Well…with the heat and humidity here today, I took a lazy day after I got two rides in early this morning…I did read an entire book and started another one this aft and that fit keeping the exertion level down…didn’t even do any more windows today since I was soaked doing the 5 I did yesterday…didn’t even want to eat so all I had today was a turkey sandwich and an ear of corn…but that was enough for such a low energy day…we have gone from cold straight into summer and it looks like 80’s for the next 10 days at least…should probably do some meal planning tomorrow and get something out of the freezer to cook later…I am planning on going to the beach tomorrow after the rides…and start to get some color since my hands are white and look pretty funny…okay, back to the race….
Stupid, stupid war…
Well…it looks like the idiot in chief has bumbled us into a war with Iran by attacking their nuclear sites yesterday…and guess what the first effect was? To make putin stronger as he told North Korea to give nukes to Iran…this whole thing started when idiot boy tore up the Obama negotiated JCOP treaty that limited Iran’s nuke program in his first term that was really working…so then, of course, Iran immediately started to enrich uranium again and were close to having enough to assemble a bomb….and they still are since the Israeli attacks or idiot boy’s didn’t destroy the uranium stockpiles they already had…and now you can bet that putin will seize this moment to make sure that Iran gets nukes…and of course the idiot won’t say anything to his buddy putin….he is just a little puppy dog to him and he can manipulate the hell out of him…so now we spend a couple of hundred million dollars to do nothing as the repub assholes sit there trying to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and SS to pay for it…geez…
June 22nd
Well…damn, that was a day yesterday with the wind blowing like crazy all day…not sure if I’ve ever seen that before but it’s better today so I’ll be out on the bike as soon as it gets light…still will probably only do 25 miles as the wind picks up again…pretty damn tired this morning with getting up at 4 and the out of bed at 5:40…forgot to set the coffee maker up last night and that was a lot of work to do it when I got up….up to 612 days in a row on the bike and I think the goal is now to get to 1,000 or more….it is so damn humid here right now that I am sweating just sitting here so I’ll be soaked when I get off the bike….it’s going to be a difficult week for weather with it almost 90 every day…and it’s almost 75 at 6:15 so there is nowhere to go but up…not sure what I’m going to do today and I should do more windows but I may just shift into survival mode with the heat…not sure what I’m going to eat today but I know I’m not going to cook…maybe a turkey sandwich and a dog…who knows? Way too much wind…
Well…starting this morning, the wind has been blowing like crazy out here and we have had gusts of 60mph along with the steady 30 mph wind…and it is HOT outside with a heat index of 101…and I’ll be picking up branches in the yard tomorrow…I did get 5 windows cleaned and shiny and I have all of them open using the wind to try to cool this joint off…it’s a little funny that the first day of summer would be so hot and it’s going to stay that way until Thurs or so…maybe this heat will warm Lake Michigan up so I can get a swim in later in the week…I am going to the beach Monday so I’ll give it a try then….the wind was brutal on the bike rides this morning and I only did two of them it was so bad…will have to get back to 3 rides a day soon or I know I’m going to feel like a slug…have the big fan on as fast as it goes and I’ll have to put the small fan on me in my bedroom to be able to sleep at all…okay, end of a race and then some tv…
June 21st
Well…up at 5:45 this morning and the wind is already blowing like crazy so the rides are going to be a lot of effort…there is a heat advisory on for today with the temp getting up to almost 90 and lots of humidity so the fans will be running today…but right now the breeze feels good in here and the coffee needs to work so I can get going…I should think about buying a new AC unit for my bedroom window but I think I’ll just leave the window open…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I should clean windows today to open this joint up with how hot it’s going to be for the next week….not sure what food I’m going to have this weekend…have bacon for a blt and I thawed some smoked turkey to make a sandwich with lettuce and tomato…and I still have corn on the cob and potato salad so I won’t starve…just got a high wind warning on my weather widget so I need to get out here soon…not much to do today…just need to get the coffee down and get moving…more later…
Damn body…
Well…you know getting old is not for the faint hearted…when I got on the bike early today, every damn part of me hurt and I couldn’t believe it was just from doing some yard work yesterday…my right hip hurt so bad that I thought I was going to have to turn around and skip the rides…and my right tricep howled the whole time…hit the library for new books and then ran some errands and I think I’m getting the new car figured out…it drives so differently than the old one but I actually had fun just fooling around with it…it looks like we have a heat wave coming for the first day of summer tomorrow and all next week…87 for highs so I am going to hit the beach Monday…the wind is going to be nuts over the weekend blowing 20-30 with gusts of 50 so I’ll have to be out on the bike at first light to avoid them…or do indoor rides but I’d rather ride outdoors…okay, time for some tv…

Well…with ICE thugs kidnapping people off the streets all across this country, everyone needs to resist these masked fascists at every turn..and the LA Dodgers baseball team showed how it’s done yesterday when ICE wanted to use their parking lot as a staging area for mass arrests of people going to the baseball game and they said no…they did not allow these warrantless searches and kidnapping to happen on their property…and we know how the idiot trump is going to react to this…he is going to try to find a way to punish the team for doing the right thing…and that will be at the head of another impeachment once we take back the house in 2026…and that IS going to happen…and if we take the senate and can get a few repubs who care more for the country…okay, I can’t write that…there are no repubs like that anymore…they are all maga assholes or they would have done something about idiot boy already…geez…

Well…I wonder how the heck I can be running late at 6:25 in the morning? Need to be on the bike by 7am to get two rides in before I head out to the library for 3 new books…just started the coffee and it’s not working at all yet…ick…I can’t believe how sore I was after the yard work yesterday…I could barely move I was so stiff and it’s probably going to get worse as I get older….oh, well…at least I don’t have yard work to do today…but I really should get on the windows since they are full of dirt…at least the kitchen but that seems to be too much work right now…it’s going to be in the upper 80’s this weekend and into next week so there will be trips to the beach starting Monday….I still have the coating on my tongue and will need more treatment after I get the dangerous freckle removed Tuesday…man, it’s hard getting old…going to make a blt today to go with the dog and I need to plan meals for the weekend…should make Masala but I’m not sure if I want to make that much effort…not much to do today…just need to get off my butt and get the rides going and I only have 16 minutes to get it done…more later…
Too damn busy..
Well…it has been one of those days that has left my sore and hobbling around here this afternoon…it all started at 7am with the bike rides…only two today…then I uncovered the old car and fired it up to make sure it still runs…put an old expired plate on it so I could drive it around the block and clear the rust off the discs…I let it run while I mowed where the car has been sitting and then parked it back there and re-covered it…the got the string trimmer out and did the whole yard…then fed the lawn and mowed it…and did the weed walk…during that I had to take my trimmers and trim the mulberry tree so I could walk under it again…the branches were so heavy with berries they almost touched the ground…then I pulled more weeds out of the front of the house and finished up around 11:30…by that time I was used up even with it only being 4 1/2 hours of work…damn, I’m getting old…but I do have the yard done until late next week…so now I’m going to read a bit…

Well…as I was looking for a topic for this afternoon, I came across a transcript of idiot boy’s comments as he was dedicating his new 100 foot flagpole on grounds of the WH…it is one of the weirdest things I’ve ever read and shows the cognitive decline that the media won’t report on…hell, even some WH staffers think he’s not up to being president and is so much worse than his first term…more impulsive, more angry, and more idiotic than he has ever been and they truly think he is going to charge into a war with Iran just to distract Americans from all of his failures…and after his performance at the g7 conference this week, there is a good case for his removal using the 25th amendment soon…but the damage he is going to do before that is already happening across the country…so I guess we hunker down and wait it out…crap…geez…
