Well…darn, another early morning with waking up at 4:04 and out of bed a little after 5 and this is getting to be a habit I don’t like much…I did sleep okay and don’t feel too bad this morning but have a fatigue that makes me feel like I’m weighed down by it…hmmm…just did the math and I’m behind on the miles I need on the bike to get to 7K this year…in 40 days, I only have 762 miles in and that should have happened about 4 days ago…10% of the mileage I need in 10% of the year…it’s going to be close and a long grind…won’t be riding outdoors today with the high of 38 and that is going to continue for the next 10 days…but only one day of snow showers on the 22nd so I have hope we get to March without any major snowstorms…have to call my doctor to get another PSA test done Monday since I’m late by a month and don’t want to let the cancer get a head start…but I really hate the waiting to find out what the reading is….only had one meal yesterday even with doing the 42 miles on the bike and I’ll probably do that again today with making bean burritos with sauteed green peppers and onions for lunch…but first two bike rides downstairs that I have to get started by 7…so that gives me 16 minutes to have coffee and prepare…not much else to do today…I may try to go outside for one ride if it’s sunny and I should clean the kitchen up and look for a recipe to make…but I want to make pasta so that could wait a couple of days…more later…
Big day on the bike…
Well…with the weather changing tomorrow, I thought I’d get in some extra miles so I did two rides inside and then two outside for a total of 42 miles today…biggest day of the year so far…and there were lots of cool things to see..when I went out Thursday, Muskegon lake was still completely iced over and Lake Michigan still had ice piles that were still 6-8 feet tall…but, with the 60 degree temps yesterday, all of the ice was gone from Muskegon Lake and about 75% of the ice in Lake Michigan was gone by the time I got out there around 2 pm or so….I wouldn’t have gone out for the second ride at all if I would have looked at the weather report to see what the wind was doing…on the way back from the first ride, it had increased to around 20 and was supposed to get worse and it did for a while…but then around 2 I looked and the wind was back down to 15 which is what it was for the first ride so I suited up and headed out…and it was better than the first ride and i flew coming back with the wind…but now it’s time for some tv…
Carlson is an idiot…
Well…not sure if you watched the carlson/putin interview last night…I sure didn’t…but I have read about it and the only thing to say is that carlson is an idiot ass kisser…we all know this “interview” was just a way for the repubs to get ammunition to attack Joe Biden this fall…didn’t work out that way as putin reached back in time to justify attacking Ukraine all the way to the 9th century and the rest of the thing was just a bunch of delusions and lies…oh, and putin then went on to give a passionate defense of Hitler attacking Poland saying it was Poland’s fault that hitler invaded just like he went on and on that it was Ukraine’s fault that Russia invaded them…putin even poked fun at carlson since he tried to join the CIA once and got rejected…from what I’ve read, the whole damn thing was just carlson staring at putin as he lied, lied, and lied like any tin pot dictator…nice job, carlson, what a maroon…geez…
February 9th
Well…damn, the wind has been howling out here all night and it continues this morning…we had some thunderstorms roll through here last night and that is really weird for Feb in Michigan…the weather is going to make a huge change in the next few days going from almost 60 yesterday to in the 20’s Monday…so it looks like I won’t be able to get outdoors today….up at 5:23 this morning and I am so damn tired of getting up so early….just want to lie down on the couch and stop doing anything…but, I won’t….I do have to cook today since I used up all the leftovers yesterday and I think that is going to be bean burritos and some chicken pieces that I have way too many of….so, food that is bad for me but I’ve been good for weeks so I guess I can live with it…have been so busy lately that I really need an easy day to just live instead of doing, doing, and doing….but that will start after I get two rides in starting in 30 minutes or so…I do need to run an errand this morning since I need tomatoes for the burritos and a stalk of celery from aldis for some reason…maybe for snacks with some ranch? Not much to do today…just need to get going after I have another cup of coffee…man, I’m worn out…more later…
Another one of those days…
Well…darn, I’m a heck of lot busier since I retired and today was another one of those busy days…started out with getting on the bike a little after 7 and had all three rides in before 11…made some lunch and then cleaned up the piles of trash that the asshole renters left on the vacant lot across from their house…and there was enough trash to fill up 3 30 gallon trash bags…in the trash there were 52 half pint bottles of vodka, 60 red solo cups, and assorted food wrappers, diapers and over 40 water bottles…that took me almost an hour but now I don’t have to look at the trash when I go out to ride…after that I cleaned the bathroom from top to bottom, then did my weight work and i was done for the day about 3:30…so, an 8 1/2 hour day and that’s enough…now I’m going to watch some tv…
Telegraphing the ruling..
