Well…damn, another winter storm is coming for tomorrow night and I am so damn tired of the cold and snow…I mean no temps over 50 at all in March? Oh, well…slept okay last night but was up at three and then out of bed around 6:30 but I feel kind of worn out today…I did get my new earbuds yesterday and they synched up with my tablet pretty easily so I’m going to use them for the indoor ride this morning…but, I’m going to try to get an outdoor ride in today as soon as it gets warm enough….and that should be after lunch…didn’t get a lot done yesterday…no, that’s not true…I got enough done so it didn’t trigger the guilts and I need to do that again today but I’m not sure if that will be cleaning or what but I do need to do something…have to figure out meals for a few days and I don’t have a clue what they will be…I do have pork steaks for one but I’m not sure what the second meal will be…I did discover what looks like a good show last night on netflix called “The Night Agent” and that will give me something to watch for the next 8 days….not much to do today…just going to ease into it and read some news before I get on the bike

Well…it was another busy morning today with being busy the whole time and not getting done until around 1…started it out by hand washing the car at the car wash and then running over to Meijers to get some stuff I forgot Wed…back here to do two rides and then make lunch and clean up afterwards…took a little bit of time off before I made a light dinner of pasta and garlic bread…it was supposed to rain all day today but the sun is shining right now…thought about going for an outdoor ride but it’s only 41 out there and I just don’t want to be cold….maybe tomorrow….there is finally too much stuff to watch on tv tonight with having 3 shows on netflix and a new one that came out today that looks good that I’m going to start the night with that at 7 and then get into “Picard” and “The Mandolorian”…still have”Ted Lasso” in the queue but that will probably be tomorrow…I’m waiting for my new bluetooth earbuds to come so I can use them on the bike tomorrow…not sure what I’m expecting at 20 bucks but they got good reviews for the sound so I’ll keep my fingers crossed….
Obstruction of justice in plain sight…
Well…since the idiot trump announced last week that he was going to be arrested Tuesday of this week, his fellow traitors in the house have sprung into action to try to obstruct the investigation into election fraud in NYC…and this whole thing is being run by jim jordan….you remember him, right? The guy who looked other way while a doctor at Ohio state molested a bunch of athletes while jordan was a wrestling coach there? Yep, that guy…sent a letter to Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan DA who is investigating trump for paying Stormy Daniels to stay quiet before the 2016 election, ordering him to turn over all of the evidence they have against idiot boy…and just today Bragg’s office basically sent a letter telling him to go to hell since they have no jurisdiction to interfere in a state prosecution, and gave specific reasons they are not going to comply citing court decisions and the right of the state of NY to run their state the way the constitution allows them to….so no, little jimmie…you are not going to be able to use your house powers to protect idiot boy…he is still going to be indicted…and as I talked about earlier this week, I didn’t think it would be this week anyway…more likely the week after next since the grand jury in NY is still meeting…at least today…geez…
March 23rd
Well…running a bit late this morning with not getting out of bed til 7 or so and only woke up once at around 3 so that is an improvement from yesterday….and I’m less sore today so I’ll take it….got some work done yesterday and I’m going to start the day with more as soon as it gets light…going to go out to wash the car here in a minute and at least it’s not freezing so the car won’t ice up…the radar looks like it’s raining out there and that’s okay…will help get the salt off it…my new wireless earbuds are supposed to come today and I can’t wait to try them with my tablet….they probably won’t be delivered in time to use them on the bike today but that will give me something to look forward to tomorrow…it’s kind of funny that just getting on the outdoor bike a couple of days ago has my back halfway to a spasm and I may have to heat it again today…not bad enough to take anything for it but I can see it coming…this weather is depressing the heck out of me…I need spring to come…and soon…not much to do today…just going to wash the car and then come back here to ride the bike…will probably do some cleaning since the dust is coating the living room…and that is with no work going on…old houses are dusty…more later…
Got stuff done today…
Well…even with not getting much sleep last night, I got a bunch of stuff done today and I think it was good that I had things to distract me or I probably would have ended up taking a nap…after I got the errands run, including picking up 100 pounds of composted manure at Menards that I am going to cut into the garden next week, I hit Aldis and Meijers where I picked up some pork loin steaks for 1.39 a pound so I got two packages of those…after I got back here, I did the two rides back to back and that made the second one a lot of work…I’m still sore from riding outdoors the other day and it really wrenched on my right thumb when I used the shifter…oh, well…after I took a little time of to have lunch, I got after the dust and cobwebs in my bedroom and the flared my allergies even more but I hope they will calm down after I run the air purifier tonight…so it was a productive day today and I think I’ve earned some veg time tonight…
Scraping the bottom of the barrel..
