Well..finally…it was reported yesterday that the idiot trump is under investigation by the DOJ for the whole fake electors, January 6th insurrection crimes and it is not a day too soon…and they have been talking to anyone they want since you do not blow off a DOJ subpoena like they did the congressional one…although Steve Bannon is finding out there are consequences for doing that with being convicted of contempt of congress on two counts and he should get a couple of years in the klink for that….but this latest has high ups in Pence’s office talking to the doj and I’m sure that they have giuliani, Meadows, Clark, and Eastman in their sights since they were the drivers of that particular conspiracy…so, the investigation is still not going fast enough for me especially since Garland let the 5 year statute of limitations expire without charging trump with obstruction of justice with the evidence from the Mueller report….no I hope they do ted cruz, josh hawley, check grassley, and lindsey graham since there were all involved with the plot and they should be held responsible for their crimes against the US, too. The perp walk for idiot boy is getting closer and I couldn’t be happier…he needs to be in jail and his poison needs to be excised from this country…vote everybody…let’s get sanity and progressive values back into the government…geez…
July 28th
Well…that was okay…tossed and turned all night but feel okay this morning other then the soreness from doing the entire lawn with the string trimmer yesterday…so that means it’s really going to hurt tomorrow and I need to plan for that and probably get ahead of it with ibuprofen….I’m not sure if I want to rush out to get a ride in before the grocery run today with the rain that is coming in…ha,ha…yeah like we ever get rain out here…but the radar shows a small shower over the lake but I need to wait until it’s light to get out and that won’t be til 6:45 or so…could get wet but that’s okay…I do need to tighten the cable clamp for the rear shifter since I think it’s not completely tight with having to adjust it a lot the past few days….and that gets annoying….I do have to get my absentee ballot done today so I can drop it off at the cop shop drop box…say that fast a couple of times…still have not had to vote in person out here since I moved here and that is pretty cool…probably should find out where my voting place is just in case the repubs get their way and eliminate absentee voting…not much to do today…need to do the grocery run this morning and then maybe get a ride in before my dentist appointment at 12:30…no work today but just a checkup to see the progress on getting them stabilized and getting the infection under control…I know they feel better with the pain almost gone and I’m able to eat cold food again without any sensitivity…and that makes me want to try some macaroni salad this week to go with the potato salads I’ve been making…and that will be the first time I’ve made that…of course I’ll do one of these when I do that to report how good or bad it turns out…more later….
Got out to the beach again today…
Well…even with getting the two bike rides in and then using the string trimmer to do the trimming and edging the sidewalks, oh by the way the damn thing ran out of gas and now it won’t idle…crap…I did get out to the beach for a swim and some sun and while I was sitting there sipping on my second beer, “home at last” by SD came on and it had a line in it: “could it be that I have found my home at last?” and I sat there and thought “could be”…after all, I love the beach and swimming and today I let myself go and just relaxed there and it is something that I have a really hard time with….stayed out there for 2 1/2 hours and today I was smart and lathered up with 30 sunscreen before I went out so there was just a little sun damage…all in all, a pretty good day where I still accomplished something…have to keep that up Thursday…can’t go tomorrow with the dentist appointment or maybe I can go after? but that will put me out there around 2 and that may be a bit too late…we’ll see…
What’s the endgame?
Well…as I listen to the repub political ads on tv, the question hits me…what’s the endgame for all this MAGA bullshit?They all still believe that the idiot trump was the bestest president in the history of presidentin’ and are content to plug their ears and whistle whenever any evidence (like the January 6th committee evidence) shows that he was a venal criminal who doesn’t give a crap about any of them…and the only thing he has done for them is making the crude, racist assholery that they were forced to hide before acceptable to a small part of the country since he is a crude racist asshole and I guess that makes him their god. I even saw a corvette out here today with the idiots face on the hood and trump 2024 all along the side. But what is their endgame? What do they hope to gain by believing all the lies when acting on them have put thousands of them in jail….and creating a new religion based on MAGA and QANON is going to isolate them even more from the real world society and make them even more susceptible to the demagogue that trump is…after all, he has raised over 300 million dollars from the rubes even after January 6th and this grifting has only slowed a bit…so they give up a nice vacation or a new car to give money to trump? I’m sorry…I don’t like to call people names but this is a sorry lot of losers who actually love being lied to and taken advantage of and I have no sympathy for them at all…they are nasty people who deserve whatever they get…I hope idiot boy ends up will all their money…maybe then they’ll wise up…ha,ha…that mad me laugh..they will never wise up and they will blame everyone else when they end up broke…geez…
July 26th
Well…okay, that was strange…slept through the night and didn’t get out of bed til almost 6:30 and that hasn’t happened in quite a while….and I feel okay this morning other than that nagging headache I’ve had since my allergies flared a couple of months back…but I’ve resisted taking anything for it since I really don’t like taking much ibuprofen or anything else for that matter…still waiting for the dreams to come back after starting another string of days being good but that won’t be til later if the pattern holds from before….didn’t get out to the beach yesterday but I may go out today if it warms up enough but I still think the water is going to be cold and I don’t need that this late in the summer….I do like watching the beach change shape as storms come in and move the sand around…it looks like the lake is trying to go back to where it was before they put all the sand in it and the pond is getting bigger every day…almost to the point of isolating the new sand into kind of a sand bar instead of a beach…another big storm might just do it….not much to do today…finally got the sand out of the car seats yesterday but I will put more in it today if I get out to the beach but that’s okay…I have been looking for macaroni salad recipes to make this week and I want to add that to my meal rotation and I am on the fence about miracle whip or mayo for it….I do think I’m going to add tuna to it so it will have some protein and then I can use it for a meal and not just a side dish…we’ll see….more later….
