Well…after it was announced that the idiot trump’s company was fined 1.6 million dollars for years of ongoing fraud that it was convicted of, immediately the cries of outrage that the fine was too small exploded everywhere I went on the internet today…and, at first, it even raised my outrage meter a bit that the fine was so small…but, settle down, people…that 1.6 million dollars was the largest fine allowed by law so the sentencing judge couldn’t raise it higher than that…so let’s look at this another way…it not very often that any lawbreaking organization gets the biggest fine possible…it’s usually quite a bit under it so I think the judge did the best he could in this instance to make sure people knew that these crimes were serious enough to merit the top fine…now they just need to lock the criminal in chief up…geez…
This feels weird…
Well…sitting here after doing my last bike ride for 3 weeks and it feels weird…I’m going to have to find something to fill those two hours that I rode every day and part of it needs to be something that will burn calories…will probably start to break in the new Fila shoes I got last week…might even walk over to the library since it’s only 5 blocks from here and read some newspapers…probably start that Monday but we’ll see….I’m not sure what I’ll do today but I still don’t feel like doing much so I may just sit here for a bit and do some reading or some posting on Mastodon….feel a little lost…but I will be back for a political one in a while…damn, it’s going to hard taking the calories down to around 500 a day…I’ve already had two chicken legs and a roast potato and that is almost 500 for the day already…and I’m planning on having two tacos for dinner so I’ll be near a thousand for the day…but I did ride so that won’t be too bad…
January 13th
Well…running late this morning and I almost forgot to come here and do this before I run errands this morning….up at 5:04 and out of bed by 7 today but I don’t feel like I slept at all…and that is probably from just pouring my first cup of coffee at 7:40…it feels like a slow day today that I’m not sure how it’s going to play out…I do need to get out to Meijers to get my mega tickets for tonight and an onion for the guac I’m going to make as soon as the avocados are ready and I can’t figure out how I forgot it Wed….I did get some chicken legs in a marinade last night that I’m going to cook for lunch today and then I’ll finish off the tacos for dinner…then I switch to one meal a day for the next three weeks to make up for not riding the bike…not sue how that is going to work going down to well under a thousand calories a day….but I am happy that I’ve lost a lot of weight and don’t want to put 10 pounds back on in those three weeks…I guess I’ll have to see how my body functions on so little calories and adjust as I go…not much to do today…just the errands and the bike rides and then taking the day as it comes…more later….
Next to the last day….
Well….didn’t get a lot done today on the next to last day of riding until Feb 6th…I did find a urologist out here that works for the U of M medical system and the first appointment is on the 14th of Feb, and then my mouth surgery starts the next week but it will all be done by the end of Feb….then I will probably need some kind of treatment for the prostate problems but I am going to cut that off long before the trip on the 19 of Sept so I can be healed up and can walk a lot…it has been nice that it hasn’t been snowing but we are going to get some next week and I hope it goes through here before I have to start going to appointments…I still have no clue how I’m going to get to the periodontist appointments…medicare is supposed to provide rides to and from doctors appointment so I’ll have to check it out…didn’t get the chance to watch any tv last night so I have lots to watch tonight and I’m going to enjoy that…..
The Missouri taliban….
Well…when the Missouri legislature started today, guess what the first piece of business was? The repubs running it just had to propose new rules restricting what women can wear in the chamber…I guess the taliban there was too excited seeing the bare arms of women so they had to make a rule that said that women can’t wear anything that shows their bare arms….what’s next? Are these backward assholes going to propose that women have to wear skirts or hijab? Or veils covering their faces? This is the modern repub party folks…trying to treat women as second class citizens who have no innate rights but only those the men give them…and this is just a part of the repub plan to keep these uppity women in their place across this country…and the only way to make it stop is to stop voting for these pricks…geez..
January 12th
Well…running late this morning with getting up at 5:04 and then out of bed at 7:20….and my frickin back hurts again…not as bad as before but it does hurt and that is disappointing…at least my teeth don’t hurt right now but they probably will in a little while…I sure don’t want to get on the bike today but I probably will…just so damn worn out that all I want to do is melt into the couch for a couple of hours…talked to my oldest brother for hours yesterday and I’m heading to his place Sat morning to help him put a new garage door opener up…it was nice to reminisce about a lot of stuff and talk music and damn near everything else….I think I talked more yesterday than I have in months…and then Tom called right after that and we talked for another hour so I’m all talked out and want to be silent for the next two days…one good thing with being on the phone all night is that I have lots of shows to watch for the next couple of days….today is the last day of leftovers so I need to marinade some of the chicken legs I got yesterday to cook tomorrow but I still need to figure out a second meal for the next few days…I do have avocados to make some guac and I am going to try roasting the garlic for it and I have to remember to take a jalapeno out of the freezer to put in it for some kick…not much to do today…I am going to drag myself down to ride but I should be there now but just can’t do it…need more coffee and to read the news….more later….
RIP Jeff Beck
Well…it just came over Mastodon that Jeff Beck has died at 78…contracted bacterial meningitis a few days ago and now he’s gone…he was from that class of British guitar players like Jimmy Page and Pete Townsend and even played with Jimmy in the Yardbirds for a spell…I was never that big of a fan but I did see a 2014 concert from Japan that was really great a couple of years ago…RIP, Jeff.
Quitting early…
Well…I think I’m going to quit early today instead of waiting for the FA cup match at 3…the weirdest thing just happened to me…one finger on each hand went numb and turned white, but 15 minutes later they are back to normal just like nothing happened…well, other than they feel cold but they’ve been cold all day today so I’m not sure what the connection is…the new battery cable worked great and I got the grocery runs done this morning but what the heck is the deal with Meijers and not having anything? They didn’t have the fat free milk I normally drink so I had to get 1%…and this is the second time this has happened in the past three weeks…and the register was not ringing up sale prices this morning so they had to manually change them to get to get them to the advertised price of a buck each for the avocados I get today to make some guac…and I got a fresh lime to juice for it since my lime juice is pretty old….but they won’t be ready for a couple of days….so I’ll make it this weekend….

Well…just saw a bit of good news that the special counsel brought in to consolidate all of the investigations into the idiot trump has brought in a public corruption specialist to be part of the team…and that he has just subpoenaed ole Rudy Giuliani for his role in the 250 million dollar scam that trump pulled when he fleeced his supporters, saying the money was going to be used to contest the election but he never spent any of it for that…and folks, that is called fraud and it is something that idiot boy’s company was just convicted of in NYC. And it looks like everyone else that was involved have been served as well and I sure hope that this means that Jack smith is moving this case and every other case forward and maybe, just maybe he will get to trump soon…and get him the hell out of public life once an for all…geez…
January 11th
Well…up kind of early this morning with waking up at 5:04 and out of bed at 6:27 but my back doesn’t hurt much so I’ll take it….and my teeth don’t hurt much either but they’re going to later if they stay with the normal pattern….still pretty worn out and I know part of it is from not eating enough with only two tacos and a burger yesterday and that will be the same today…I need to continue to restrict my calories since I’ll be off the bike starting Friday….think I’m going to start walking around the neighborhood to try to burn some calories and break in my new walking shoes but I know that won’t burn the calories I need to so I’m thinking of going down to one meal a day…if I can stay under 1,000 calories a day I may be able to limit my weight gain…and then do three rides a day to make up for the time off…didn’t get much done yesterday but I am going to try to keep going on the kitchen today….the stove, microwave, and floor needs cleaning and that is going to be the goal today…I am curious about how the new battery cable end is going to work…the car should start better but we’ll see…..more later….
