Well…woke up soaked this morning and probably should have left the ac on all night but then I get too cold even with it set at 74….so, I didn’t sleep too well and need to get moving with this to get out on the bike in 15 minutes to make it back here by 9 for the F1 race….and, still no rain out here and the forecast has changed to nothing for today from a 70% chance when I went to bed last night…it hasn’t rained out here for over a month and I am getting tired of spending all the money to keep my lawn alive by watering it….only did one ride yesterday with going out to swim instead and it looks like I will only do one again today with the F1 race and then Man U playing at 11:30…but, it it doesn’t rain, I may go out after the match is over….but I think I’ll probably run out of energy with only having a chicken sandwich to eat all day yesterday….just don’t feel like eating but can’t do two of those in a row….didn’t get anything else done and with the humidity and the heat, I won’t be doing much outside today…other than watering the lawn….my allergies are terrible this morning and I need to remember to take something for it before I get on the bike…..and I need to do that right now since I have only 5 minutes to get on the bike….more later…

Well…yeah, no politics right now…and I may not be back to do one later, either…but, who knows? I did have a nice surprise when I went out to get a swim in with some 5 foot waves that had popped up out of nowhere…when I rode out there early this morning, the lake was basically flat so I was expecting it to still be later in the morning…but cool, I love it when I can play in the waves and get a couple of surfs in but I did forget to put sunscreen on so my face and head are scorched and I’m slathering everything with aloe to help….oh, well…I’m done for the day….

Well….forgot to mention that yesterday marked my first 6 months here and I’m not sure how I feel about that…some good, some bad but I do own a house and that offsets a lot of it….slept okay last night but still feel pretty slow this morning but need to pour coffee down me and get out on the bike by7:30 to make it back here for F1 qualifying at 9….and I may only do one ride today since they have postponed the race from last night to 12:30 today and it may rain this morning…ha,ha, that made me laugh too….and there is soccer on, too, so I may be a slug today….didn’t get a lot done yesterday other than pick some tomatoes for a neighbor and water the lawn but it was so damn hot and humid that I didn’t want to do much…next week is going to be cooler…back in the 70’s for highs so that will help getting the back of the house cleaned and getting the painting done….not sure if I’ll get anything done today with all of the sports on tv today but I should clean some….I am already soaked from sweat and I think I may run the ac later today since there is a heat advisory on for today..supposed to feel like it’s over a hundred…and that may be the reason for only doing one ride…I was soaked through everything after the second ride yesterday and felt it the rest of the day….not much to do today…just going to wing it and try to stay cool…already running the fan and that is not a good sign….more later…

Well…it’s been another day of trying to find a topic and I wonder if this is going to be the new normal? Nothing is grabbing me and that usually is what I need to have happen to work up enough outrage to take on a political one…so, maybe later…I did talk to one of the neighbors in the new houses across the alley and the good news is they bought the vacant lot next to them so no one can cram a new house in there like they are doing all over up here…we laughed that with some of the new houses up here, you can reach out your window and touch the next house they are so close….and I met another neighbor yesterday, too when I asked if they wanted some tomatoes…had a nice talk with him and learned more history of the area and that was pretty cool…he told me that there was a house on my second lot about 40 years ago and the whole area was a swamp that they pushed logs through back in the 1800’s….pretty cool….I just noticed I haven’t had a flat on the bike for almost two months after I put the electrical tape on the inside of the rim and that is pretty cool, too…but I do need to order parts and get the old bike up and running so I can do the same for the new bike…but, I  don’t feel like it right now…just worn out after two hard rides in the heat…more later…

