Well…as more and more comes out on the results of the 2004 tax repatriation nonsense, I just had to write more about about it…hope your not bored but someone has to keep pointing out what the country will look like if you elect a repub president. The neat little tidbit that come out today was the fact that the repubs took out any reporting requirement for what was done with the money that was returned. They just listened to the businesses when they said “trust us” we’ll be good boys and girls and hire hundreds of thousands of workers. But, what really happened? Hundreds of thousands of jobs were cut and the pay of the ceo’s and other high ranking officers of those companies skyrocketed…basically rewarding themselves for stealing more, and more and more. This faith based economics is what is wrong with the country and will be many, many, times worse if we vote these idiots in in 2012. Geez….

Well…I am running late today and I know why..it was a long day yesterday and I just can’t get going yet….but I’m trying even though my brain is still idling….I had fun at pool and won the week in a championship game so that is two in a row…haven’t done that in a while….the moon was just so cool when I got up this morning and I had to stare at it for a while…that doesn’t have any big meaning but it looked neat…not much to do today…I am going to just let the day slide by and slide along with it…more later…
Oh, and the Tigers won to make it a series again….can’t wait for 4:19 this afternoon….
Forgot the lyric…here it is: “battle lines are being drawn…nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong…young people speaking their minds..gettin so much resistance from behind…”
The extortion continues…
Well…I was laughing my butt off a few minutes ago when I read an article in the Washington Post that covered the new round of extortion that is being foist on the public by many of the biggest corporations in the US. These shameless thieves are claiming that they are ready, willing, and able to create jobs if they just get some teensy little concessions in regulations…like being able to write the regulations that cover the oil and gas industry or the ability of the telecom industry to continue to consolidate until there is just one huge carrier that can then steal even more from the public. These thieves are even saying that when they merge, it will create jobs….never mind that the primary reasons for these mergers are higher profits by the reduction of redundancies….which, in corporatespeak means that jobs will be cut, not created. When are we, as a country, going to stop letting these greedy idiots steal everything? Geez….
October 11th
Well…it was a long day out yesterday so I am running a little slow today…but the Lions whipped on the Bears so that was cool…I am a little disappointed that lunch with T on Wed was canceled but that’s how it goes sometimes….okay….this isn’t working right now so I’m going to go and come back later…
Okay..the coffee and papers have done their trick and I’m back for a few minutes before I start working out..injured myself doing that yesterday and I am wondering how long it’s going to take to recover…the weird thing is, my arm only hurts when I work out, I can do everything else with just a twinge…oh, well…I may have things to do today…pool with Tom and then I’m meeting up with K for a couple after that so I’ll have to take it easy while shooting…but that’s okay…I did ride the bike out for coffee today and it felt good but tinged with a sense of impending winter with the weather changes that are coming later in the week…but there’s nothing I can do about that so I’ll stop thinking about it….
Today is number 173 on the bike…only 10 more to go…
Here’s today’s lyric: “she lies and says she’s in love with him…can’t find a better man…”
Where are the jobs?
Well…this is going to be a short one about one of the topics that is near and dear to my heart…the lack of jobs or anyone doing anything to grow them….I will admit that Obama and his administration have been trying to do something, but where is the repub controlled congress? They have controlled the house for almost a year and have not put forth one new proposal that will get the economy going again and create jobs…they have just trotted out the same old tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts, that have never created one job…not in all of the cuts by the Bushies, or any of the cuts that have been done by Obama. So, that is the question we should be asking whenever a politician opens his or her mouth…what are you doing to create jobs? And remember that in the 2012 election…the repubs started leaning on Obama and blaming him for the lack of jobs about two weeks into his administration…now we should do the same to them…they’ve had a year in power filled with nothing but nonsense…geez…
October 10th
Well…another Sunday and I did have a little fun with going out to meet up with K for a couple at Logan’s…I was looking forward to seeing the Tigers play but another rainout put that off until today…not sure if it will conflict with the Lions game…nope, it won’t…the Tigers start at 4….I do feel a little worn out today but that should go away in a couple of hours…after I get some water and a few minutes on the couch…not much to do today….I may have a couple with G later but that’s about it…I will get out and enjoy the weather…maybe even take a color tour on the bike…although I do that on my ride every day…so, maybe I won’t…who knows? More later….
