Well…it’s almost two and it’s been an okay day so far….do I dare say that I even felt almost happy out on the second ride and I don’t know where that came from….and I have 45 miles in so far and mowed the lawn so I’m pretty sure I’ll be out for a 4th one after the Portugal/Czech republic soccer match that is on at 2:45…and I even mowed the lawn in between rides and the mower is still working fine after I fixed it a couple of weeks ago….still need to get the pork chops in the marinade here in a minute but I need to take a little break first…the soreness is starting to bubble up in my legs but I think they will still be a go when the soccer match is over around 5….I think I will make popcorn for the hearings at 8 tonight and I laughed my butt off when Mark Hamill popped up in my twitter feed this morning cradling a big bowl of popcorn in his pj’s in anticipation for tonight….it was good to have a lot of work to do today so I really didn’t have to think much…just to plan the sequence of the rides, lunch, and mowing….now it’s break time…I need some water….
It’s our civic duty…
Well…with the start of the January 6th hearings tonight, I’m going to implore all of my readers and the rest of the country to do our civic duty and watch them…8pm tonight on every channel but the traitors channel…otherwise known as fox news…but not just watch, take in the information that is going to come out and use it to inform your vote…and understand that everyone who was involved in trying to overthrow the government was a repub…and we know that even before any hearings or investigation….they all did it openly and in plain sight so you have to wonder what is going to come out that was hidden….the news has already reported that all of the facts so far point right back to the idiot trump…that his WH was the epicenter of all the criminal activity trying to keep him in power and most of the legal analysts think he has committed multiple felonies in the furtherance of the conspiracy…the key to this whole thing is what we do with the information we will get from the 6 hearings that are scheduled….do not fall into the the trap that both sides do it…never in the history of the country has a dem been involved in trying to overthrow the legally elected government of the US…not damn once and anyone saying otherwise is lying to go with the big lie that the election was “stolen” from idiot boy….so we need to take this information, put partisanship aside and do our civic duty and vote these traitors out of office…and guarantee they never get anywhere near the government again…and criminally prosecute anyone who broke the law trying to keep trump in office…that is the bare minimum…and it is our duty to make sure it happens…or the country is lost….
June 9th
Well…damn, it’s the middle of June and my heat came on last night and that is just wrong…and I’ll have to wait to get on the bike this morning since it is only about 48 out there and I need at least 50 to go out without long pants on…brrr…was up a bunch of times last night but slept okay and feel okay this morning so I’ll take that…and it looks like I have an hour before it will be warm enough to go out on the bike so I’ll have the chance to have enough coffee to get me started today….it was nice to have rain all day yesterday and I hope it’s enough to green my lawn back up after I fed it before the rain started a couple of days ago….but I know I’ll have to start watering it again and need to make the decision of how much brown I can accept before next week when it’s not supposed to rain at all and the temp is getting back up into the 80’s….and I also need to think about how much I want to go to the beach with the nice weather coming…damn, what a problem to have….I did get 5 of the 8 bean seeds I planted for extras to come up over the past day so that is cool but still no extra peppers and I must have planted 20 or 30 of them…I guess I’ll just have to do without them this year….but I have excess tomatoes coming up all over the garden from seeds that were left from the dropped tomatoes at the end of the season last year and I am a little curious what kind they are….not much to do today….just going to clean some after doing the bathroom yesterday and I’m going to feed all of the flowers that have come up along the house…not sure when I’m going to have to mow the lawn again but it won’t be today…and I need to get some of the pork chops I got yesterday in a marinade so I can have some of them tomorrow…oh, and I do need to watch the January 6th hearings tonight and I think everyone should….this is going to reveal just how bad the repubs are in their conspiracy against you, me, and the country…and it’s not going to be pretty….more later….
