Well…running a little late today and I just can’t get started…and my arm is sore from getting my flu shot yesterday…but, that’s pretty normal for me…the cool thing is that it didn’t cost me anything…no copay or anything and now I wait for the immunity to build for a few weeks…sure hope the flu doesn’t come around before then…just saw a poll that said that 60% of Americans won’t get a flu shot this year and I just can’t figure that out…I wonder if it has something to do with the idiot trump denigrating the CDC and trying to force a covid vaccine before it’s ready….it probably doesn’t help to have his lying toadies in charge of the health system here…okay…political stuff is supposed to be for other posts so I’ll stop that now….I did get the bathroom faucet repaired yesterday too, it is a bit of a pain to work on a house where nothing has been serviced for 40 years and getting the old cartridge out and the new one in took more hammering than I like to do on old fixtures…but, it doesn’t leak and works nice and smoothly now so I guess the work was worth it…and it only cost 16 bucks so I can live with that…it looks like I’ll be taking the gardens out in the next week or so with the temps getting down into the 30’s overnight…it a shame that I just started to get green peppers on my plants and I have so many tomatoes that haven’t ripened…but I do have a stock of jalapenos in the freezer for use over the winter so that is cool….no much to do today…only got one ride in yesterday with the rain…even got wet on the way back but today looks like it will be a two ride day…I’m in the last 200 miles and need to keep going to make it to 5K….more later…..
Ivanka is involved in the fraud…
Well…yep, the normal repubs are out today with excuses for the idiot trump not paying and taxes for 15 years and they all are basically “rich people don’t pay taxes” and “he’s pretty smart if he can figure out how to not pay taxes”…but with the release of idiot boy’s financial records, it’s not the fact that he didn’t pay taxes but the how he did it…and that gets us to the fraud that oozes out of every page of the information. One of the ways they converted cash on hand into deductible business expenses involved Ivanka getting paid millions in “consulting fees” even though she was an employee…magically turning them into deductions that trump didn’t have to pay taxes on and even offsetting other income by just laundering them through that scam. This is not the first time Ivanka has been involved in shady fraud…there were three other times that she was inches away from being charged and then poof, the charges just went away. But not this time…the whole damn trump family is going to end up in jail…the moron son Eric has been forced to testify this week about his shady dealings with the family business and he is probably going to lie to them and end up being charged with perjury along with fraud….god, I can’t wait for these grifters who have done more to ruin this country that any family in history go to jail for a long, long time….tick tock, donnie…you’re next…
September 28th
Well…yep, I hurt everywhere this morning and it kind of nice to know why for a change…but the strange thing is my arms hurt more than my legs do but they were bad during the ride with cramps so I guess that’s to be expected….I did sleep okay last night and didn’t get up at 3:54….got all the way til almost 5 and then back to sleep until after 6 so I’ll consider that a good night…it’s raining right now so I may be taking today off the bike or at least waiting til later to go….the radar shows that there are breaks in the rain coming so maybe I’ll be able to get on in at some time…that will give me the excuse to go out to depot and get a new cartridge for the bathroom sink…it is really stiff and leaks unless I leave it in exactly the right spot and that annoys the heck out of me….I may get a flu shot today too, I can get one at target for 5 bucks so I should get that done soon….it was nice not getting the flu last year but with all of the precautions we take for covid, I wonder if it’s necessary? I guess 5 bucks is not a bad cost for a little protection. Not much to do today….I think I’ll just ease into the day and have some more coffee right now before I get started…should do some more cleaning if I can’t ride…should do it anyway I guess….more later….
Holy crap! the NYT has trump’s taxes…
Well…the shit is about to hit the fan as it was just posted that the NYT has 15 years of trump’s taxes…and the first takeaway? In 2016 and 2017 the idiot boy paid only 750 dollars in taxes in each year….hmmmm…nice round numbers, and to have the exact same number for two years in a row is really fishy…and come on, I paid more taxes than that on my life insurance payout…in fact over 4 times more than the supposed billionaire paid…and I’m betting that most of you reading this paid way more in taxes than the fraud that sits in the WH. One other tidbit that came out so far is that idiot boy personally owes 300 million dollars in loans that come due in 2022 and he put up most of his property as collateral…I’m curious to see what the valuation of those properties are for those loans compared to what he valued them on his tax returns…you can pretty much be assured that they are not going to match and that is tax and banking fraud right there…and it’s in NYC so there are going to be state charges that he can’t pardon his way out of. Now we know why trump has been tweeting so psychotically all day today…the house of cards of fraud is going to be revealed this week…hey, maga assholes…trump paid less in taxes than you did….and you keep sending him money as he cheats to not pay any taxes…are you stupid or what? Get out the popcorn…
Got my ballot…
Well…in a nice surprise, my ballot for the November election came in the mail yesterday….I am a little excited about getting it filled out and dropped back off but I’m not sure where yet…there are drop boxes right over on Leonard but with the assholes that infest the repub party these days, I wouldn’t put it past them to pour gasoline in the boxes to make sure the ballots can’t be counted. So, I think I may just take a ride downtown and drop it off at the city clerks office in person so no one can screw with it. Okay…that may be hyperbole..a little…look, you have heard me plead with people to get out to vote…and with how easy Michigan has made it with dems in control of the SOS’s office, there really isn’t any reason to not vote…and if you’re here reading this…you probably hate the idiot trump with the white hot passion that I do, and there is still time to get an absentee ballot if you don’t want to vote in person…but damn, you need to vote…just in this election…just this one…this one will determine the fate of this country and everyone should do what they can to save it….and that is NOT hyperbole…please vote….