Worked a little today…
Well…I had really planned to just do a little today but I guess the day got a way from me…I did get the car up on the ramps but it was too big of a pain in the butt to take the belly pan off so I just pulled it aside to look for the leak and couldn’t find it…so I have to think about it for a bit…after I got that done, I had lots of branches that fell during the storm that had to be bundled and put out to be picked up and then I had some overgrowth of the ugly shrubs from next door that were growing into my yard so I got one of the big bags and filled that with the cuttings and even cut off some tomato overgrowth, too, since it was getting away from me….and that was it…I was done for the day so I was….oh, and I washed the car and did two bike rides, too…but tomorrow will be easier…may even go to the beach…
Can we just replace Garland already?
Well…it’s been almost 18 months since the January 6th attacks on our country and we have enough evidence to convict the idiot trump of multiple crimes, so why hasn’t he been charged with anything? Even before the January 6th committee revealed how many crimes he committed, the Mueller report had enough evidence to charge idiot boy with 10 counts of obstruction of justice and that came out 3 years ago…we knew that barr wouldn’t do anything but what about Garland? Why is he letting trump and his criminal cronies run free and continue their attack on this country? Doesn’t he understand that this was a coup attempt and the right response would be to levy charges against all of them and as part of the charges, invoke the 14th amendment prohibition of ever holding office again that was used against the traitors after the civil war? What about the 147 repub members of congress who were part of the coup by voting to not certify the electoral college votes? Why have none of them been subpoenaed to testify to their roles? Many of these same folks are still running for congress and are still spouting the “big lie” that the election was stolen and yet Garland does nothing. Can we just replace Garland already? Can we get someone for AG who understands that the AG’s job is to protect the rule of law in this country and doesn’t just talk about it? As every day goes by with the leaders of the repub party not being held accountable for their criminal behavior just emboldens them and reinforces their belief that they ARE above the law and they will make sure they are after the next election…fish or cut bait, Garland. Geez….
July 25th
Well…damn, that sucked…someone hit a power pole out here and that shut the power down to the whole area around 9:30 last night that lasted until 3:30 in the morning….and the light coming on in the living room woke me and I wandered around here resetting all of the clocks for 15 minutes and noticed I hadn’t loaded the coffee maker so I had to do that so I would have my morning jumpstart…back in bed by 4 and up at around 6 so that gave me about 4 hours with all of the trouble getting to sleep originally and then being up and down all night…but I feel okay this morning with getting back to being good in prep for my checkup next Monday morning….had another skunk in my yard last night and got a good photo of this one with my phone and it wasn’t the big female that was here a few weeks back….and I wouldn’t have noticed it without the power being out and having nothing to do but sit on my front steps….it has cooled off quite a bit out here and the humidity has dropped so it will make for a nice bike ride this morning and I will try to get two in before I get to work on the car….going to run it up on the ramps my brother gave me so that will give me lots of room to work safely under the car….the pan I’m removing is held on by lots of screws so I’m going to use my drill/driver to try to save my shoulder from the strain…then I’m going to drive the car for a few days without it so I can make sure that the leak is from the water pump before I spend 800 bucks on it….not much to do today…just the rides and the car work…probably won’t get out to the beach today since the storm probably turned the lake over again and it will be cold for most of the week…..and that is one of the reasons I like to go…to be able to swim and relax a bit…. but, we’ll see….more later….
How did this happen?
Well…I was almost there…as the rain kept up spitting all morning, I had resigned myself that I was going to take the first day off the bike since April…so I set out to get some other stuff done and I did..cleaned the shower and gave myself a haircut but it had gotten til noon and I was still watching for the rain to stop to maybe get one ride in before the indy car race that was on at 3…so at 12:35 the rain stopped so I got on the bike full expecting to only do one ride…yeah, that didn’t work when I got the first ride done by 1:40 and I knew I could get a second ride in if I didn’t take a break between them…so like the idiot that I am, I blasted a second ride and got back here with 10 minutes to spare and I wonder how the heck I went from taking the day off the bike to doing 30 hard miles with no break in between? I really do need to have a rest day soon…maybe tomorrow since I need to take the belly pan off the car to make sure the coolant leak is coming out of the water pump and not something I can fix…..

Well…damn, it is really hard to not get on the bike first thing in the morning…but it still spitting rain at almost 8 so that doesn’t give me enough time to get out before the F1 race….so it looks like I won’t get out until after the race at 11 and I wonder if I’ll do two rides today? Just noticed that my animal water dish is full to the top after the rain last night and that means it must have rained a couple of inches overnight and we sure needed that….pretty damn depressed today and all I want to do is lie back down on the couch, turn the light off, and melt into it….haven’t done that in a long time and maybe it’s needed? Not sure but I do know that I don’t want to do any more of this right now….more later….
