Well…damn, I forgot to set up the coffee maker yesterday so now I’m waiting for coffee and I don’t like it one bit…and it looks like another wait day to get on the bike since it’s only 49 out there and I need it to be 52 or more…woke up at 4 today but didn’t give up and stayed in bed til a little after 6…man, I’m worn out today with only one meal for two days in a row and my damn gout is flaring up for some reason…thought I’d had enough water with drinking all day but I have to do better after the coffee that is brewing….it’s a big race day today with Indy qualifying and the truck race from North Wilkes so I need to get the rides in as soon as the weather allows…didn’t get much done yesterday but I do need to feed the garden today and try to keep it alive…the garden annex at the rear corner of the house has started to sprout and I have cukes, parsley, and lettuce up so far…not sure if the chives and beans will sprout but I’ll take whatever I can get with the garden trouble this year….not much to do today…just need to get the rides in and the garden work but I think it will be an easy day…more later…

Well…I really hate getting late starts to my day…the rain came in overnight and continued this morning so I couldn’t get out on the bike until 11:30 and I didn’t get done til after two and that is just too late…and then I had to hose the bike off since it was covered in grit and sand and the shifters start to hang up with all of that stuff in them…and that is just too darn annoying…and I’m having problems getting the seat set right and I’m not sure if it’s the foam getting old or not…it’s the seat from the old black bike since the new one started to come apart at the seams and I haven’t repaired it yet…tomorrow is going to be strange with runners on the trail out by the beach for the “adventure” run that is set up in the park and on the beach and I may have to just skip that part or wait til after noon to go out and that isn’t going to happen…wow, watching Indy practice and these guys are going into the turns at over 240 miles an hour…and averaging 233…that is ridiculous fast…okay, going out to adjust the bike…

Well…up at 6:07 this morning and I think I slept okay but don’t remember any dreams so that means it was a little light…going to have to sit here for a while today with the rain that is coming in but I may go down and ride indoors for the first one and then go out later for an outdoor one…but I just poured the first cup of coffee and that is going to have to work before I do anything…didn’t do a lot yesterday but the rides and I’m going to take a bit easy today…my left leg was howling in pain last night with that Achilles problem I’ve been having along with some calf cramps so I laid the heating pad out and stretched my leg out over it…I think it may have helped some but the stiffness is still there and I wonder if it just needs some rest…I hope it rains a lot since my lawn is drying out and will be going dormant without it….not going to water it at all this year and, with the dry conditions for the next week, it is going to be tough on it…the little weather widget on my bottom banner says heavy rain soon so I’ll keep my fingers crossed…not much to do today…I do need to figure out what to cook for lunch today and I may make the pizza I have in the freezer but I have some sausage thawed that should be used….maybe on the pizza…we’ll see…more later…

Well…finally, a day that I didn’t work too hard and I needed it…got the rides in but had to wait for it warm up around 10 to get out and it was still only 50 when I went…had to charge the mp-3 play back up to have it last through the second ride so I sat here and waited 15 minutes before going back out…got that done a little after noon and made lunch…and I think my taste is getting better since I could tell that lunch was marinated chicken thigh and I could tell that I had ketchup for the tots…made toast in the morning and I could taste the bread and peanut butter some…so I’m going to keep my fingers crossed it keeps coming back…it was really nice to taste again and I didn’t know I missed it so much…had to do the monthly maintenance on the bike when I got back from the second ride and then take care of the garden….but, I had everything done by 2 so that wasn’t bad…but, ,my left Achilles is howling right now and I have no clue why…both of them have been painful and I wonder if I just need some rest for them…might get that tomorrow with rain forecast most of the day….fingers crossed…

Well…up at 5:53 this morning but I think I woke up at least once around 4 or so…probably should consider that a good night since I don’t feel too bad right now…I sure hope I’ve figured out why I’ve lost my sense of taste and it comes back soon…eating without flavor is just not worth it….I can kind of taste the coffee today so there is some hope….it is damn cold out there and the heat is running near the end of May and that is wrong…got down to 40 degrees last night and I guess I should be happy we didn’t get the freeze that they got in the thumb area…not really giving up on the garden but there won’t be any tomatoes this year and that is disappointing since one of the great enjoyments is slicing up a fresh tomato just off the vine and having it with just salt and pepper…things change I guess….don’t have a lot to do today unless I want to tackle the kitchen and I might….but right now all I want to do is sit here and have more coffee….it’s going to be a long wait to get on the bike today….the temp needs to come up almost 10 degrees so I guess I sit here for a bit…more later….