Well….I’m convinced that it is never going to rain out here…the forecast called for storms last night and all day today but not a damn drop of rain…and the storms all look like they are going to the north today so it will be another dry one…so, more money going into the water for the lawn just to keep it alive….and I was really hoping to get a day off the bike with the rain but that’s not happening, either….and I think I’ll leave the beach days at 4 in a row since I still feel scorched from yesterday and don’t think my skin can take much more….I did sleep okay last night without the air on but feel worn out today…cripes, it seem like I always feel worn out….and I have to make a run to Meijers this morning since I forgot to get milk wed and I will run out before next wed….I did give more of my tomatoes away to another neighbor yesterday but I still have way too many of them and will need to get the blender out this weekend to make sauce to freeze for the winter….and I am getting tired of tomatoes but know I still need to keep eating them or I’ll feel guilty from letting them rot even though I’ve got about 5 bucks into the seeds and food…maybe I’ll put some on my chair out front to try to give them away…not much to do today….going to try to get two rides in again today and clean some but I’m not too motivated right now….I do think I need to take a day off soon and just veg out for a while…it’s going to be a busy winter around here with all of the work I have to do and I’m not sure I’m looking forward to that….more later…

Well…hit 3,000 miles for the year on the bike today after doing two rides for the first time in a couple of days….felt good doing it but it was really humid here all day and I was soaked when I got back here and I’m feeling it now with some soreness in my legs…going to try to get to 5K this year but it will probably be more like 4 but I’m okay with that…that will mean 10K miles in the past two years and that isn’t bad for an old guy….and I got out to the beach for the 4th day in a row and got pretty scorched…my skin can’t take the sun even in the small quantities I have been exposing it to…I mean, only 20 minutes per side and then home? Okay, I’m out there for about an hour or so but 20 minutes of that is in the water and only my head is exposed….I did see a huge ore ship crossing Muskegon Lake today as I was coming home and had to stop and take my ear buds out to listen to it…I really thought it would make a chugging sound, why I don’t know, but it was essentially silent as it headed out the channel to Lake Michigan…still cool to see something that big cruising on the lake….

Well…did I tell you how much I hate the anti vaxxers? Yesterday was my grandson’s first birthday and I couldn’t see him because the asshole anti vaxxers have spread delta everywhere so I can’t risk seeing him….they have stolen this from me and I have a white hot burning hatred for all of them…and who knows how long it will be before I can see my granddaughter? I hope every damn one of them dies from the virus…yeah, I know, that’s pretty harsh and not me at all but I’ll never get this time back and the photos I got yesterday makes it even worse…okay, let’s get back to the normal stuff…slept okay last night and feel okay today if a little slow….my legs have started to feel better after only doing one ride the past two days but I will be on the bike for two today…it is so darn humid out here today that I am already sweating just sitting here on the couch doing this….and today is going to be almost 90 out here today so I am going to try to get out to the beach after the two rides and lunch…that will make it 4 days in a row and I am getting tanned like I haven’t been since the days of Harbor Springs and our family vacations there….might have to run the ac later tonight…I am getting fatigued from the heat and humidity and I will have to water the lawn today, too, since it is not looking good….I do need to order the parts to rebuild the old bike since the new one has started to skip and that means the sprockets are wearing out and need to be replaced…it just struck me that I am going to have a”winter bike” to go along with the winter Miata…weird…..not much to do today…I do need to make tacos  so I’ll have something to eat later today and I really do hope it rains later….and I didn’t make coffee so I only have the two cups that were left over from yesterday…not nearly enough….more later….

Well…with only doing one ride today, I feel like such a slug…not doing the work is disappointing but I wanted to go out to the beach for the third day in a row since there were waves out there today…and I didn’t get on the bike for the first ride until almost 10 with doing the grocery run to two stores, hitting the dollar store for some more cheap sunglasses, and stopping to put fuel in the car since it was down to a quarter tank and I never let it get that low…so doing a second ride in the heat or going to the beach…hmmm…wasn’t really a hard decision and I think I may make it four days in a row tomorrow…but I’ll be able to get on the bike by 8 and can get two rides in by 11 so  I’ll be able to get to the beach by noon or so….with getting some sun, the freckles on my shoulders are really getting visible and reminded me of my mother’s freckles that really did the same when she was in the sun….strange to think of that…hmmmm…
