Well…sitting here waiting for the maintenance guys to come to look at my washer and thought I’d talk a little about a new development in the constant attempt by the idiot trump and his idiot NSA John Bolton to lie us into war with Iran. If you remember, Bolton was instrumental in lying us into war with Iraq pushing the WMD bullshit and how did that turn out? 7 trillion dollars later we have a barely stable Iraq that is more closely allied with Iran every day and none of Bolton’s or Cheney’s predictions were even remotely true….and now he is pushing trump into more war crimes in the middle east with the lies that Iran is building up to attacking the US. When this bullshit was presented to our truth based allies, they all laughed in Mike Pompeo’s face and told him bluntly that they are misinterpreting the intelligence and they will not go along with any attack on Iran…and will even condemn the attack in the UN and side with Iran. I wonder how happy Putin is with this latest wedge driven between the US an Europe by their installed puppet trump? Putin seems to be getting everything he wanted by elevating idiot boy…and I can see that smirk on his face that says he can’t believe how well his intelligence operation worked. No one in the world believes anything trump or his administration says anymore…can we have a little more winning please? Impeach…
May 20th
Well…running about on time today with getting up a little after 6 and don’t feel too bad…just a little worn out but my legs don’t hurt much so taking the day off the bike was a good idea…I really can’t remember having to have the heat on this late in May but it is only 44 degrees outside and, without it, it would be about 65 in here and that is just too darn cold for me…my washing machine gave up the ghost yesterday so I had to put in a request for them to install a new one today and I hope they do the dryer, too…I could use some new appliances for my last year here…but that means I have to clean a little before they come…and make sure that they can get it done easily so my disruption is a little as possible…so that will put the bike ride off until this afternoon and that’s okay since it is going to be cold until then…I took the day completely off yesterday and got nothing done so I will have a few things to get done today….I do have to cook at least one meal today since I still have instant pot leftovers and then need to plan some for the rest of the week…probably will run the instant pot again tomorrow with some chicken so I can free up some space in my freezer….I do need to figure out some new food since chicken is getting really boring but I’m not sure what that would be right now…more later…
109 miles to go…
Well…hmmm…it’s a lot harder to not ride than I thought it would be…have been staring at the radar all morning trying to see if there is going to be a break that I can fit in an hour…but, I need to take a day off today with how flat my legs were on the second ride yesterday…but, that’s not what this is about…over the years, you’ve heard me talk about various personal records that I have done on the bike and I only have one more to set or break…in 109 more miles this month, I will finally get to better than 500 miles in a single month…as you remember, I got to 1000 miles for the first time before May 1st this year and that crazy riding has continued for the first three weeks of the month…and that leaves me with 12 days to ride the 109 miles I need to get there….that is one of the reasons I am having such a hard time sitting here and healing today…I know it should be pretty easy to get there if I keep up doing doubles every day but it looks like rain every day this week so there will be some dodging of raindrops necessary…that will leave me with no other goals other than trying to get to 4,000 miles for the year but I’m not sure I can get there…we’ll see…
May 19th
Well….damn near forgot to come here to do this one this morning…again…and I think part of it is the distraction of having a real newspaper to read on Sunday mornings…slept okay last night and don’t feel too bad today other than a little stiffness from riding too much over the past week…just did three days of 30 milers and 6 of the past 7 days of double rides so I am rooting for storms today so I can take a day off…I shouldn’t have to have an excuse to take care of my legs but you know how my guilt won’t allow me to do it…just looking at the radar to see if there is going to be a hole that I can get out in and I shouldn’t be…read an article the other day that explains the exhaustion I’ve been feeling and it all comes down to my body screaming at me that it needs some healing time…it even recommended taking 2-3 days off but that is never going to happen…I did fire up the instant pot yesterday to make some chicken leg quarters and they came out great so I don’t have to cook today or tomorrow and that will leave me kind of bored today so I guess I’ll have to clean some….but not yet…still on the first cup of coffee and need it to work more before I want to do anything…more later…
Crooked damn Michigan republicans…
Well…I guess the will of the people means nothing to Michigan republicans…of course, we knew that with their continued efforts to rig elections here to make sure they control the state when they get massively less votes in every damn election. The latest from these anti-American assholes sees them trying to destroy the constitutional amendment that would undo their partisan gerrymandering and that was approved by 61% of the voters here that would take the drawing of congressional districts out of the hands of these cheaters and put it into the hands of a bipartisan commission that would draw the lines fairly…but no, the repubs know that fairly drawn districts would put them permanently in the minority here so, of course, they are trying to defeat the Michigan constitution by refusing to fund the commission, trying their best to prevent our democracy from functioning for purely partisan bullshit. Now, since we control the governorship and the attorney general’s offices here, we can stop them from passing any of this last gasp of cheating by the repubs…but why should we have to? Why do we have to put up with the repub party here never ever doing anything to solve the problems we have here but just continual naked power grabs that make life here worse. We need to throw every damn one of them out and burn that party to the ground….