Well…so much for taking the day off today…got it started with the grocery runs and then on the bike for the first ride…as soon as I got  back here, I picked up my checkbook and headed over to city hall to pay my water bill that never came…but I did find out they just sent it yesterday so it would take a few days….then I took off for the second ride from the city hall and got the chance to ride through town…lots of changes going on with a new breakfast place opening in a few weeks…my legs went flat on the way back and I think it was from no rest between the rides…but I got that done and back here where I put the laundry in and then cleaned the bathroom top to bottom…and now I need to go out and water the garden and do my teeth…then I’m done for the day…maybe I can take the day off tomorrow….

Well…damn, I have two hours to kill before I can do the grocery run and it’s too cold to get on the bike so what the heck do I do? Slept okay last night and had some interesting conversations on Mastodon so that was fun…but I am worn out today and in a little pain from the yard work but I’ll live through it….darn, it’s only 41 out there but I’m still going to put the top down on the car for the grocery run today….it was nice to get the yard work done yesterday but that leaves me with nothing to do today…okay, I have cleaning to do and the bathroom and kitchen are on that list so at least one of them will get done….it’s a leftover day today so I don’t need to cook but I do have to figure out meals for the rest of the week…no protein is on sale this week so I’ll eat out of the freezer….lots of stuff in there and I really should empty it a bit…2.5 pounds of chicken thighs and a couple of bags of Italian sausage so I’m not going to starve…not much to do today….waiting is pretty hard when I’m task oriented…just need to get stuff done but I know I have no schedule…but that doesn’t make it easier….more later…

Well…finally had the time to get outside and do some yard work today and was out there for over two hours after doing the weed walk, spraying the long grass in the fence with grass killer, and then weeding the east side of the house so I’ll be able to see all the flowers I planted that that have started to come up….oh, and I found a huge ant city that I hit with bug killer, too…and I got sunburned even with sunscreen on so I have have to buy some new stuff soon…and the asshole who is rebuilding that dump next door decided to thump the whole neighborhood so I made a call on him but didn’t look to see if the cops talked to him…if he does it again, I’ll call again…and one of his asshole buddies pulled in the alley thumping away and then just parked his truck so the alley was blocked…he got out of his truck and did what all of them do…he left the frickin music on as he went inside the house….it does look like I may not have any tomatoes this year…I’m done trying…I’ll have radishes, lettuce and maybe some beans but they are looking iffy, too….oh, well…

Well…it’s the middle of May and it’s only 45 degrees out there and that is just wrong….slept okay last night and smelled the coffee this morning and I wonder it it’s a sign that my taste is coming back…I can kind of taste the coffee today and I would like to be able taste something since it’s so boring eating without it….got a lot done yesterday but I’m going to take it easier today…just going to do the rides and take care of the garden…still looking for that feeling I used to get when I had a day in front of me that I could do what I wanted when I was younger…man, I just looked at the crepey skin on my arms and that makes me feel really old…I am really old but I really don’t need reminders of it….I wonder what happened to have warts sprout on my foot and left hand over the past month or so…have had them before but it’s been years and years since then….it was quieter here last night and I needed that….have been stressed out about having to make noise calls every day and have thought about selling this place but then the reality hit me that at the present interest rate of nearly 6%, I couldn’t afford the payment…and that sucks….oh, well…not much to do today…going to have more coffee and wait for the temp to come up…I did marinate some chicken thighs and I think I’ll cook them for lunch with some roasted potatoes…I have a green pepper in the fridge that I am going to take the seeds and plant them today just for grins….more later…

Well…I wonder if I should call all of my days busy ones since that appears to be what they are now…sound like a broken record doing these things…today started off with having to run to the bank to pay my credit card bill since I didn’t get one in the mail and it was due next week…then on the bike for the first ride, then mowed the lawn, had a light lunch, then back on the bike for the second ride, then I planted the remaining 12 cups of veggie seedlings I had in cups outside… cleaned up after that and treated everything with fungus killer again but it looks like I’m going to lose more tomato plants…I did figure out what the line of plants are in the garden yesterday when tiny little radishes started appearing in the line…so I have radishes at least and am hoping that more stuff comes up…I did change out the mouthwash I’m using to see it that is the cause of me losing my sense of taste but it may take a while to see….it would be nice to taste something again…okay, need to read some news…
