Well…running a little late today with having to do a grocery run this morning…was completely out of food but now I’m good for another week….and, I had the headlights on for the first time since last November….that’s how little I drive…weird…slept okay last night but feel a little slow today so I think I’ll just ease into the day…and, it’s raining so I’ll have to wait it out before I get on the bike…..I think it is almost two weeks since I’ve had pain in my back and that is weird, too….but I’ll take it….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and it looks like the same today…just don’t have a lot of motivation right now but I’m not sure if I need it…..don’t have a lot to do so I guess motivation is not needed…..more later….

Well….running a little late today and I just forgot this again…got wrapped up in the F1 pre-race show….slept okay last night and had a pretty good day since I made some money selling off some bike parts…had two rear gear sets that were too low geared for me and the money will buy groceries this week…I did notice that some of the stitching on the cars top had broken so I had to repair that….used some cool new adhesive that appears like it worked….going to have to budget for a new top next year…..have been having some problems with my eyes lately and I think it’s from sleeping on them….it seems to be clearing up so I guess I won’t worry about it….I may have to take the day off the bike today since there is rain coming about after the race is over so we’ll see…not really warm enough to get wet on the bike….more later….

Well…not sure if I’m running late or not but it sure feels late….I think I’m in neutral this morning and I’m hoping the coffee will put me in gear….slept okay again last night and that is a relief…was just a little worried that the bad sleep had come back permanently but that didn’t happen…and, I’m not sore at all today so the bike ride will be a good one later…but, it is only 48 outside so the ride will wait for quite a while…need to get out before Man U plays at noon….I have been looking at new bikes and have found one that I am going to buy when the money starts coming in again….and I think I am going to buy a motorcycle…have found a bunch of them for 1K and I really do want to have one more of them before I die…..not much to do today….I should clean a little and I might…but no promises…more later…

Well….was on the bike today and looked down to see 2001 miles on the computer…I hope you get the reference there…this is the fastest I’ve gotten to 2000 miles since the year without a winter, when I was on the bike on New Years day in shorts…so this looks like a year of about 3400 miles by the time the snow flies….one thing I noticed today, and should have noticed earlier, was that there are never any kids riding their bikes….when I was young, and those trails would have been available, they would have been our playground…we would have been out there constantly, making forts and just screwing around all day…I wonder if kids do that anymore?

Well…trying to get started this morning and not having a lot of success…I need coffee…slept okay last night but I feel a little slow today but I earned it and that’s okay….my back still doesn’t hurt so I’m not going to talk about it until it hurts again…had a good day yesterday and got the bathroom finished, finally, but didn’t get a lot else done…figured out that I can make it to the 20th of next month if I sell some bike parts today…have a couple of rear cassettes that I won’t need if I get a new bike…not much to do today…going to continue to clean but the bike ride will have to wait since it is in the 40’s right now and I need it to be 57 to go out without a sweatshirt….more later…..

Well…running about on time today even with doing the grocery run….slept much better last night and had dreams of my Fiat 124 Spyder that I had back in the 70’s…and that was cool…only woke up about 4 times overnight and that is a welcome change from how it has been lately….and my back has been good for over a week now and I am hoping this is the new normal….I did go out and find a new bike yesterday but they will probably be out of them by the time I have the money for it next month…and it is only 339 bucks for all of the features my current bike has…the gold on my current bike has been getting a little dated and I am looking forward to having a black one….a Darth Vader bike…all blacked out with black wheels….not much to do today….I am going to finish the bathroom and do a few other things but there is no soccer to watch so I’ll be a little bored as the day goes on…oh, well…more later….

Well….okay, I stole that title from Monty Python….but, after all trump all the time, it is time for something light that doesn’t mean much….was telling Tom about this a couple of weeks ago….I have been using the same BIC shaver now since the start of June…and it still shaves close and comfortably….normally, they last at best a couple of weeks, but three months? The only thing I can figure out is that their steel supplier made a mistake and hardened the blade steel as it should be…not to the specifications of the company since no shaver company wants their disposable shavers to last three months. So now, we have another contest to see just how long this one will last…any bets?

Well….running really early today with not sleeping at ll last night and just giving up on the entire process at about 5:15…ha, that’s a Who song….had these serial dreams that lasted about an hour each but was up for a half hour in between each one…that makes it about 3 hours of sleep last night but I don’t feel too badly right now…I know I’ll crash later and have to take a nap but I also need to watch Liverpool play in the UCl later today….that will take up some of the boredom this afternoon…had a nice lunch with T yesterday with lots of laughs and it was good to see her as always….it will be nice to have cash coming in next month but the next 4 weeks are going to be a complete shutdown since I’m broke until then…not much to do today…it is pretty cold out right now so I think I’ll wait a while to get on the bike today…and I should complete the bathroom cleaning…oh, the powerball is up to 700 million for tonight..I have my tickets and my fingers crossed….more later….

Well…back to sleeping crappy again and last night was the worst one in quite a while…so, I feel a little crappy this morning even though I was good last night….don’t hurt too much today and it looks like I may have to take the day off the bike with the rain today…I am going out to get some powerball tickets this morning with the jackpot being close to 700 million….that would be cool to win…did get the shower cleaned yesterday…made the mistake of putting my glasses on when I looked at it and could see the work that needed to be done…over 2 hours of work but it looks good now…will do the rest of the bathroom today but that will only take about a half hour….other than that, not much to do today…may have lunch with T but I’m not sure about that…more later….

Well…I have a little problem with all of the breathless reporting that the solar eclipse today was “rare” and a “once in a lifetime event”….since it’s not true….most every year there are at least one total eclipse…this one was a little unusual since it crossed the entire US and lots of people could see it, but it is not rare if you take the entire world into account…in 7 years there will be one that comes onshore near Texas and goes up the east coast to Maine….and in 2026, there will be a 95% eclipse here in GR…and you only have to go a little toward Detroit to see it in totality. The one today was still pretty cool and I took a look at it with a stack of 5 exposed 35 mm films and that worked like a champ…had forgotten all about that method until I saw it on twitter earlier in the day…..
