Well….if you think that this invasion of Ukraine started just recently, you’re wrong….Putin’s meddling started long ago…even before he started screwing with our elections in 2016…and Paul Manafort and trump were essential in trying to give Ukraine to Putin but weren’t successful…or as successful as Putin wanted and that meant making Ukraine a client state that he could dictate to and basically run to his every whim and plunder as he wanted….and when trump tried to extort Zelensky into making up dirt on Biden, it was all part of the disrespect that trump telegraphed that was taught to him by Putin…and since he was such a sycophant, trump was more than happy to treat them like crap like they had no worth….not like the democracy they are. With trump showing Putin that the US didn’t care about Ukraine for 4 years, Putin thought that was still the policy of the US and the EU no matter who was the in charge since we didn’t to anything at all when he invaded the Crimea….so he assumed that Ukraine wasn’t important to anyone and he could do the same there…but, it is not 2014 and trump is not in charge…we now have a president who understands that making partnerships with our allies is extremely important and you can see that with the almost monolithic response to Putin’s thuggery that is due to Biden and his team’s work….now we just need to keep it up and make Putin pay for his decades of bullshit…geez…

Couldn’t have made a bigger mistake….
Well…with the moron Putin invading Ukraine and the world’s response to it, it looks like he couldn’t have made a bigger mistake….starting with Ukraine shooting down at least 7 Russian aircraft and the widespread protests across Russia against the invasion, there are even reports that there have been some Russian troops who have surrendered once they understood that their mission was to kill Ukrainians. Let’s add to those events the fact that the Russian stock exchange is down almost 45% since the invasion started and sanctions are coming fast and hard from all across the globe including cutting Russia off from the world banking system and the start of sanctions against Putin’s cronies that include seizing their offshore bank accounts where they have stashed all of the cash they’ve stolen from the Russian people…and almost every country has ceased allowing any Russian to get a visa to travel…so no business or pleasure travel until Putin gives up his thuggery…oh, and to Putin’s big reason for invading that was to stop Ukraine’s joining of NATO and it’s expansion? It appears that Sweden and Finland are meeting with NATO today to talk about membership that would ensure that if Putin tries any bullshit with them, section 5 would be triggered and that means that if they are attacked, it is an attack on everyone in NATO and there is no way Putin can deal with that. So, moron, nice job, Putin…this is going to go down in history as one of the biggest mistakes ever made and I think it will mean the downfall of Russia for good….and the Hague is waiting for you if you ever leave Russia again for the war crimes you are committing right now….very smart, asshole…
Not enough sanctions…
Well…with the bullshit that Putin is pulling in Ukraine…just announcing that he recognized two regions as being independent countries…after he spent the past 5 years attacking those provinces by sending Russian soldiers disguised as Ukrainians in to cause mayhem and give him an excuse to send in un-disguised troops that is essentially an invasion based on lies…and the rest of the world, other than China, is standing together to make Putin pay for his unlawful behavior. But, with the sanctions that have been announced by both the US and the EU along with the UK, I still don’t think there are enough of them and I don’t think they are targeting the right people…I do agree with going after the banks in Russia and all of the Duma who voted to give Putin permission to invade…but I also think the next round that should be announced today in my opinion, should go after all of the oligarchs who have been Putin’s cronies and have stolen all of the wealth of Russia over the past 20 years…and that should start by seizing every damn villa, super yacht, bank account, and everything else of these thieves and make sure they can’t travel anywhere in the world or they will be arrested as part of the plot against Ukraine. So, I’m waiting, Biden…and the EU…get after it and make the pain for Russia so great it’s economy crashes and then maybe the people of Russia will get tired of his crap…it’s happened before…geez…
So nice to have a “real” president…
Well…no matter how much the right attacks and tries to belittle him, isn’t it nice to have a real president acting like a real president should? That thought came to me over the past few days after the Ukraine crisis bubbles on and as Putin has been trying all his old bullshit tricks to justify invading a sovereign nation…could you imagine how screwed up the world would be if idiot boy was still in charge? Cripes, Russia would be taking over it’s third or fourth country by now and trump would be in Moscow praising him for being so “strong” while abandoning all of Europe. It seems that someone in this administration plays chess with the moves that Biden has been making…and his restoring of our vital alliances and his leadership has all of the rest of the world on exactly the same page…and if Russia does invade, it will be the end of Putin as a player on the world stage and it’s economy will take a hit that will take decades to repair if it ever can. All of this from a “senile” old man who can barely talk if you listen to fox news…and I sure hope you don’t….look, Biden has restored the US’s leadership in the world by our actions, not the bullshit that trump and his administration spewed every day…and with Biden making sure that our allies understand they are equals that we value, I see a sense of relief from them and a willingness to back our actions since they are based on facts and not the “gut feel” of a moron…and that gives me relief to know that a real president is at the controls….
Let’s get this straight…
Well…it looks like the movement of Russian troops away from the border with Ukraine was a lie and there is still a real chance that they are going to invade before the week is out…and with that, I will admit I was wrong to think that Putin has any thought about anything but himself and playing the tough guy on the world stage…and when sanctions are imposed, the Russian people are going to pay for his stupidity while he and his oligarch buddies sit there and count their money that China is going to guarantee keeps flowing into their corrupt hands….and let’s get this straight…no matter what fox news says, the only one responsible for the deaths and carnage that is going to happen is Putin…it is not Biden’s fault, it is not NATO’s fault, it is not Ukraine’s fault…it is all on Putin and I really hope that the UN and the rest of the world hold him accountable and make sure Russia no longer has the capability to threaten it’s neighbors…we need to remember that Russia is a third rate economy and Putin is doing this to distract from all of his theft of anything that is not nailed down…geez….
