Well…it was a day yesterday and I got a bunch of stuff done…even started to clean and that is something I’ll continue today…even going to cook today…pork loin with mushroom sauce, carrots and potatoes….but, first, I want to get out on the bike and see how the repair worked…it looks like it is a much better job than the last time and I hope it lasts more than a week….slept okay last night but still no dreams so nothing to report…okay, this one is going to be short for now since I am really want to get out on the bike and see how it works….more later…

Might be cheating….not sure…
Well….it has been a day today and I have been trying to find a topic that would mean something but with no luck…so, maybe I’ll just start and see where it goes…I did have to work on the bike again today and re-do the fiberglass since it had started to de-laminate…this time, I did 5 layers all at once so it will be a monolithic block…and, I went out and bought a new, longer seat post that will take advantage of the part of the downtube that is not cracked…and this post is pretty cool…you can adjust the tilt of the seat that I couldn’t do with the last one…pretty cool…maybe it won’t hurt to ride as much…or pinch the nerves for my legs…haven’t heard from T today and that is really unusual with how it has been going lately…oh, well…I’ll live through it…I did get to see the first Man U game today since it was on NBC and not NBCSN…but, I’m not planning on even looking for them anymore…cold turkey will be better since most of the rest of them will be on the stupid channel….I did get to watch a couple of races today so that was cool…and I did get the start of the cleaning done that I will continue tomorrow so I feel good about that, too…not much else to say right now….okay….maybe this one was cheating…but, with the entire government on vacation…no one is doing anything stupid…
August 17th
Well…running normally this morning and need to get this one done before I get out on the bike….it was an okay day yesterday but I don’t remember who won at pool so I won’t comment on that…slept okay but that is all there is to report on that…no dreams to speak of but I haven’t tried to remember them lately…I so need to get going to get on the bike….not much to do today…I am going to watch a couple of races and try to get the kitchen floor done but I don’t have to cook today so that will make it easier…pork loin tomorrow so that will be something to look forward to…more later…
Trying to stay ahead…
Well…it has been a long day with trying to go across town and having it take an hour and a half and a quarter of a tank of gas…but, that’s not what this is about…it is just a short one about a really neat thing that is happening at repub town hall meetings…the idiot repubs are trying to run on and are proud of repealing the ACA….the problem is that the people they represent are having none of it…asking one rep in Florida to stop lying about the ACA and then putting him on the spot with what he would replace it with…nothing but fricking silence from the idiot….so, I think as people get to understand more and more of the benefits of the ACA…the repubs are going to be in trouble…can’t happen to a crappier bunch of folks…geez…
August 16th
Well…running a little late this morning and it is just that I don’t need to be in a hurry on Fridays…it’s a no work out day so all I have to do is get on the bike in a few minutes…I do have to do some repairs to get the squeak out again but that takes about a minute so I can just take it easy…it was a good day yesterday with a long HH with T and lots of laughs and the car has just been transformed with the clutch fix…just so much more fun to drive now that it shifts right…slept okay, too, and that is a big plus…I did get out to Target and picked up an all in one printer yesterday…a wireless printer, scanner, copier for only 35 bucks…can’t even buy the ink for that price…pretty cool but I’ve never owned an Epson so we’ll see how that works..not much to do today…out for pool later but that is about it…and another one of these, too…more later…
Hypocrites again….
Well…I find the recent normal of the repubs hating something (like gay rights) until it affects themselves or their own family, to be just another indicator that they have no moral center left at all. The latest version of this hypocritical nonsense lies with the reps from Arizona who all voted against the relief for the victims of hurricane Sandy…the millions of people who live in the heathen northeast, and are now having a pissing match with FEMA since they won’t send aid for the wildfire damage that happened in Arizona. Now, you might think this would be payback for their just general nastiness since these folks just hate everyone…but the damage is small enough for the state to handle and that is just what FEMA said…but these idiots, who preach that the states should run everything in their state without federal interference, are just trying to force the costs of firing firefighters that they don’t want to pay for and the resulting damage on the federal government…tough luck, McCain…and Flake…remember Detroit when you continue your whining and the fact that you said you’d block any aid while they restructure…karma’s a bitch….geez…
August 15th
Well…running late again today and there is no reason for it, really…just wanted to lie on the couch instead…but, I’m here and ready to go now…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get the chance to take the Miata out for a long, top down drive which was fun…I can’t believe how much nicer the car feels with the clutch working properly and no notchiness in the shifter…slept okay, too, so that is a good thing…and I had a little bit of luck taking the bike out yesterday…when I got on it the computer was not working so I stopped to check it out and found the magnetic trigger had come loose and was barely hanging on…if it would have fallen off on the trail, it would certainly have been lost…not much to do today…I do need to get moving to get the workout in and there may be a HH with T later but that is about it….more later…
What the hell is wrong with Kansas?
Well…just got back from a drive int he car and read this jaw dropping piece of crap out of Kansas…an anti-abortion protester whose group has been behind the efforts to close the last clinic there has come up with a novel idea….he went to the Kansas City city council and told them that the clinic should be closed since there could be “gun violence” there with the escorts of the women needing these services being armed…no matter that all of the gun violence there has been by people from the anti groups shooting the doctors that perform this service….what this amounts to is the old protection racket the the mob used to do…close down these clinics or we won’t be responsible for what happens to them…and it’s not our fault if someone shoots someone associated with the clinic…wink, wink…what this ass is saying is a blatant threat that another crazy will take as a call to action…he should be arrested at least for inciting violence or even for incitement to murder….when are the rest of the people in that state going to tire of this kind of crap? That some crazy assed religious nut can impose his crazy assed religion on everyone? I’ve had enough of this crap…geez..
August 14th
Well…running late today since it is grocery day and that does take some time….what the hell is going on with the weather here in GR? I mean, 47 degrees in August? And only in the 70’s for highs? August is supposed to be high humidity and 90’s as the summer winds down…I hear it is supposed to get back to normal next week so that will be the week to get out to GH. It was an okay day yesterday and I got the car cleaned and waxed but not much else done….I am still so sore that doing anything that is too strenuous is really a pain…I guess I’ll have to remember the ibuprofen in the mornings to try to get the tendon swelling down…slept okay last night and the new tenant upstairs is not an A/C junkie like the last one so that keeps it pretty quiet at night…not much to do today…just the normal stuff of workout, riding the bike, and cooking…the kitchen floor need a scrubbing and I may get to that today…maybe not…more later…
Even the stupid is bigger in Texas…
Well…after the supreme court gutted the voting rights act and about an hour later the Texas repubs passed a law that would disenfranchise many, many Texans (all democratic I might add), the fallout was a suit by the AG to try to stop the shenanigans. I am just laughing at the response from the Texas repub AG, that the suit alleging that the new restrictions are racially motivated just can’t be true since the intent of the redistricting was to make sure that Democrats can’t vote…yep, in the response to the suit the repubs admitted that they are trying to rig the votes there but shouldn’t be held responsible since there is no law against making sure your opposing party can’t vote…and they cite ole Scalia saying that there is no right to vote in the constitution….I am just stunned by the stupidity of these folks…can’t they see that by filing this brief, they have opened themselves up to so much legal action that the state AG will have no time for anything else…hmmmm…maybe that’s a good thing….and these are the folks that keep waving the constitution around like a flag….big, big, stupid…geez…
