Well…up at 5:15 again today but I slept through the night so it’s a little different…still feel pretty crappy but I’ll get moving soon and get on the weight work by 6am…want to get the rides in before the grocery run so I don’t have anything to do for the rest of the day…my BP is really down this morning to 117 and I’m curious to see if the change in meds works…going to pick up the new meds at Meijers this morning but I am going to use up the old ones by doubling it up…it’s nice that I can have coffee today and I have a new pot that just brewed…it’s only 23 out there right now and it’s going to be cold for a while but I hope it doesn’t snow too much…it is nice that I don’t have to worry about getting around anymore…I did get a call from the dermatologist and have an appointment for late January to have the lesion taken off my face…my fair skin is cancer prone and I have to stay on top of it…not much to do today…going to pick up a pork shoulder to cook in the instant pot and I really look forward to doing it later in the week…more later…
Reynaud’s is hereditary
Well…after I got the diagnosis of having Reynaud’s syndrome today…I told my daughter about it and she revealed that she has it too…so then I went out to research it and found that it is hereditary…so she got it from me…not that I feel bad about that because who controls the things they pass on to their children? At least it’s just annoying and not life threatening and the funny thing is it’ pretty wide spread since the NP I saw for my appointment also has it…and mild cases like mine are nothing to worry about…I guess you can earn something every day…it is so nice to get back to my normal routine and I think I’ll watch a movie tonight and have a cocktail…going to try a benadryl to sleep tonight since I have a bottle of 600 of them in the drawer and I haven’t really slept in week…
Ignore the supreme court…
Well…with all of the ruling that the supreme court has done that favors the people who are bribing them and gives repubs everything they want, the time has come for the states to start ignoring their rulings until we take the house and senate back and reform the court…this has come from the right wing justices who have no ethics and who don’t feel the need to follow the law or precedent; just making it up to get the results they want that will favor their biases… there has never been such a corrupt court in the history of this country and three of the justices really should be in jail for taking bribes and then ruling for the people who bribed them…the senate has the power to investigate and set rules that the court has to follow…and that should happen first thing we take the senate back…we can’t afford to have the oozing corruption continue to poison this country…geez…
Healthy…
Well…just got back from the doctor’s office and I made it quite easily even with the atrocious conditions out there…it rained until about 7am and then the temp dropped and the snow and wind has been howling since…6 inches of snow in the alley and the car just chugged right through it without spinning a wheel…pretty cool…so I’m sitting here with a clean bill of health except for my BP and they are adjusting the meds to try to help that…just a little too high still…I did find out I have Reynaud’s disease that causes my fingers to turn white when they are cold but unless I have huge pain, you just ignore it and massage it to get the color back…oh, well…having my first cup of coffee and it feels good to have nowhere else to go til tomorrow when I’m doing the grocery run and hitting the library…more later…
December 29th
Well…damn it’s weird no having coffee when I get up…and I’m skipping it until after my doctors appointment…the wind is howling out here but we didn’t have as much snow as forecast so there should be no problem get to the appointment at 9am…the problem is going to be what I hear in the appointment…more health problems I’m sure…crap…it rained all day yesterday so it will probably still have ice under the snow so I’ll have to watch for that…my BP is already over 140 so it will probably be 150 in the office…didn’t sleep at all last night with going to bed at 10:30, up at 1:40, up at 2:34, up at 3 14, then out of bed at 5:20…feel pretty worn out today but the only thing I have to do is the appointment and I can bolster myself with coffee after I get back here…did a NCN last night and feel pretty good today and I’m going to get the weight work and one ride in before I go…so that needs to happen by 6am…if I get started soon, I may be able to get two rides in before I go….more later…
Winter storm warning…
Well…it seems like ever damn time I have to be somewhere, there is a winter storm warning in the forecast…you know I have my yearly checkup tomorrow morning at 9am and the warning starts at 1am and goes to 1pm Monday…4-8 inches of snow, wind 25-35 with gusts to 60…so I’ll be plowing snow with the front bumper of the car…going to be a good test for the new winter tires and I’m glad the 4 inches of ice that is on the streets is melting today in the rain…but the rain is going to lay down a nice new layer of ice under the snow…worst case for getting anywhere but there is nothing I can do about it…
December 28th
Well…up at 5:14 this morning and I am so tired of this damn time…what is wrong with 6:14 or 7:14? Or 8:14 for that matter…feel like crap today after only having one meal yesterday but I’m going to do that again today…I guess I never learn…need to get moving soon to get everything done before 9am…why, I’m not sure…up and down all night last night and drinking so much water to try to stave off dehydration…my fingers looked like I’d been swimming for hours but they are better today…it is kind of nice that I don’t have to cook for the next week or so after making the big meal yesterday…I am going to have a bagel here in a minute before I get on the weights and I really need more coffee before I do anything…really should clean some today but I need a day off that I will never take and that sucks…going to read a lot today so I can go to the library and get more books in a day or so…the weather is going to get ugly for the next week with a couple of days that the highs will be in the teens…that sounds like hibernation time to me….more later…
Made 11% on my house this year…
Well…just got a text from my realtor brother and house prices in Muskegon went up by 11% this year and it’s the hottest market in the country right now…so that means I made almost 14,000 bucks on my house and that’s pretty cool…it could end up being worth close to 200K by the time I check out and that will leave 50K for each of my kids before I include the cash and investments…I could be worth a quarter of a million bucks by the time I go and that is a big step from being broke 8 years ago…it looks like the winter tires will get a real test Monday since they just issued a winter storm warning for then and we are supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow…ick…just have to go out to the doctor appointment and then I’m in til after the new year…do I feel rich now? Not really but 14 grand is nothing to sneeze at…
Chinese markets are gone permanently..
Well…just read an interesting article about the investments that China is making in port facilities across South America and we can see that the idiot trump has killed our agriculture sector by his stupid tariffs…they already don’t buy any grains or soybeans from the US, but now they are expanding into buying minerals to be shipped from these upgraded ports…so idiot boy did something that even the stupidist “America firster” couldn’t do…he shut the US off from the 2nd largest economy in the world…and guess who is going to pay for that? Yep, the American taxpayer and the first payout to farmers of over 20 billion dollars has already started…so now we pay higher prices due to his stupid tariffs and we pay direct payments to the people damaged by the tariffs…I wonder if this was his plan al along since everything else he does is just part of the grift economy he’s running…and all of the farmers voted for trump and are now getting their reward…geez
December 27th
Well…anytime I’m up at a time that starts before 6 just frickin sucks…and today it was 5:15 again and I am worn out…at least I don’t have a lot to do today other than this and the normal stuff…need to get the weight work done before 7 so I can get two rides in before 9 and then get started on the big meal…I guess the winter tires are going to get a workout Monday since we are supposed to get 4 inches of snow and I have to be at my doctor’s office at 9am…oh, well…didn’t get anything done yesterday but errands but today looks better since I don’t have to go anywhere…don’t have a clue why I’m so sore this morning but it is probably from being on my feet so much yesterday…I am really tired of health issues and I know I’m going to get bitched at Monday for some damn reason…BP too high, cholesterol too high…at least they can’t call me obese anymore…don’t want any more tests or procedures…just want to live…more later…