Looks like one ride today…
Well…I’m glad I decided to go out for a ride before I did the grocery run this morning…was waiting for a dry hole that was coming this way for a second ride but it just filled in and it looks like rain for the next 3 or 4 hours so probably only one ride today…unless I go out late after it’s over but I’m not sure I want to…so probably 3 rides tomorrow to make up for it….I did get out to GH this morning to get garden food and might have enough for half the summer anyway…then I hit aldis and got back here before 10 but still had a run to Hardings to make to get some assorted pork chops for 1.49 a pound and milk they had on sale…got 6 pounds of chops to restock the freezer and have some in a couple of days after the leftovers are done…I think taking the battery switch out of the back of the car has made a difference…it seems to start better…not like the battery is weak and that is pretty cool…and I drove almost 30 miles today which is 3 times what I normally do in a week…but now the car will sit til Sunday and getting the paper….I did get some cleaning done, too, and have a nice smelling bathroom with the second set of towels hung up…pretty nice to have two sets now….but, soccer is coming on in a few minutes and I am done working for the day…
The most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in a while…
Well…you know how I feel about people toting guns around everywhere…that it shows that these people are scared of everything and have bought into the delusion that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun…but a photo I saw yesterday in my twitter feed was the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in a long time…the photo was of a white male, of course, who was waiting in line at a coffee shop and this moron had 4 pistols strapped to his hips and belly, and at least 20 full magazines for them, along with an AR-15 strapped across his back…and quite a few mags for it to go along with the rest of the stupidity…now, how the hell scared or delusional do you have to be to walk around in public armed like that? Another story showed that carrying around an AR-15 is no protection from robbery or anything else as a guy in St. Louis got robbed at gunpoint of his AR-15 that he had strapped to his back….and then went back to his car and got a pistol, took off after the robbers and shot two bystanders while never getting the AR-15 back….so I guess the “good guy” with a gun is not so good when he shoots bystanders while supporting his delusion that he is a tough guy when he really is just a scared piece of crap that has a nothing life and clings to his guns as the last thing he has control of…anyone who needs to display guns strapped all over their bodies to get “respect” has never earned any in life by being a good person who cares about others…you can’t intimidate people into respecting you…fear maybe, and I think that is how they get their jollies anyway…they love being a “big man” who can scare people…just a bunch of hollow bullshit…

Well…as of today, the repub spin machine is in high gear trying to belittle the January 6th committee and every low life from the right is on tv spouting the talking point that, again, it’s all a hoax and no one did anything wrong…including the idiot daughter in law of the idiot in chief who was on fox spewing her bullshit all day yesterday. The one question I want to ask is “if there is nothing there, why are the repubs and fox news trying so hard to hide it?” As you know, fox is not going to air any of the hearings and is tasking it’s “stars” with coming up with counter programming that will keep their viewers in the dark about what happened and even push the stupid idea they have been pushing from the start that the attack by right wing terrorists was a “false flag” done by the FBI and Antifa…and their stupid followers will eat it right up since they only watch fox news or newsmax and both of those channels are all conspiracy all the time and lie constantly…look, they are scared that even if just a few of the true believers are peeled off by the truth unveiled in the public hearings, it will be enough to put Florida into play and maybe even get Beto elected in Texas….that is why they are all in on propaganda and lies about January 6th…they know that if their god trump is proven to have been at the center of the treason, it may be possible to get the people who are on the fence to jump over to our side…and if they lose anyone, they are screwed…I hope…
June 8th
Well…that was a little better…didn’t get out of bed til 6:23 but was up and down all night and I’ll still take it….feel better this morning and might even have a little energy to go out on the bike here in a few minutes…even though it is only 52 out there right now…it is supposed to rain today but we have the same damn thing going on that happens all the time out here…the storms are splitting and going north and south and leaving us in the dry slot in between….so it looks like more money going into the lawn with watering it over the next few days…darn…didn’t get much done yesterday and that is a little disappointing…I think part of it is a lack of planning and just winging the days when I know that I’ll gravitate toward doing nothing if I do that….but I really don’t have a lot to do outside here anymore with all of the big outside projects done….I do have to brave the construction and run into GH to the depot there to get the garden food I need since they don’t carry it up here and that is a little weird….might do that tomorrow or later today if it rains…it is a little weird that I’m using Meijers less and less as they have less bargains on sale every week…this week, I’m not even going there at all and will just go to Aldi’s and Hardings to get sale items…I think they’ve outsmarted themselves by forcing you to buy multiple items to get the sale prices…I mean how much of one thing does a person living alone need? Not much to do today…need to ride here in a minute and then out to aldi’s but that is about all I have planned…will try to get a second ride in later this morning but I still have my fingers crossed that I’ll get rained out….more later….