Well…haven’t talked about the illegal Russian invasion of Ukraine in a while so, with what was reported this morning, I thought I’d just do a shorty on it…the amount of equipment that Russia has lost is just staggering…I mean almost 3,000 tanks, thousands of artillery pieces, thousands of armored fighting vehicles…you get the point, they have been bleeding equipment almost on a daily basis…just yesterday they lost 8 tanks…and with the sanctions in place, the Russians really can’t replace them with the semi modern tanks they were sending…they really don’t have a modern tank that can match the Leopard 2’s or the M1 Abrams that we are sending them in the near future…so what is Russia’s response? They start sending even older tanks that they had in storage in Siberia or someplace like that…just today photos were posted of tanks that were made in the 40’s…late 40’s I guess but at least designed in the late 40’s….by comparison, if we sent tanks of that generation, we’d have to dig some Shermans out of museums to go that far back….where do you get parts for something that old? I do know that one Leopard or Abrams could take on 30 or 40 of those old relics and come away unscathed…remember that in the Iraq war, not one Abrams was lost to the same tanks the Russians are using in Ukraine…so the ones they scraped off the bottom of the barrel are really not going to do much….but, hey…keep sending them, they will make great scrap metal….
March 22nd
Well…that sucked…up at around three and out of bed by 5:36 and I am worn out….it was one of those times when you wake up, roll over, and know there is no point in even trying to sleep more…so I am going to be worn out all day today….had a good day yesterday and got 31 miles in on the bike but it is going to be a struggle to get 16 in today…I could go down right now and get one in before the grocery run but the coffee isn’t even done yet and there is no way I’m doing that without coffee…so, I’ve got about two hours to kill before I can get going…think I’m going to stop at Menards this morning to pick up the manure I need for the garden so that will be a Sternberg road run today….I can feel the pain from riding outdoors and my back is about an inch from seizing up so I probably should heat it before I get going….I don’t think there is going to be a spring this year with looking at the 10 day forecast that has the highs staying in the 30’s and 40’s and that just plain sucks….oh, well…not much to do today…just the grocery run and then riding but I do need to clean my bedroom today to get rid of all the dust and I hope that helps the allergies… going to be in low and slow mode for the morning to conserve energy….more later…
31 miles in today…
Well…I gave in…went out to check the fluids in the car and it felt warm enough to ride but the wind was iffy…so I thought about it for about a minute, suited up, and took off to get 15 miles in for 31 total for the day….it was nice actually and the wind was blowing out of the south so it wasn’t too bad…there were a couple of hundred ducks off the point today and they were not Mallards so I’ll have to look it up to see what they were….they are putting in the trail detour so it looks like I’ll be cut off from the point this summer and that sucks…it’s the best view on the trail and I’ll miss it…already feel pretty sore after being outside but I won’t be able to get out again this week with the rain that is coming in…crap…oh, well…have almost 700 miles indoors and that is close to what I had in last year before I was able to ride outside every day…and I am not going to take days off like last year…I’ll just ride downstairs….

Well…read an interesting article yesterday that showed that every damn repub president since Eisenhower cheated to get into office…starting with Nixon who sent campaign people to South Vietnam to sabotage a peace agreement that LBJ had worked out between the North and south so Humphrey couldn’t run on that against Nixon…costing another 20K American lives and a million more Vietnamese just to get elected…and Reagan did the same damn thing running against Carter when he sent campaign staff to Iran to get them to hold the hostages until after the election, promising them a deal that would ensure they could get the spare parts for their American weapons after Carter already had a deal in place to get them released…and that morphed into the Iran/Contra scandal where Reagan committed treason and got away with it…sound familiar? Of course the we have Bush 1 who famously attacked Dukakis with the Willie Horton racist ads..and whose operatives fanned out across the country getting people thrown off the voter rolls….and then Bush 2 who used the Supreme Court to put him into office by stopping the vote counting in Florida which a study a little later by the NYT where every ballot was counted by hand found that Al Gore had won Florida by 5,000 votes and should have been president…and of course you know that the idiot trump was installed by Russian interference and paying off pornstars…I really don’t understand why this is not front page news across the country…not one of these repubs were legitimately elected…and yet we still live the damage that every one of them did…and no one cares…geez…
March 21st
Well…up at 6:21 this morning and I still feel pretty worn out…hope that goes away after some coffee…had an okay day yesterday and even got a few things done and I am thinking about trying to get a ride in outdoors today and I wonder if that will be in addition to two indoor rides or one and one? That’s too much to think about right now….I do need to clean my bedroom to get the cobwebs and dust out of it and that may help my allergies that got really bad yesterday afternoon…I do have to get the grocery list together today since I have a lot of stuff to get tomorrow after I made room in the freezer cleaning it the other day….really need to think about my diet and change things up since I have a tomato and cheddar left so I should make some nachos today but I still have ham left to be used and can’t waste that….I do need to check the fluids out in the car today before I run over to Sternberg road tomorrow…the steering on the car is good again and I don’t want to get air in it….and I should wash it again but that will be Thursday since I want to do that in the morning….not much to do today…just the rides and cleaning as I wait for the pain of sleeping to go away….more later….