May 18th
Well…damn it was a little cold when I got up again this morning since I forgot to put the heat on last night…and I slept in all the way to 6:03…yeah, that’s a little sarcasm…I do remember sleeping in back in the olden days when I would get up and it was 9 or 10 but I wonder if it was a real memory or not it has been so long? Oh, well….I did get two bike rides in yesterday but don’t think I’ll attempt the double today…although my legs feel okay today with very little pain so maybe…I think it will depend on the rain and when it comes and goes…I was a little surprised how hard it was raining when I got up but it looks like it will be moving out in a while so I can get out before 10…want to get that done early today since I am going to make some chicken in the instant pot for lunch that I got for 49 cents a pound this week…and now I have no room at all in the freezer so I won’t have to buy any protein next week…10 pounds is a lot of chicken…not much to do today…going to clean some and then just fool around most of the day…more later….

Well…yeah, I’m a little late today with getting a second ride in just a few minutes ago, but I did want to talk a little about the moron in chief and his bleating that his campaign was “spied” on during the 2016 election…hey, idiot boy…it wasn’t spying, it was a criminal investigation of the criminals that you surrounded yourself with…and no amount of lying by you or by your toady Barr is going to change that. One other thing, facts are facts and it is a fact that damn near everyone on your campaign met with the Russians to try to get their help to elect you…and yes, there was collusion and the only way you got away with it was that your criminal minions destroyed enough evidence that Mueller couldn’t meet the DOJ rules for indicting your ass….so, media, stop parroting this frickin idiot’s “spying” bullshit and tell the truth…and no, both sides don’t do it…only this criminal colluded with the Russians, only this idiot obstructed justice at least 10 times during the Mueller investigation…oh, and by the way…it was revealed just yesterday that trump and his buddies in the congress…I’m talking to you, Devin Nunes…obstructed justice during the Mike Flynn debacle, too…can there be any reason left to not impeach this asshole? Well…okay…that was weird…slept all the way through the night last night from 11 to 6 this morning and I can’t remember the last time that happened…but, I feel pretty crappy this morning and I know why that is and it’s my fault…the coffee better start working soon or my whole day is going to be be off kilter…I think it already is since I can’t think of anything to write…it is a fresh coffee day with my largest coffee cup fueling me and that still is not enough…okay, I’ll stop whining now….forgot to turn the heat back on last night and it was a little cold in here this morning but that may have been part of why I slept okay last night but, who knows? I did get the car cleaned yesterday and I got a 30 miler in on the bike so today will be a short one…trying out the new plan of alternating long and short days and it appears to be working since my legs feel okay today…and the second ride was good yesterday…didn’t feel like my legs were made of concrete…they do hurt some today but that is pretty normal…not much to do today…I do need to run the instant pot with some chicken leg quarters but I’m not motivated at all right now so maybe not…more later….
Too depressed to write about politics…
Well…that title may be a little misleading…I AM depressed about politics and how the repubs are killing this country, but I’m not depressed about anything else…I just don’t want to write about it today…well…maybe later but not right now…had a pretty pleasant surprise the other day when I stumbled on the Led Zeppelin concert film ‘The song Remains the Same” on AXS tv while I was just a little bored and running through the channels…damn good to see them from the same year that I saw them live in Chicago in January of 75…and it was pretty funny seeing Jimmy Page using a theremin on stage when I just saw Joe Bonamassa do the same thing in a concert from a couple of years ago….if he comes to the area, I will probably spend the cash to go see him since he plays the kind of rock, blues, funk that I like….what else? Oh, I did get the spring cleaning of the car done today just in time for it to start raining in a few minutes but I knew that was coming over the next few days and I don’t care…the inside of the glass will stay clean even if it rains and I like the way it looks with the water beading on the paint from waxing it and the glass from the Rain X I applied to it today…hmmm…that’s enough for now….I want to take it easy for a while since I’ve been on the go since 6:30 this morning….more later…
May 16th
Well…running really early this morning with getting to this at 5:44 but I have a reason for it…have a busy morning set up with the grocery run…then I have to wash and wax the car and do the first total cleaning of the interior and the glass…then I need to get a bike ride in before it rains…it’s supposed to be a two ride day today and it might be since I just checked the weather and the rain is holding off until around 4 this afternoon and it is going to be 75 today…don’t want to waste a day like that…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done since I felt like crap most of the day…just no energy again and that is getting annoying…I know I’m doing it to myself by not eating enough but I think there may be something else going on…not sure what that would be but I am going to try to eat more today and see if that helps…I did get out and get some cheap chicken at DD..couldn’t pass that up at 49 cents a pound but now I have 10 pounds of leg quarters in the fridge that I have to partially thaw so I can break it up and freeze some…don’t think I’ll get to anything else today but there is going to be lots of rain the next few days so I’ll have plenty of time to clean….more later….
