Well…it has really been a strange day…starting with hearing about Walter…and that still is on my mind…cripes, he was only 3 years older than I am…do I have to start worrying about dying now? Going to try not to do that….I did figure out the bike and the chain skipping today so that’s something…the front sprocket is worn out again so I decided to try something…took the sprocket off and noticed that I could reverse it…so I flipped it and put it back on…worked like a champ and now no more skipping in any gear…but now I’m having shifting problems after I cleaned the bike yesterday…lubed it up and it got better so I guess tomorrow will be the test…and it looks like I’ll be able to get to October with this one and then buy a new one after I get my second payment from SS…

RIP Walter Becker…
Damn…this is one that I never wanted to do…Walter Becker, half of Steely Dan, died last night at the age of 67. I am still catching my breath about this…the Dan has been my favorite group for decades now and the plan was to see them for the 7th time in October here in GR. I knew there was something seriously wrong with him when he missed most of their concerts this year, and he didn’t look well at all in the youtube video of a concert from May….but his death still hit me like a ton of bricks, to use the old cliche….the Fagen/Becker partnership has given us some of the best, snarky and literate music that was really hard to describe…but the themes of old guys and young women, of outsiders that really liked being outsiders, and yearning for pasts that never were still resonate to me…and always will….RIP Walter…I’m going to miss you….
September 3rd
Well…running on time this morning since I want to get this done before the F1 race comes on….slept okay last night and feel okay this morning but I do still have that low level bug that is a little annoying with the lung congestion that comes with it…and I do still feel a little warm, too…but it’s not too bad so I guess I can live with it…the bike failed yesterday and now it looks like I’ll be without one for a few weeks until the 20th when I can buy a new one…or, I can get the Schwinn running and ride that for a while….going to try to ride this morning but the chain and sprockets are skipping and it is really annoying….the thing is just worn out and I’m not spending any more money on it…don’t have it to spend anyway….not much to do today…there are three races on today so my day will be pretty much a waste…more later…
September 2nd
Well….man, it’s cold in here with it being only 44 degrees outside…not going to put the heat on yet…just too early for that…I really think I have a bug since I am still coughing and have no energy…so, today is going to be a sports day with Man U, Michigan, and a race on and I am going to veg it out and couch all day…still no back pain and I like that but I feel sore everywhere else…..but, I haven’t had to take anything for it in quite a while so that is cool….not much to do today…I should clean some today and I might but, I might not….it all depends on my motivation….I can’t find it right now….more later…

Well….just waned to do a shorty on a little bit of good news if you want to see the criminal trump perp walked out of the WH….the latest addition to Robert Mueller’s team that is investigating the trump crime family’s many, many transgressions is an elite IRS team that investigates financial crimes…like money laundering….and guess what they already have in their possession? Yep, the idiot trump’s tax returns…and, if he is anything like the rest of the rich in this country, he cheated on his taxes and that will be another count against him when he is finally charged with the multitude of crimes he has committed. Of course the idiot’s protectors in the repub party have already started to bleat that the IRS is biased against trump and you can’t trust them to be honest…I just hope that all of of the repubs out there go down with the idiot when the end comes….impeach…..
September 1st
Well…running late this morning and I think it’s because I slept in until 7….feel a little crappy today and I think part of it is a little bug that I think I have…have been coughing and feeling a little warm so I think it’s either the bug or allergies….had a good day yesterday and I won at pool…the drive out and back was fun but it is a little sad that the summer is over and feels like it this morning…only 47 degrees right now and I am not sure if I go with a sweatshirt or wait for it to warm up….I’m leaning toward waiting with F1 practice on right now and I just can’t get going…..okay…need more coffee and this is getting to be work….more later….
A fun chess game….
Well…the investigation of the idiot trump is turning into a fun chess game to watch…and the matching moves of the idiot and Robert Mueller just from the past few days made me smile a little. After the idiot pardoned Joe Arpaio and telegraphed to all of his lawbreaking cronies that they have nothing to worry about since they have pardons waiting for them, Mueller checked that move with the revelation that he has been working with New York’s AG on the case against Paul Manafort…and any state crimes are not subject to a presidential pardon so they can continue to squeeze him and get him to sing against the trump crime family. I am certain that this little bit of info was leaked by Mueller to ensure that the rest of the idiot’s cronies will see that they are toast and will start, or continue, to cooperate with the investigation. This is going to be fun to watch….impeach…
August 31st
Well….got up feeling kind of slow today and that continues….I did get a small grocery run done but I only had 29 bucks to spend…even went over that by 99 cents….slept okay last night…I think I’m stuck in 2nd gear right now and I’m not sure if that is a bad thing….I did get out to the beach yesterday and got a little burned…and I got my swim in for the year so that is off my mind….but the seat on the bike is still screwed up and it cut my ride short yesterday….hoping I got that fixed so I can do a long one this morning….I do have something to do today….I think we’re going out to shoot pool this aft and it will be good to get out of here for a while….I think I may have a bug or the damn goldenrod is screwing with my allergies…have been coughing and have a sore throat but I don’t feel too bad so I guess I can live with it….more later…
18 dead and not a mention…
Well…with the idiot trump visiting the flooded ares of Texas yesterday, I wonder what he talked about? How about this quote: “great turnout, great crowd”…no mention of the 18 dead or any condolences to their families….no talks with anyone whose house was lost in the flooding…no comforting of the hundreds of thousands whose lives have been ruined by this tragedy…nothing…and today, guess what the idiot is doing after he did the barest minimum for those affected by the floods? Another frickin campaign rally in Missouri that he has been tweeting incessantly about today….okay repubs, how can you continue to support this useless piece of crap? You are all going down with him….impeach…
August 30th
Well..running a little early today with planning on hitting the beach today….have had a swim in Lake Michigan every year since I was 4 and today looks like the last day that will be warm enough for it…it’s only 59 right now but that is warm enough to put the top down on the way out….won’t go to the Tip for lunch sine I’m broke and I have plenty of food here….will probably skip the bike ride today but I may do it when I get back…not sure….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but the normal stuff but I did get out on the bike in the fog and that was cool….still not too sore today and my back is still good so I’ll take that…I have been feeling it crack all the time and that means it won’t hurt….I need coffee….more later….
