Well…with the criminal in the White House edging ever closer to obstructing justice even more than he already has by trying to get the justice department to fire Mueller, and with the repubs in congress ignoring their responsibilities by aiding and abetting this attack, we move on to the next phase for us as concerned citizens…and that is to take it to streets in massive protests that will shut this country down until the criminal is removed. Now, it has been many, many years since I have taken part in active protests…the last one when I was in high school and walked out to protest the Vietnam war and the lies we were being told on a daily basis…and I am no longer young, but I will be joining them next Friday when the idiot trump is going to try to subvert the rule of law by firing Mueller….and this will just be the beginning, next year we need to vote every damn repub out of office since they have shown that they don’t believe in democracy anymore….with their voter suppression, their payoffs to the 1%, and their constant lies, the cancer on this country that is the repub party needs to be cut out and I am going to do my part….I have my warm clothes out and I will be on the front lines come Friday…and every person who cares about this country should join me…it’s almost too late….impeach….
December 17th
Well…I’m already tired of it being so damn cold lately…I’m almost in hunker down mode and have started to count the weeks until March…slept okay last night but still feel worn out today so it looks like I’ll just take it easy for a while until the coffee starts to work….have been fighting cracks in my heels already this year and that normally doesn’t start until later in winter…it’s not even officially winter yet and it seems like it has been snowing and cold forever…okay…no more obsessing about that….it’s warm in here, after all, and I really don’t have much to bitch about….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but laundry so today I’ll have to clean some…no cooking since I have leftovers and I am trying to limit calories, again….more later….
December 16th
Well…sitting here waiting for soccer to start and thought I’d get this one done….it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get a lot done…slept okay last night and don’t feel anywhere as bad as I should…I was not good last night, as you can probably figure out….and my back is still not hurting at all so maybe I can stop thinking about it….I did cook a big ham that I got Thursday…I know ham is not good for me but how can you pass up a spiral sliced one for 97 cents a pound? I can tell I’m going to be grumpy with the weather being so crappy I can’t ride the bike….not sure if I can start to hibernate yet but it’s looking more and more like I am going to have to…..not much to do today…going to clean a little but no cooking today…and I have laundry to do…another kind of boring day….more later….

Well…sitting here trying to come up with a topic without much luck so far…so, I guess I’ll just talk for a while and see what happens…I did see the Space X launch today and it was pretty cool…they even had a long distance shot of the maneuver that the first stage makes when it starts the descent process…and then they had the onboard camera showing it landing and it was so clear you could see the smoke trail from the launch as it came down…pretty darn cool. Oh, the repubs tax giveaway is going to be released late today and these idiots want to vote on it Monday…giving interested parties only two days to go over the 500 pages and figure out just how bad it is….even more of a reason for us to get out to vote next year so we can undo this monstrosity….hmmm.. what else? Not much right now, I guess….trying to stay away from the news a little today so I don’t have much to say right now…more later….
December 15th
Well..running a little later today since I didn’t get up until after 7 today….and that is a little unusual…slept okay last night and I am wondering why there have been no dreams for months now…oh, well….have been feeling slow with not being on the bike for a week now and it looks like I’m done for the year….winter just started way too early this year and I’m not really happy about that…I did get over 3100 miles in for the year and that makes it a good one….I am going to buy the new bike in January but I still need to take the Motobecane apart and strip the good parts off it….and find a place to store them…not too much room around here….not much to do today…I did clean the kitchen some yesterday and I hope to continue the cleaning today….more later….
This is huge and no one noticed….
Well…with all of the election coverage of our great win in Alabama, a huge occurrence happened here in Michigan an no one really noticed. Just this week, petition signatures were approved that puts non-partisan redistricting on the ballot for 2018….yep, you heard that right, this proposal would take the 2020 redistricting out of the hands of the repubs who have cheated through gerrymandering to maintain their strangle hold on Michigan politics even though they have gotten many less votes…and now, that is going away if we can pass this citizen fueled effort on the ballot. One of the things that people must understand is the only reason that the repubs control the government is that they cheat…without the ability to cheat, they would be the minority party they deserve to be…and I don’t mind that this same gerrymandering would be prevented when the dems take control in the future…why wouldn’t anyone with ethics and honor want our elections to be fair? With the court cases across the country that are throwing out the repub drawn maps almost daily, and now with referendums that will force fairly drawn maps, we are finally turning the tide from the repub cheaters and taking back our democracy from the big money that props up these cheaters….it’s about damn time….

Well….running normally for a Thursday…even possibly a little early since it is before 8…it is damn cold out there with the temp only 5 degrees but my car started fine so that was cool…okay, the temp has just dropped to 3…brrrr….slept okay last night and feel pretty good this morning with getting the grocery run done…I’ve never seen my fridge with less food in it than this morning…and that worked out just right since I bought a 9 pound spiral sliced ham and that will keep me going for more than a week….I do need to vary what I’ve been eating…going to make pasta today and may even wait to heat the ham until tomorrow….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I think I do need to clean today…but, coffee first and some news…more later…
The trumps really are idiots…
Well….still bored today since the space x launch has been postponed until Friday…but, I did want to comment on a little article that I just read about the idiot trumps….it seems that there was an election for mayor of New York in November that the idiots tried to vote in but they are all so damn dumb that not one of them who tried to fill out absentee ballots got it right….so, these supposed geniuses…the “best people” couldn’t follow the instructions that are written for a 6th grade level education…man, are these people stupid….

Well…sitting here still a little bored today and wondering if it is too weird to be geeked up about the Space X launch that is going to happen in about an hour. This will be the first time the entire rocket and capsule will be used ones and the booster will be landed back on the cape…and it is going to be streamed live on their website that I already have up with a little countdown counter in the corner…okay, I’m more that a little bored but this will help with that….
Yay for Alabama….
Well….as promised, I’m back with some comments on the senate election in Alabama that was held yesterday and the stunning upset that saw the dem, Doug Jones, defeat the child molester, Roy Moore. One of the problems I saw from this race was that there was almost no policy discussions during the campaign, but just the standard, cliched, demonization of Jones when the repubs tried to paint him as a tax and spend liberal…even trying to use Nancy Pelosi as the boogyman to scare voters into voting for Moore. But, none of that could overcome the fact that Moore is probably the worst candidate they could have run…being tossed out of the Alabama supreme court twice for misconduct and for his statements that being gay should be against the law among all the other bigoted crap that came out of his mouth. I think the fact that the idiot trump supported Moore also weighed in the loss and gives me hope that trump will be the anchor the sinks the repubs next year. So, let’s bask in the win for just a little while but then get back to work building a truly diverse coalition that will win us the house and possibly the senate next year…congrats Doug!