I might have been right…
Well…with all of the noise that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is going to start tomorrow, Joe Biden gave a short and to the point speech that in no uncertain terms, the US will respond to any invasion of Ukraine or any NATO member with overwhelming economic sanctions and Putin must understand this…and guess what happened? Putin suggested that there may be a “diplomatic solution” to the crisis that he created…as I talked about this morning, I felt that Putin miscalculated the response from the west and thought that he could take over Ukraine with no opposition and just threats and it now looks like he may be coming to his senses…and Biden made a good point during his short speech today that we don’t want to hurt the Russian people but won’t be bullied by their government which they understand to mean Putin since they know Putin runs the show no matter who they vote for. So I guess we’ll see what happens over the next few days…I will gloat if I was right…it doesn’t happen too often….
Let’s quit the “Putin blinked” crap…
Well…there is a bunch of confusing information coming out about Russian troop movements this morning with some reports saying they are moving away from the Ukraine border and others saying they are moving closer to the border…but there was an official Russian statement that gloated that the west was completely wrong about the invasion and it was just alarmism and trying to hurt Russia with lies….now, again, this could be one of two things…it could be Russia trying another smokescreen to lull the world into thinking they aren’t attacking or it’s Putin trying to figure out a way to get out of his self created crisis without damaging his standing in Russia or the world…now, if it’s the latter, we need to stop saying that Putin “blinked” and help him get out of this mess by essentially being quiet and letting him do it…the world all knows who is responsible for this and we can gently remind everyone that it was Putin and Russia that started the whole thing…but, we can also allow him to save face to defuse the situation with no war…smart diplomacy backed up by the concerted action of NATO showed it’s worth during this entire crisis…so, and I never thought I’d be saying this…give Putin a little time to declare victory and go home…and don’t gloat about the win…sometimes the best diplomacy is to just stay quiet….hmmm…
Biden is doing it right…
Well…damn, what a difference a real president makes on the world stage…as Putin rattles his sabers and threatens Ukraine with an invasion if they don’t roll over for him and stop working with the west to guarantee their sovereignty, can you imagine what would be happening if the idiot boy was still in office? Yep, he would be rolling over for Putin and half of Ukraine would be Russian territory by now…but, Biden is not taking any of Putin’s bullshit and is working with NATO to respond to his threats with the only thing he understands…power…and we are making it clear what the cost will be if he does invade…the Russian economy will be crashed and it will cost him billions personally…and he won’t have a reconstituted USSR that is his real aim. I understand the people who are protesting and have sent letters to Biden opposing war in Ukraine, but appeasement of people like Putin just doesn’t work…and I think that Putin is thinking in terms of the previous guy who was so scared of everything and his administration was so incompetent that he could basically do whatever he wanted anywhere in the world with no consequences…and that is no longer true when you have a competent president who truly values our allies and works with them as a team to meet Putin’s blustering…no matter what China says….why they are supporting Putin on trying to stop NATO expansion, I don’t know but I think it is more a sharp stick in the eye to a newly muscular American foreign policy…and it costs China nothing as they try to extend their influence across the world…so, I think Biden is doing it right and I hope he keeps it up…
The Ukrainians have opened an investigation…
Well…woke up this morning to the news that the Ukrainians have opened an investigation, but it’s not really the one that the idiot trump wanted. After the House released the information from the Lev Parnas investigation that showed that Rudy’s conspiracy had Ambassador Yovanovitch under surveillance, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry opened a criminal investigation into those involved…hey, I wonder if ole Rudy is going to be going back to Ukraine in the future? Yeah, probably not since he would end up in custody if he did since, if true, he violated both Ukrainian law and the Vienna conventions that protect ambassadors from this type of treatment…and now isn’t it ironic that Ukraine is investigating these threats while the US and Bill Barr’s justice department have swept all of this criminal activity under the rug and are not doing a damn thing about it? This is going to be an interesting story to follow over the next couple of days and there are more shoes to drop in the second part of the Parnas interview with Rachael that will be on tonight…and with the announcement of the investigation by the Ukraine, it appears that they are no longer afraid of trump and his conspirators since this extortion scheme hit daylight…so, don’t let anyone tell you that impeachment wasn’t or isn’t worth it…the people of Ukraine surely wouldn’t….
It just keeps getting worse…
Well…just got back from a long bike ride and I am still trying to warm up with little success so after I do this, it’s under the blanket time…after the release of more information about Lev Parnas’ involvement in the Ukraine extortion scandal, the scandal just keeps getting worse and worse. With the latest revelations, it appears that Parnas and his cronies had the ambassador they were trying to get rid of under surveillance and were tracking her movements for some reason…and that reason was cryptically revealed to be the possibility of paying someone in the Ukraine that Parnas and his criminals were working with to “get rid” of her and they talked about how much money that would take. Now, to me and to other people who have experience with reporting on organized crime, this sounds like they were getting ready for a “hit” on her and the state department took the threats so seriously that they told her to get out of Ukraine on the “next plane”. So now we have a “president” whose criminal cronies were going to kill an ambassador to get her out of the way of their corrupt schemes and not one damn repub is saying it’s wrong or commenting at all…I guess now murder is not an impeachable offense, either….and they are going to help idiot boy get away with it…but not for long…