A small, cool thing happened today…
Well…I almost forgot about this small, cool thing that happened this morning….I had all my trash out to the curb for pickup today and when the workers who are working on the curbs and sidewalk across the street showed up and parked right in front of my trash bin so there was no way the garbage truck could get to it…it steamed me a little bit and when I got back from the first ride, I pulled up in front of the house to talk to one of the guys and ask him to move his truck so the trash could get picked up…and the guy said the truck had already been there and he had pulled my trash bin over to an open space so they could pick it up….and I thought that was a pretty cool thing…sometimes little things make me happy…but, they didn’t pick up my yard waste so I do need to call about that tomorrow….oh, well….
Only 30 miles today…
Well…not sure if I should be proud of myself or to feel guilty but I only rode twice today even with having enough time to go out for a third one…I could even go out right now at 6:07 but I just don’t want to…I didn’t get much done today with not sleeping and feeling like I had my feet in sand all day…it was a lot of work to just do the normal stuff and I hope it will be better tomorrow…and it should if I can get more than 4 hours of sleep tonight….not going to talk about how many calories I took in because I’m pretty sure it wasn’t enough even with only doing 30 miles…..and I have broken my habit of dry roasted peanuts at night so that should work to help the weight come off…I know I’ve been shedding water like crazy all day but a lot of that is drinking much more since my big toe is starting to twinge and that means the dehydration is coming back…and I don’t want a full blown gout attack or I’ll be off my feet for a few days….still haven’t got the renewal for my car plates so I decided to not wait and renewed them online so the new tabs will be here in time for my birthday….I did start looking for a bike light so I can take it out in the dark if I want and I found a rechargeable one with the taillight for only 16 bucks so I may buy that this week along with the new bike bag…but that will total 40 bucks and I don’t want to spend any money with car insurance and summer taxes coming up in August that should total close to a grand….still need to be careful what I spend these days…but, I’m not buying anything at Meijers this week so that may even out….the car tags were 81 bucks and that hurt a bit spending that much money…and I need to put gas in the car tomorrow that should be 30 bucks….ouch….oh, well….
According to the NYT, it’s a cudgel…
Well…if there was any question that the media is failing us as we try to save our democracy, you just have to look at the NYT that is buying into the repub talking point that the only reason for the January 6th committee is for the dems to use it as a “cudgel” to attack the repubs before the 2022 elections. Not to bring the people who tried to overthrow the election to justice for the crimes they did…nope, it’s just to use it as an attack on repubs…and this is just so much bullshit that they should be ashamed of themselves…and why not attack the people who tried to kill this country and allow a criminal to stay in power? So, to use their logic, the Watergate committee was just there to attack Nixon and not to uncover the crimes that he and his cronies committed….and the propaganda arm of the repub party, fox news, is not even going to carry the hearings that start Thurs night but will present their regular lineup of liars to continue to make sure that their viewers don’t see the truth of the breadth of the corruption that is the modern repub party….and this fits the pattern from the day of January 6th, when the repubs all downplayed the seriousness of the attack and wanted to just sweep it under the rug so they can use the same tactics in every other election…and they are still rigging them across this country as they install far right Secretaries of state who will make sure that only the repubs can ever win another election…this is going on now folks and unless we get out to vote this fall, there won’t ever be another fair election in this country…and that is just the fact….and it won’t be reported by the media at all….geez…
