Well…damn, I may be getting stupid in my old age…after sitting here waiting for the temp to come up enough to get on the outdoor bike, I finally got out after noon but I shouldn’t have…the wind was blowing 25mph with gusts to 35 and I was going straight into it all the way out to the beach and was stopped a few times by the gusts…during the first one, something popped in my left thigh and then it hurt the rest of the way out and back…and I pulled something in my back and hurt my right hip from the high exertion so I am not going out again…could barely get off the bike when I got back and had to just stand there to let the pain in my hip lessen enough to take a step…getting old is enough of a pain without doing stupid stuff to make it worse…cripes…I did get an indoor ride before mowing the lawn so I guess that’s enough for the day…this day took a lot out of me…so I’m going to just sit here and watch some races..
Another 100 million bucks…
Well…it was a pretty shitty week for the orange idiot and it just got worse yesterday…it seems idiot boy double dipped and claimed the same business tax breaks twice on his ugly, underperforming building in Chicago and the IRS audit says that he is on the hook for at least another 100 million dollars that he cheated the US government out of…and that is before interest and penalties…he claimed that the building is now “worthless” and took tax write off of almost a billion dollars on the building that cost less than half of that…so of course he is cheating on his taxes as he has his entire life and how he has cheated at everything he has ever done…he couldn’t even make a profit in casinos and money laundering…what a frickin loser…geez…
May 11th
Well…damn, I’m disappointed…after seeing all of the photos of the aurora from last night, I’m depressed that I couldn’t see any here and I stayed up til 11 to try…oh, well…just poured the first cup of coffee and it appears that I won’t be riding outdoors until later with the wind blowing like crazy…so I guess I’ll need to adjust my schedule for the day and mow the lawn after the indoor ride…it’s only 50 here right now so it’s too damn cold to go out on the bike anyway…the heat has been on all night and that is just not right for the middle of May…at least the garden is doing better than last year and I’m thinking of using liquid food in the water this year to not burn the plants like I did last year…still have leftovers from growing other plants that I can start with and see how it works….still pretty sore today and I think part of it is bending over to weed the garden for over an hour yesterday…but that is done for a while and I can take it a bit easier today…don’t even have to cook today with soup and fish leftovers to have but I will need to plan for meals starting tomorrow…I sure hope today is not another day that gets away from me…it’s just damn tiring being so busy all the time but today looks like it’s going to be a chore with all that I have to do…and I need to start it right now so I’ll gulp the coffee and get to it….man, I’m tired…more later…

Well…I’m sitting here laughing about the absurdity that my life has devolved into…like a broken record, I had another busy day today with the indoor ride, then a run out to aldis, then two outdoor rides that I finished up around noon…put a load of laundry in and then went out to plant the chili pepper seeds that had sprouted in the paper towel…and planted the last cup of tiny tomato plants that I really don’t need but I sure wasn’t going to just dump them…should have about 10 chili pepper plants if they live and not is not certain at all…I did do the first weeding in the garden and it appears that everything has come up including the leeks that I have no clue what I am going to use them in…the lettuce and broccoli are doing well so far as are the beans that I have 20 plants up and growing…and planted 8 more today just for the heck of it…the cukes and carrots are iffy and it may be the second year in a row of no home made pickles and that sucks…so, another busy day…it’s been raining quite a bit out here so my lawn needs to be mowed almost twice a week and that will be done tomorrow…it’s still clear out here right now so I have my fingers crossed for the aurora tonight…the line of possibility is all the way down to the Indiana border so at least there’s a chance…going to look anyway…oh, and I made potato soup and just finished that up at around 4 or so…so running from 7 until 4 today…not supposed to be working 9 hours a day…I’m retired after all…
It’s about time…
Well…finally…Ukraine has started to hit target inside of Russia and now the Russian people are going to start to know what their war criminal leader is doing to Ukraine…will it matter? Probably not because almost 70% of the Russian people support the illegal war…but when the oil stops flowing there will be questions about what Ukraine is attempting to do over the past couple of weeks by attacking oil refineries as far as 1000 miles inside of Russia…they have hit at least 6 of them in that time and I really hope they keep it up…and with the tranches of new artillery shells, F-16’s, and a home grown drone industry just getting started, the edge that Russia has had with the traitorous repubs delaying aid to Ukraine for months is going to quickly go away and is already being felt at the front lines where Ukrainian soldiers are rejoicing for being able to respond to the Russian shelling…I will be interested to see the battlefield change over the next few months and I hope they can drive Russia back and retake the repubs gift of land to it…geez…
May 10th