Well…was just reading that the SC is telegraphing what they are going to rule in the case that got to them from Colorado where their SC kicked the idiot trump off the ballot and it can’t be worse…we all know that this SC with all of the unqualified, lying, right wing hacks on it put there by idiot boy is poised to ignore the constitution…again..and rule that idiot boy can stay on the ballot no matter what the 14th amendment says…just as they did when they killed Roe and are going to kill the EPA and every other department of the government except what was in the constitution in 1787…they have shown that this is the most illegitimate court in the history of the country and John Roberts has a lot to do with that and is going to go down as the worst chief justice in the country’s history…he can’t even get thomas to recuse in this case even though it’s been shown that his wife was in the thick of the January 6th attack…corruption personified…geez…
February 8th
Well…man, I feel worn out today….I wonder if I need to adjust my effort level with being as old as I am? Up at 5:40 this morning and that follows the 4 am wake up yesterday and I’m sure that has something to do with how I feel…and not eating enough is part of it too, I mean 2 bowls of soup a day is about 800 calories and that has been 5 days now…but I am losing weight so I guess that’s something…but today ends that and I need to figure out the meals for the next few days…I know bean burritos are going to be part of it and there will be some pasta in there….and I did buy a head of lettuce so maybe some salads? Had a busy day yesterday but I hope today will be a little more relaxed…only going to do the rides and weight work and maybe clean the bathroom but don’t want to think about that right now…the wind is going to pick up this morning to almost 20 mph and that will make the outdoor ride a little tough…have 700 miles in for the year and when I do the math, there is no way to get to 7K for the year unless all I do is ride…and I wonder what is the point? Not much to do today…have 45 minutes before I need to get on the bike but first another cup of coffee…more later…
Busy day…again…
Well…after getting out of bed at around 5 this morning, I had much more energy than I should have so I got right at it and got on the bike around 6:30 after I had some coffee and got the first ride in then straight on to the grocery run and then back here by 9:07…then got the second ride in, had lunch, and then outdoors for the ride…back here and started the laundry and gave myself a hair cut, and just finished my workout at 4:30…so it’s been another busy day and I’m ready to be done but I had to come here and do another one of these to keep up the three a days I’ve trying to do…getting up so early has just worn me out and I need some rest…
Shot themselves in the foot…again…
Well…we really know how incompetent the repubs are but the last day took that to a whole new level…after months of negotiating for legislation to deal with the border “crisis” and having ole mitch come out and tout the agreement, 3 hours later after trump bitch slapped him, mitch came out and killed the bill…and part of it had to do with idiot boy needing the “crisis” to run on so he could bitch about it….but none of the repubs are smart enough to know that them killing the bill is going to be an anvil handed to them while they head off the cliff…and Joe Biden is smart enough to do just that…and now the repubs are out there lying to spin the reason to anything but a petulant trump being stupid and they are still scared of him…but then the house weighed in with their stupid impeachment of the head of Homeland security for not being tougher on the border…and they didn’t see the irony of killing the best deal they are ever going to get on the border…and they lost the impeachment vote, too…so, what a bunch of morons they are showing themselves to be…keep it up repubs…man, Nancy Pelosi made running the house and getting things done look easy…I miss her…geez…
February 7th
Well….yeah, that last post wasn’t true…I did get out on the bike outdoors yesterday…the temp got up to 36 so I thought I’d take a short ride sine there was no wind and with the goal for the year, I really have to ride…can’t take any time off or there is no way I’ll get there…so, another 29 mile day and I’ve been up since 5:04 and can start another on here in a half hour or so…need to get a ride in before the grocery run so I can get two in before lunch…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but i do want to clean the bathroom today since I have dust in the shower again…and i still can’t figure that out…I know this is a dusty house but damn, you would think that the water would keep the shower clean…oh, well…still don’t have to cook today with leftovers still in the fridge but I will need to cook Friday and that is going to be pasta and bean burritos but I don’t think the green pepper I bought last week will be usable…darn…ha, we are supposed to get thunderstorms tomorrow night and temps over 50 before it crashes into the 30’s Sat…and that will keep me off the outdoor bike for 10 days or so…but there is no snow in the forecast as we grind our way to March…not much to do today…just the grocery run and bike rides…cleaning is still staring me in the face so I’ll try to do some of that, too….more later…