I shouldn’t feel guilty…
Well…this morning when I got on the bike, I looked at the computer and saw that I only had 46 miles to go to get to 4800 miles and, you know what comes next, I decided to do the 46 miles in one ride and got started…after 40 miles, my legs gave up and I hurt frickin everywhere so I cut the ride short and came home…the thing is, you would think that 40 miles would be enough and there shouldn’t be any guilt from not reaching my initial goal…but, that’s not me…I’ve been sitting here thinking if I should go back out and do another 20 to make up for it…but I’m resisting it after hobbling out to take care of the gardens and feeling the pain in my legs that is everywhere from my hips down to my feet…I guess I have to realize that I’m not young anymore..and I did do 34 miles in one ride yesterday so maybe that’s enough to make the guilt go away? It should…but who knows?
September 27th
Well…hey, I remembered to come here on a Sunday morning for a change…not sure what it is about Sunday but it is always a little hard to remember to do one of these…I wonder if it is reading the physical newspaper? Slept okay last night and I’m not as sore as I expected…I guess my body doesn’t care if I have a break between my two rides or not….my thighs are sore but it just feels like normal so that frees me up to change up what I do with my rides…will probably do another long one today but who knows? I did get the inside of the windows cleaned yesterday…or the new windows, haven’t done any of the original ones yet but that seems like a good project for this afternoon…had the top down on the car for the last time on the run out to get the paper today since the weather is going to change this week and we will be in a fall pattern from now on…some lows are going to be in the 30’s this week and it feels good to know that the furnace here works since it turned on last week and ran fine…one cool thing that happened yesterday was I got an e-mail from the city clerk that my absentee ballot is on the way and I can track it online if I want…so, it should be here in a couple of days and I can fill it out and drop it off at the drop box at the library over on Leonard….not much to do today…just the ride and cleaning some and I may try my new clippers and give myself a haircut….just screwing around mostly…more later….
He’s leaving after the election…
Well…I am damn tired of all the hand wringing as the idiot trump bleats out of his lie hole that he may not leave the WH if he loses the election…hey, I’ve got news for him and for all of the alarmists that think trump is some kind of super genius to talk that way…he’s leaving…on the 21st of January next year, no matter what he says, his control of the government ends..that is written into the constitution and you can bet there will be enough people in the government who will do their jobs and transfer power to Biden…and that will leave trump with nothing but handcuffs and a jail cell in his future…so let’s stop giving idiot boy free publicity by constantly talking about…all the does is normalize trump’s unamerican behavior and makes people think it’s possible he might stay on…it’s not going to happen…especially if we get off our asses and vote to make the election a landslide for Joe….it’s up to us….
Wandering on the bike…
Well…today was really a weird ride on the bike that I never do…usually, I just do the 18 mile ride, come back here to rest a bit, then get back on it for another 14 miles. But today, after the 15 mile mark, the prospect of riding back here and doing the normal routine didn’t appeal to me at all so I just kept going…trying out new trails and new directions to ride the same trails until I got to 34 miles and was pretty sore…my thighs anyway. I’ve ridden that many miles at a time many times but I’m not sure why I did it today…it just seemed like fun to wander around on the bike and keep choosing trails that went away from here instead of back…I still went as hard as I could for the whole time and I am waiting for my legs to start howling at me…they are a little stiff but the pain is not too bad so it appears I didn’t do any permanent damage…but, that doesn’t usually show up til two days later so I guess Monday will be interesting….probably had more fun on the bike today than I’ve had in a long time…maybe I’ll make 30 in one trip the new normal? It sure freed up my afternoon and I used that to do the rest of the windows and it’s only 2…what the heck am I going to do the rest of the day?
September 26th
Well…that’s 3 days in a row of waking up at 4:53 and that is starting to suck…but at least my internet is working this morning so I can do my normal routine and not feel off about that…slept crappy again too, so I am feeling pretty slow today….and I forgot to make coffee last night so I had to do that this morning…not a good way to start the day…my allergies may have something to do with not sleeping even with taking something for it since I am miserable right now and have lots of crap in my lungs….had a whistle in them last night that sounded just like a dove’s call and that was damn annoying…I did get the windows done yesterday and it didn’t take long so that was cool….but I am not going to do much today….not even going to get out on the bike until 10 or so with Man U playing at 7:30, then F1 qualifying at 9….I had to laugh when I was getting a tray of pork chops ready for the freezer and found that there was one that looked more like a pork steak…I mean that thing is like a foot long and 8 inches wide so I put that one and another one that is almost as big into a gallon bag to marinate for today…and I have another tray downstairs since I couldn’t pass them up at 99 cents a pound….but that tray will fill my freezer again so I need to not buy any more protein for a couple of weeks…not much to do today…just going to wing it and try not to have a schedule…I do need to toast a bagel here in a few minutes since I missed one yesterday….more later….