Well…out of bed about 6:30 this morning an that leaves me running late to get on the indoor bike by 7:30…but it is only 45 outdoors right now so I will need to wait to ride out there today….still pretty sore right now but there is no reason for it other than riding the bike…I am really hoping that it stays clear tonight to see the northern lights that are supposed to be visible all the way south to Alabama tonight…there were 6 CME’s in a row yesterday from a sunspot complex that never happens so I’ll be out looking up tonight…didn’t get anything done yesterday but I will be making potato soup with bacon today and doing some cleaning and laundry…not sure why I just can’t take a day off to enjoy but I’m not going to agonize about it…I do need to plant the chili pepper seeds that have sprouted in the paper towel and I really hope some of them survive…I need to replenish my pepper supply in the freezer…crap, it looks like it’s going to be cloudy tonight so no northern lights for me…oh, well…not much to do today…it’s sunny right now but the temp is not coming up til around 10 so that is going to make me late for getting the outdoor rides in but the wind is going to be almost calm and I am looking forward to that….damn, 15 minutes til the indoor bike…need more coffee…more later…
A good day…
Well…had a pretty good day today but didn’t anything done and I’m okay with that with how busy I was yesterday…the weed killer has already started to work and I think I have the settings on the sprayer figured out and the bottle of killer I bought covered the entire lawn and left me about half a gallon mixed up in the hand sprayer to kill off ones I may have missed…I do have some of the chili peppers sprouted out back and in the paper towel so I’ll need to plant those tomorrow…I think I may have my schedule figured out with doing one indoor ride as soon as I get up and then two outdoor rides right after to have them all done by 11am…and that leaves me the rest of the day to cook, clean, and read and still get 33 miles in for the day…and that gives me 100 miles every three days and that pace should be enough to hit the goals for the year…didn’t make soup today with my brother coming over to have me help with his car antenna again but the part didn’t fit…again…oh, well…I did watch the new “Ghostbusters” movie last night and it was okay…stayed interested but there was no Rick Moranis in it and there should have been….

Well…folks, can we remember what a joke the idiot trump’s “infrastructure week” was during his term? You know, the one where he promised millions of jobs to rebuild road, bridges, airports, schools, and everything else in this country and never delivered on any of it? There is something wrong with this country when voters consider that Joe Biden and the idiot are equal on actually getting things done on infrastructure and independents even rate idiot boy higher even though he did absolutely nothing…and that nothing was highlighted just this week in Wisconsin when Joe went to Racine to tout the new multi billion dollar investment from Microsoft that is going in where idiot boy bragged Foxconn was going to build multiple factories that never happened..and that’s the thing here…people give idiot boy credit for just lying about infrastructure and give Joe no credit when his policies have already spurred almost a trillion dollars in investment and have created actual, real jobs in the millions…I know there is time before the election to turn the polling around but Joe and his group need to get on it and make sure people know how much they’ve done and what they will do if re-elected..there is no comparison here..get on it guys…geez…
May 9th
Well…didn’t run the hepa filters last night and I am feeling it this morning with my eyes itchy and full of crap…and I just generally feel lousy and worn out like maybe I’m getting old or something….the day was okay yesterday until the assholes started up again to the south of me…I sure hope the cops clued them in this time…I was so damn sore last night that I had the heating pad on everything and I still feel it today…need to figure out how to get back into a sustainable routine where I don’t struggle to just survive the day…but that probably won’t be today since I need to get on the indoor bike here in 50 minutes or so…and that right there is a symptom of what is wrong with me…I’m retired and yet the schedule is still driving me to accomplish things when I could just sit here and enjoy the stillness…I do need to cook today since I thawed some catfish nuggets that need to go in the air fryer along with making some potato soup so I’ll need to carve out time for that…the radar says it’s raining out there but I just looked and it’s dry so I can get on the bike just as soon as I do an indoor ride…maybe that can be my routine…one indoor ride to start the day and then two outdoor rides and be done before noon? I just realized that I’m going to make fish and chips with the catfish today and I’m looking forward to that…not much else to do other than clean a bit…more later…
Another busy day…
Well…man, it’s been busy today with getting the first ride in indoors, then doing the grocery runs, back on the bike for two outdoor rides, and the yard work that included weedkiller for the lawn and planting a few more veggie plants…and I had to repair a downspout that came loose…and the assholes were out at the rental again today and the last straw was a steady stream of them walking behind the rental to pee when I was working on the garden…so I called the cops and three of them came out to talk to me about it and then they went over to talk to the asshole who rents the house…and I hope they let him know what the heck the law is so I don’t have to keep calling…pissed me right off…and I’m still pissed…grrrrr…oh, I did get some food today from DD…12 oz package of ground chuck for 2 bucks and some roasted turkey for 99 cents a package…and a 3lb bag of yellow potatoes at Meijers for a buck along with a 3 lb bag yellow onions for a buck, too…so I really need to make more potato soup tomorrow…
