Well…up at 5:34 this morning and that’s okay…didn’t take anything to sleep last night and slept okay so I can live with that…still feel worn out, though…so I’m going to ease into it this morning and let my body do it’s wake up thing…I was looking at the paperwork from my yearly check up yesterday and saw that my BMI was over 25 and that says I’m obese but I sure don’t look or feel like I am…I have put 15 pounds of muscle on my upper body and that screws up the calculation…oh, well…didn’t get anything done but reading yesterday and I do need to finish the last book so I can hit the library tomorrow so I’ll need to get my butt moving soon….just poured the first cup of coffee and I’m going to pour another one right now so I can get started…it’s warm enough out there that it’s going to rain and I’m happy that I don’t have to shovel snow today…going to try to get through the winter with the 5 year old snow shovel but I will have to buy one this year…not much to do today…just need to get the exercise in and start to feel human again…more later…

Trump is lying again…
Well…of course when idiot boy opens his mouth you and I and everyone else knows he’s lying…after he kidnapped Venezuela’s president last week, he spouted off that the vice president was ready to “partner” with the US but the VP then issued a statement saying sh agreed to no such thing…so of course idiot boy threatened her with “paying a big price for not cooperating” since she didn’t roll over for the asshole in chief…this is blatantly a war crime and the next time trump leaves this country, he should be arrested and sent to the Hague for trial…and that goes for hegseth and the generals who didn’t do their duty to refuse an illegal order…geez…
Just can’t get warm…
Well…as you know, I have been struggling with the cold this winter and today was the worst day yet…after doing the rides downstairs in a t-shirt and shorts, I ended up shivering sitting here on the couch even with a long sleeved t-shirt over another one and my long pajama pants on…it got so bad that I was reading under two blankets with the heating pad on my chest…and my fingers still turned white like they always do from the Reynauds…finally got warm enough to sit up and do this one without the heating pad on so maybe I’ve turned the corner for today…having a hot bowl of soup helped I think but damn this is getting annoying…hope it doesn’t get worse…and no, I’m not turning the heat up from 66 where I’ve had it since I bought this house…oh, well
January 5th
Well…up at 4:30 and out of bed at 6:05 but there is a cost to it…took a benadryl to sleep last night and I feel like crap this morning so I guess I’ll have to stop that and just take my chances on sleep…I did get most of the way through the book that is due back this week and I’ll finish that today…and then I’ll read the rest of the other book I’ve got going so I can take them back Wed and see if there are more that I haven’t read…I know there will come a time when I’m out of books and that is going to suck…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and I’ll try to do more today but don’t have a lot of hope that I will…need to get on the weights now and get the rides in before 9am or so…didn’t snow overnight so I don’t have to shovel and it looks like it won’t this week with the temps over freezing until Sat…not much to do today…just need to do the normal stuff and then figure out the rest of the day….more later…
“We” didn’t invade Venezuela…
Well…I really think the media should stop saying that “we” invaded Venezuela…it sure as hell wasn’t the 60% of the country that disapproves of the idiot trump…and I sure as hell don’t want to be lumped in with the thugs and thieves who went along…again, any president does not have the power to declare war himself…that duty falls to congress so he’s breaking the law again…we all know what this about…Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world and trump and his cronies have been scheming to figure out how to steal the oil for years…and now idiot boy says American oil companies are going to “run” the country I wonder how the Venezuelans feel about that? This will be the first charge of impeachment when we retake the government this fall…along with the hundreds of other times he has broken the law…geez…
January 4th
Well…up and moving before 6 today and I’m pretty worn out…again…and I need to get off my butt and get moving since Man U is playing at 7:30 and I need to get the weight work and one ride in before that…had an okay day yesterday and even got some cleaning done…not sure if I’ll do more today but the house can use it…it is going to warm up this week with above freezing temps all week and I’ll take that any time in January…might have to go out and shovel the snow since we got a little yesterday and I want the walks to be clear with the warmer weather…don’t have to cook today with the big batch of soup I made yesterday and I have eggs and smoked sausage to make an omelet so I may just do two meals today….who knows? More later….
I forgot…
Well…damn, I completely forgot to come here and do a political one today…I will use being busy as an excuse since I made a big batch of ham soup and put 2 2 qt containers in the fridge along with keeping one in the fridge along with an overflow container…I can’t taste if it’s good or not but it looks good and the extra veggies were a good idea…very hearty soup…then I cleaned my bedroom to get rid of the dust and cobwebs along with washing the bedding…oh, and I read 135 pages of the last book…so it was a little busy and now it’s time for Svengoolie…
January 3rd
Well…up after 6 again today and that is the benadryl talking…not sure how long my body can support that but it is nice to sleep a little…still so damn worn out that I can’t get going but I need to get on the weights soon to get my day started…just poured the first cup of coffee and it really does need to work soon…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I am going to clean my bedroom today…it’s just so dusty that it may help me sleep if I clean it…going to make ham soup today after I get the bike rides in but I’m not sure if I’ll do a 2nd meal…I do have eggs to use so maybe a smoked sausage omelet? I’m getting used to only one meal a day so maybe just a bowl of soup for the day…I do need to wash the bedding today but that seems like a daunting task right now…not much to do today….just need to let my body adjust to being up and ease into it…it looks like today is going to be a lot of work…more later…
Got some things done…
Well…I did get a few things done today but it is still a pretty lazy day with starting the next to last book…I did get a run out to DD to get some beef smoked sausage and self rising pepperoni pizzas for 2.50 each…and I have ham, onions, and olives that I can put on them to dress them up a bit…going to make another batch of ham soup tomorrow using two ham bones and this time I’m going to put a lot more veggies in it…a whole onion, 6 stalks of celery, and 6 carrots…I even had room in the freezer for the pizzas and getting ham bone out of there will make more room I even discovered some chicken in there I didn’t know I had so I won’t have to buy any protein this week…another one meal day today and I think that makes it a full week of eating less…and I think I’ll keep that up until spring…a show that I ordered showed up on plex called “Pluribus” that is pretty weird but that kept me interested…it’s like a sci fi alien horror show…so back to that to start the night..and I didn’t even get to “Landman” so that will be tonight, too…time to read…
Cancelling child care funding…
Well…another day, another attack by the idiot trump on the people of the US…this time he has cancelled child care funding across the US just because a right wing influencer lied on you tube saying that there is massive fraud in Minnesota…and it’s just not true…many many investigations have been done on this lie and there is no truth at all to it… and this is part of his racist attacks on the Somali community in Minnesota that he continues to attack daily calling them “scum” and worse…this is what you get when you put an open racist in charge of anything…so now 180,000 child care centers won’t get paid until the idiot in chief has another whim…this is what you voted for maga and I hope you lose your jobs when you can’t afford child care anymore…geez…