Okay…I’m back for a minute…there have been developments on things to do this week…G tonight, and then K and V tomorrow, and then lunch with T on Wed…..it’s pretty cool to be able to get out and do something for a change…
Here’s today’s lyric: “Everywhere around me I see jealousy and mayhem…because no men have their peace of mind to carry them…”
October 9th
Well…a long day yesterday and, as I expected, it was a complicated night of sports with the Wings, Michigan,, the Tigers, and the Bathurst 1000 race on….Michigan won but the Tigers lost so I have mixed emotions about it…and with so much flipping back and forth, there was no flow to the games…maybe next time I’ll just pick one to watch. Maybe the cocktails had something to do with it, too…who knows? I don’t feel bad this morning, though, so I don’t think I overdid it….okay, I’m bored with this right now so I’ll come back later to add to it…
Okay….I’m back for a bit while I wait for the temp to come up enough to go out on the bike with just a t-shirt….it looks like kind of a boring day today with no Lions until tomorrow night but there are a couple of races on so that may be slightly amusing…and I may have a couple with K this aft since I haven’t seen her in a couple of weeks….I should get rid of the leaning tower of newspapers but I probably won’t today…I do have some big ribs in the oven…making them two ways today…one set in the foil pouch and one other one just in a pan….don’t know why I did it that way….just fooling around I guess…
It’s 171 days today….12 more to go…
Here’s today’s lyric: “the sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older…shorter of breath and one day closer to death…”
October 8th
Well…as I expected, it was a long day yesterday but I had a lot of fun with the dinner for G…but, I feel okay this morning…taking it easy, though, for a while to kind of ease into the day….I have read the papers and had a couple of cups of coffee and that has helped…it was cool the Wings won last night but looked really sloppy…at least Hudler got a goal so maybe he will get going this year….there is a huge dilemma in the Michigan sporting world to tonight…the Tigers, Michigan, and the Wings all play tonight so it looks like the remote is going to get a workout….not much else to do today…it looks like a gorgeous morning out there so I can get my ride in early…and I am going to take it easy to try to get the legs to stop hurting…and just smile and look at the colors for a change…hoping to have some more wildlife stories to report….yesterday’s really made me grin….more later…
Oh, today is day 170…only 13 more to go..
Here’s today’s lyric: “I crawl like a viper through these suburban streets…make love to these women…languid and bittersweet…”
Eric Cantor is still an idiot…
Well….I just had to laugh when I read this quote from ole Eric: “I am increasingly concerned about the growing mobs at the protests”…okay, I’m laughing again just writing this….and this is coming from a self-avowed “protector” of the Constitution who probably has never read the thing…if he had, he would have noticed the little thing called the first amendment that ensures the right of the people to “peaceably assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances”…..what about that Eric? What about your precious tea party who were anything but peacable…with the guns, slogans, and chants proposing violent attacks on the government?
As I said yesterday, these guys should be afraid of any movement that wants to restore the fairness to this country…that wants to make sure that the political system can’t be hijacked by a few rich people or corporations anymore….maybe we can make ole Eric go away…
What a hypocrite….
Just a few things….
Well…it was an interesting day out on the trail…on one of them that runs through a forest…almost t-boned a deer that was running through like a heat seeking missile….I could see it coming from the left and it crossed the trail only about 5 feet in front of me…I wonder how they can run so fast when the woods are as thick as they are there…pretty cool…and then, about 2 miles on, I saw a huge female red-tailed hawk sitting on the bridge where I saw the other raptor a couple of weeks ago…again, pretty neat…
Oh, today was day 169…only 14 more to go to get to my six month goal….and there probably won’t be another one today….and I can’t come up with a song lyric off the top of my head so I won’t do that today, either….
Okay…here’s the lyric: “start on Key Plantain…walk a tropical mile….you’ll see a house in the Spanish style…”
