Well…I finally got back on schedule with getting three rides in before 10 am today, then an errand to try to find some 100 sunscreen that I did but damn, 11 bucks for spray on banana boat that will probably only last a couple of weeks…oh, well…then back here and now I’m making potato soup with the 3 pounds of potatoes I got for a buck last week and picked up another bag today…yeah, pretty stupid to be heating up the kitchen when it’s over 80 degrees but I did need to use the celery up, too…I think I have a little over a buck into the entire batch even with 5 tablespoons of butter in it…and it will last me 5 or 6 days…even have the weight work done and now I’m watching the men’s team gymnastics at the Olympics and it is so much fun watching the US team try to get a medal…so now I’m going to finish the soup after the final American goes on the pommel horse…go USA!
SC reform…
Well…with the moist corrupt supreme court in history shredding the constitution almost ever damn day, I was pleasantly surprised that Joe announced his plan for reform of the SC that Kamala is completely behind…first, they want to pass a constitutional amendment to would eliminate immunity for crimes a president commits while in office…term limits for justices on the SC of 18years with new appointments every two years…and a binding code of conduct for the supreme court that will bring them in line with every other federal judge…this is a good start and is supported by 70% of the American people…and Alito and Thomas have one but themselves to blame for their corruption being reigned in…just like every other repub, these asses think the law and rules don’t apply to repubs but they are going to find out that it does…maybe they will retire to avoid the rules and continue to grift? Hope so…geez…
July 29th
Well…I’m just getting old….only did 25 miles yesterday and I feel like I did 100 and I am looking forward to getting to the goal and then taking it easy for a day…have 28 minutes before I need to get on the bike and I am going to pour the coffee down fast so I can get on the bike as soon as it’s light…I was out watering the flowers and garden for 15 minutes yesterday and I got sunburned from it with not having any sunscreen on…feel like I did an hour on the beach and that sucks…I am going out this morning to try to get some 70-100 sunscreen and I’ll have to put 50 on to put the top down on the car…weird…didn’t get much done yesterday but I do need to cook today…some potato soup is on the agenda and grilling some chicken and pork…I am laughing that the weather widget on the screen says rain coming…it hasn’t rained here in three weeks and it’s not going to rain today…it just doesn’t happen here…have a new set of people that moved into the rental across the street and they seem pretty quiet so that’s cool…man, it’s humid here right now and I am sweating just sitting here today…going to be a hot one today with it already 74 at 6:25 and getting toward the mid 80’s this aft…made my own taco seasoning yesterday and I like it better than old el paso so I’ll keep doing that for chicken tacos…not much to do today…just the rides and running out to Meijers for sunscreen and some cheap food…another 3 pounds of potatoes for a buck along with some pork loin fillets again that will go on the grill…more later…

Well…just read an article that made me think about what is different about Kamala’s campaign versus the repub idiot…it’s happy…she laughs and smiles a lot while idiot boy hates and scowls…and she isn’t an old white guy…and with the idiot, it’s all doom and gloom…no hope, no helping the normal Americans, and no policy to speak of other than tax cuts for the rich…and with the 2025 project, the repubs have told all of us who they are going to hurt…have friends who are gay and are married? That goes away if idiot boy is elected…You want women to have equal rights? Even here in Michigan where we voted into our constitution, that goes away…you get my drift? People are excited to have Kamala in the race and she is excited to have us behind her…and I can read the news again without doom scrolling…and that is good for my mood…geez…

Well…sitting here at 11:23 and I am done for the day and that is just weird…Olympics is on and I have the laundry started…I was going to go out and get some 100 sunscreen but I really don’t like to go to Meijers on the weekend so that will wait til tomorrow…they have potatoes on sale again for 3 lbs for a buck along with the bacon wrapped pork loin for a buck, too, so I’ll get a few more of those and I’ll grill some more thighs to make burritos at the same time…I do need to make potato soup in the next couple of days or maybe even today…we’ll see…only did 25 miles on the bike today since I need a semi rest day to heal up a bit and I know I’ll hit my goals for the year so I can afford it…I do need to clean a bit but I’m not sure what yet…or I may just watch the Olympics…great women’s archery match right now…

