Well….feel pretty crappy this morning and I wonder if it’s a day that I can take off and not work out and ride….slept really crappy last night and was up at 5:30 so I’m hoping there will be a nap involved later this morning….lost my earplugs overnight and I think that is part of it…haven’t been taking anything for the allergies and I think I should be…my head is filled up this morning and the headaches are starting…had one yesterday that felt like a stroke it hurt so much for a couple of minutes….didn’t get anything done yesterday but I am going to try to do the kitchen today…but maybe not…we’ll see….

Well…there were a couple of things that happened on the trail today that I almost forgot about….not sure why that would be but I’m not going to dwell on it….at the top of the first climb that goes to the highest point along M-6…where I make my first water stop…I looked off in the distance and there was a helicopter hovering maybe a couple of thousand feet in the air…I watched it for a few minutes and it just stayed in one place until it moved off….not sure why it would do that since it was not carrying anything that I could see…oh, well…the next thing was that I came on a garter snake that was just warming itself on the pavement…and, of course, I had to pick it up…I just love the way snakes feel..that silky feeling…when I grabbed him, I broke into laughing since he tried to bite me multiple times…I’m not sure if he realized that he has no teeth or fangs or that his head is about the size of my pinkie fingernail but he kept it up until I grabbed him behind his head…then he calmed down and just looked at me while flicking his tongue……a pretty cool encounter…l made sure he was safe in the weeds when I let him go….I’m not sure why I didn’t remember this stuff until right now…..

Well…running a little late today…just can’t get started but the coffee is helping…a little…slept okay last night but there were no dreams to speak of….I’m still struggling with back pain today but don’t have too much other pain…I did go hard on the bike yesterday and I’m feeling that today….didn’t win the powerball last night but no one else did either…so it will be almost 400 mil for weds…..didn’t clean yesterday but will do that today….the kitchen is littered with dead ants that need to be gone and the surfaces need to be cleaned, too…so that will be the goal for the day…..it’s already over 65 so I can get on the bike as soon as I want…but there needs to be more coffee before that…more later….

Well….running about on time today for this, but I’ve been up since really early and just can’t get started….just poured the first cup of coffee and had the first sip so I guess I’ll have to wait a while….had a nice day yesterday with a top down run out and back for pool…which ended up in a tie for the first time in a while…even got a little color from the drive even with sunscreen on….and that won’t help to even out the bike tan that is looking quite weird…don’t have a lot to do today other than clean and watch the champions league final this aft…but that will be later, now I need to have more coffee and get ready to get on the bike….more later….

Well….running a little early today…how the heck can you be bored at 7:25 in the morning? Oh, well….had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done…again….but, I am going to wash the car this morning…that will probably be my accomplishment for the day since I’m hoping we shoot pool today…I think I may have cured my ant problem but I still have a few of them on the kitchen floor…they’re dead but they are still there…I do need to cook today since I don’t have any leftovers and I am going to try the new broiler on some ribs….woke up a little creaky today so I think I’ll take some ibuprofen before I get on the bike…should help with the cramps in my calves, too….not sure why but I had them just lying in bed last night and that is annoying…more later….

Well…running a little late today with doing the grocery run and reading a real newspaper today….I did get a few things done yesterday and finally have a clean bathroom…but, I’m now fighting some big black ants that showed up a couple of days back…sprayed around the doors and in the kitchen and now I’m waiting to see if that worked….I did get the top down on the car this morning and that was cool…and I almost have the parking brake fixed..it just takes a little tug and it releases now so I’m on the right path…..and the new rear brakes are bedding in so I have much better brakes now….don’t have  a lot to do today but more cleaning….and the normal stuff….the car needs to washed again with all of the dust around but I think I’ll wait until tomorrow to do it….it will just be dusty again in about an hour so I’m not sure why I keep doing it….more later….

Well…running a little early today since I got up early…again…and I am having a hard time getting moving without coffee…not that I’m not having coffee….just that it hasn’t started to work yet….I did get some stuff done on the car yesterday…finally got to the driver’s side rear caliper with the penetrating oil and then decided to do all of the bushings since I have a little groan in them when I get in the car…but the groan could be the new pads making noise…still only have about 20 miles on them in the week since I put them on….the new brake smell has gone away so that is cool….didn’t get a lot else done yesterday…so I will have to today….but I have to get me hair cut this morning and then the normal stuff first….more later….

Well…with getting to 954 miles for the year on the bike this morning, that makes it 30,000 miles on the Motobecane….I think I’ll keep riding it until the rear swingarm falls off…maybe the new goal should be 50K? I did have some parts that wore out over the past 5,000 miles:

1 rear shift cable

2 rear tires

3 rear tubes

1 front tire

and a pair of Asics gel running shoes…

Well…now I’m sore from the good bike ride yesterday and I will have to take ibuprofen this morning….it was kind of a boring day yesterday and I didn’t get anything done…and I don’t feel bad about it…I should, but I don’t….I do think I’ll clean some around here today and then get more resumes out….what a boring day this is shaping up to be….just like yesterday….oh, well….I should work on the car…okay…not feeling this at all right now so I think I’ll stop here and come back later to add to it….more later…

Well….with this being another day of boredom….I just thought I’d noodle here a bit to get me into the night…I may have fixed the handbrake on the car…almost at least…it releases some of the time the first time and if not, I just give it a little tug and it releases fine….I do need to get back into the driver’s side with the penetrating oil but I think I may have to do the bushings again since the car squeaked when I sat in it going to wash it today….had to do that when I first got it with the front so I guess I should do the back bushings now…had a great bike ride today and I’m not really sore…it was so much fun just blasting around with it…made me feel like I did when I was a kid….and lots of people waved at me on the trail today…that always lifts my spirits some….I was going to do some political stuff today but didn’t out of respect for memorial day….but, I will be back tomorrow with all of the crap the freak in the WH did today…..
