very good…not sure why but I feel pretty crappy this morning and am having a hard time getting going…and I have stuff to do today so that is a problem….so I guess I’ll just sit here for a while and hope it gets better…I did eat enough yesterday…I think…so that is not it….hmmmm…not much to do today…need to get some work done around here and then run some errands but that is about it….more later…
May 1st
Well….it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done….slept okay but wasn’t good so I feel it today….almost didn’t make the goal for the month since I forgot that April only has 30 days in it…I was a little surprised to see 5/1 come up on the phone this morning…forgot to eat dinner last night so that is part of not feeling so great today and I need to do something about that….I wonder when we are going to get to spring? It is cold and rainy again this morning and I’m not sure if I want to brave it for a bike ride today…just can’t get motivated and the coffee is not helping…not much to do today….I should clean but I’m not sure if I will and I need to finish off all of the leftovers so I can cook again tomorrow…more later…

Well…here I go again…have just seen another band that uses the Hammond B-3 organ as part of their instrumentation…and this one is a little funny…it’s the Tedeschi/Trucks band made up of Butch Trucks nephew and Susan Tedeschi…..she used to come here and play Blues on the Mall…and Derek played with the Allman brothers….oh, it’s on the New Orleans Jazz festival on AXS…

Well…yeah, I know it looks like I’m just trying to make sure I make the goal for the month but this little article I just read made me laugh out loud…as you know, John Boehner made the comment the he thinks the Ted Cruz is Lucifer embodied…and now, in a predictable reaction, a few of the satanist organizations in the US are taking offense with that comparison, saying that comparing Satan to Ted Cruz or saying that he is Lucifer disparages Satan and they won’t stand for it and want an apology…yeah, I know, this whole complaint is pretty tongue in cheek but I still think it’s pretty funny….not sure if there is a more hated person in the US….even more than Satan…yow….

Well…I know I’ve written about North Carolina an their stupid bill that allows discrimination against the LGBT community…that’s stupid enough that they passed this thing, but with the financial fallout reaching almost a hundred million dollars and counting, you would think that the idiot legislators there would have some feeling for the people who are losing their jobs just so the extremists there can hate…but you would be wrong to think that…just the other day, one of the chief haters responsible for the legislation just blew at the question of job and financial losses, just saying that he basically didn’t give a damn if “liberal” companies left the state and that tourists stopped coming…completing that thought with the real reason for the bill…to keep NC “straight” not to protect women as they lied the reason for it was…typical repub asshollery….they don’t care about anyone’s job but their own….I don’t like it when people lose their jobs but they elected these clowns…maybe now they will think about who they vote for…geez…
April 30th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool….made a little cash, too, so there will be groceries again this week…it was a long day with pool and then errands after and I am feeling it today…not too badly but a little slow…haven’t been on the bike in three days and I will need to get out today…it is too cold right now but there is no wind so I am itching to get out…going to rain this aft so it will have to happen this morning….oh, just checked and this is my 4,500th post here since I started this thing many years ago…that is a hell of a lot of writing and I’m not sure if I’ve learned anything from it or even gotten better as time has gone on…I’ll have to look back to the start to see the progression…might be something to do on a rainy day…not much to do today…have a bunch of stuff to do around here today along with cleaning so that will probably be about it….more later…

Well….it was an okay day yesterday and the only thing I got done was the exhaust…but that saga was in another post so I won’t go into that here….did go out to meet G and had many more than a few to celebrate her getting an offer for a new job…and with cocktails here after that, it is going to be a challenging morning….and I forgot to eat dinner so that is going to compound it…oh, well….felt like crap when I got up but the coffee is helping…got a care package on my door this morning from Brian so I have more fish and and venison to eat…might thaw some and have it for lunch….or maybe take some to Tom…not sure yet…not much to do today…pool, of course, but that is about it…I wonder how loud the car will be when I put the top down later?….more later…