Well…I know that political campaigns run on money but there is another little fact about the Harris campaign that is making me smile a bit today…they have raised over 200 million dollars in one week which is breathtaking, but that addition of 170,000 volunteers to do the grunt work of knocking on doors and getting the word out on Kamala could be even more important…and the repubs can’t match that enthusiasm at all…I think this is becoming a movement that has so much upside while the idiot trump is going nowhere…the repubs do have a ceiling of about 47% that they have done in the past two elections and Kamala is well past that right now…am I getting cocky? Nope, I haven’t seen politics like this in a while but I know that there are some tough times coming…but one thing I know is that we control this election if we just go out and vote…so please do that…

Well…damn, I need to get on the bike in 9 minutes and I sure don’t want to…I am so worn out this morning that I can barely get moving and I just started the first cup of coffee…need to get two rides in before the F1 race at 9 and I don’t think that is going to happen…okay, it has to so I need to gt moving…had an okay day yesterday and gave myself a haircut with a number one instead of a number two comb and I think I like it shorter…it looks like no wind out there this morning and that will be welcome with the wind always blowing out here…I am going to go out and get some 100 spf sunscreen today since I got scorched with the 50 yesterday…or I’ll just wear long sleeves for all of the rides…okay, this is going to be another split day since I need to get going….

Well…yep, I do need 100 spf sunscreen…went out today with just the 50 on at 11am for the third ride and my arms are scorched…my neck even feels like it too so I’m going to run out to Meijers in the morning to see if they have any 100…if not I’ll have to order it from amazon along with the parts for the black bike…I did get the earplugs I ordered and I like them but won’t have to use them for a while since the lawn stopped growing with the 16 days of no rain…so another year of losing the lawn and that is a pain…went a little too low on calories yesterday and was so dizzy that I could barely get off the couch this morning…and I may have done that again today and I really do need to take that seriously with all of the riding I do…I did get over 5,700 miles so I’m down to only 400 more miles to break my record and then another 1,000 to grind out to get to the 7,100 goal…I had thought of another goal that made sense but I forgot what that was so I’ll have to think about it for a bit…but right now I need to try to find something to watch for tonight since Svengoolie has a movie on that I’ve seen lots of times….so I think I’ll do that right now…

Well…I think this one is going to bounce around a bit since I have a couple of things I want to talk about…the first is the speech the idiot trump gave to a group of right wing “christians” where he said all they have to do is just vote for him one more time and it will be taken care of…meaning that it will be the last election in this country if he is elected…so we need to make sure that doesn’t happen…and right now, the prospects of Kamala driving the final nail in his coffin is growing by the day…I cannot believe the enthusiasm I’m seeing from damn near everyone on the left…150,000 new voter signups of with more than 80% of that being young people…and young people vote for our side…and the money raised? Damn near 400 million dollars since Sunday and it just keep rolling in…do I dare to say that this could be a landslide for our side? At this point it may be wishful thinking but the signs are there and getting better by the hour…I mean 20,000 dollars a minute coming in? I can’t wait until the orange loser is out of our lives…and let’s remember he is still being sentenced for his 34 felony convictions and has other trials pending…so maybe things are looking up…at least I feel better about the election and the doom is just about gone…geez…
July 27th
Well…crap…having computer problems this morning and I should be on the bike right now but I just can’t get going…the power went out with a huge bang last night but I think a transformer just tripped since it only took an hour to get it back on…slept okay last night but I don’t feel good at all…just so damn worn out and my tv stream is still out of synch and my son is not going to do anything about it and that pisses me off…two days now and I’m missing the olympics and the race from Spa…okay, this is going to be a short one since I am not feeling it right now…I’ll be back later to complete this one but I need to get on the bike right now…more later…okay, I’m back after getting two rides in and I am going to test how bad the sunburn from the antibiotics is going to be this morning when I go out for ride three after F1 qualifying…will probably go downtown to see the Budweiser Clydesdales this afternoon but I need to find out when they will be here…still in a lot of pain in my back/neck and I wonder how long I’ll let if go before I call my doctor and have it checked out? I’m used to pain so I’ll probably just deal with it…not much to do today…I should make potato soup today or tomorrow before the celery goes bad and to use up some of the buck potatoes I got this week….more later…
