Well…as you can see, I didn’t come back for another one yesterday…not sure why other than I was distracted by the Olympics….didn’t get anything else done either, and that annoys me somewhat….I did get the slow cooked chicken done and it came out okay…will have food for the next few days now and that is good since I really don’t feel like cooking at all…my legs have been hurting the past couple of days and I can’t figure that out…I did go hard on the bike yesterday but that shouldn’t show up for a day or so…might just be getting old….feel a little slow today and I am forcing myself to get going…and that is not really working right now…maybe more coffee? I do need to get the workout and bike ride in today since tomorrow is going to be a beach day and that means I’ll miss both….the lake temp is almost 75 so that will make for a good swim….no waves though so that is disappointing but I need to keep the string alive…have been in the lake every year since I was 5 and that is a really long time…more later….

August 7th
Well…another Saturday passed with no damage so I guess that is a win…didn’t get anything done and the damn bike is still squeaking so I am a little irritated today….and there are way too many things to watch in the olympics and I fear that I am going to have a lost two weeks when they are on….too easy to make excuses and veg out on the couch….I do need to get moving and get the slow cooker loaded with the chicken and other stuff that I want to cook today…maybe that will be the taste that I need to want to eat again….still not a lot of pain right now but the boredom is getting pretty fierce….might have to spend some money to go out somewhere and just be around some people for a change…..not much to do today….just the bike ride and a race later and I am going to veg out most of the day…more later…
Breathtaking hypocrisy…
Well….I just about puked when I read a statement put out by the repubs today to commemorate the passing of the voting rights act in 1965…and to praise the people who worked hard to get it passed…and the rest of the boilerplate where they try to take credit for passing it and that it was necessary to make sure all the people had the right to vote…okay, insert a big frickin laugh right here….in every state that the repubs control, they have been doing their best for the past twenty years to undermine it an make sure that minorities, the poor, and anyone else that will never vote for a repub can’t vote…in the past week alone, there have been 5 court cases striking down these voter suppression laws and now ole Reince has the gall to praise the VRA? This is just the latest in a long, long string of breathtaking hypocrisy out of the repubs…and I’m sure it won’t be the last…I’m just shaking my head…geez…
August 6th
Well…it’s Saturday…not sure what that means since all of the days just run together….I did win at pool in a championship game so that was cool…feel okay this morning and I am looking forward to getting on the bike…yeah, I know I’m weird to like torturing myself but that’s me….it’s a good looking morning out there with almost no wind and that makes for a good ride….still working on the squeak and we’ll see if I found it or not….the water works again when it does so I guess I’m okay with whatever happens…I did watch the opening ceremonies for the Olympics last night and they just seemed way too long…I even changed over to other stuff after the first hour and a half….I am going to watch much of the olympics since it will be something to keep the boredom away…..not much to do today…have to finish my coffee and get on the bike but that is about it….more later…
August 5th
Well…it’s another Friday and most people are looking forward to their weekend…but, they don’t mean a lot to me anymore since every day is a weekend…and that is a shame, really….oh, well….I did get a bunch of stuff done yesterday and I am really hoping the lube I got for the bike gets rid of the damn squeak….it is a pretty cool lube made by wd…a silicone that goes on wet but then dries and just leaves the lube behind…don’t really have a lot of hope it will work but you have to love the technology….it looks like the really hot weather is going to be gone for a few days and I don’t mind that at all….it has been a trial with it being so darn hot for so long…and I do need to get off the bike for a day…it has been almost 120 days without a day off and my legs are getting really flat….I have the normal stuff to do today and it will be nice to get out of here for a while….more later…okay…not sure if this new format is working or not..it is pool day but that will be about it….cleaned a lot yesterday and burned my thumb on the damn burner grates on the stovetop…just a little blister….more later….

Well….we all know that the Trump campaign is run by a bunch of idiots and they added just a little more proof today when ole Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, went on the morning show to spew the crazy assed talking point that Obama’s foreign policy was responsible for Captain Khan’s death…in 2004. Now, Paul, we’ve been over this before…who was president in 2004? Hmmmm…someone not named Obama…could it be GW Bush? So, now what you’re saying, Paul, is that our foreign policy was being set by the state of Illinois in 2004, and that Obama, being a state senator at the time was responsible? Let’s get right to the point, Paul, you are an idiot and a liar if you believe the crap you vomit every day on the TV box….please get some help for your delusions…and while you’re at it..get some for Donald, too…geez…
August 4th
Well…had a pretty good day yesterday and got a bunch of stuff done…but, I’m running late again this morning with doing the grocery run….am going to try to make some different food over the next few days…got some stir fry for today and I am going to run the slow cooker Saturday with some chicken, mushrooms, potatoes and carrots…going to use a red pasta sauce for the liquid and see how that comes out….did it last time with mushroom soup and didn’t like it much…want something with more bite in the flavors so I think I’ll over garlic it….have had a pain down my left leg for the past few days and I think it’s nerve impingement again since my back sounds like a coffee can full of rocks….going to take something for it before I get out today to see if it helps…more annoying than anything but it hurt on the bike so that needs to be addressed….I do have stuff to do today…going to wash the car after I finish the coffee and then the regular stuff…the bike is still irritating then hell out of me but at least it still rides…more later…

Well….if you didn’t think that Obama derangement syndrome was a real thing, You just have to listen to Trump’s spokesperson Katrina Peterson the other day trying to deflect the fact that Trump has become obsessed with the Khan’s and the sacrifice their son made in 2004. And, that’s the key here…this idiot Peterson went on Wolf Blitzer’s show and said that Hillary and Obama were responsible for Capt. Khan’s death conveniently forgetting that ole GW was president when the death occurred…the worst thing here is that Wolf didn’t even push back on this obvious lie…he just let it hang in the air while he went to commercial. This is the problem with the media today….why can’t they just say “hey that’s a bald faced lie” and pressure these idiots that work for Trump…..they’re just enablers that have let the birther crap go on for years…that let the lie that tax cuts spur growth in jobs…and every other delusion on the right is allowed to stand as truth….sad….

Well…I am going to change things up today since my daily posts have become pretty repetitive and boring…..I am pretty happy that there hasn’t been much pain lately…I did have some cramps in my thighs this morning and that is a new one….it is a beautiful day out there and I am going to appreciate it…I am pretty excited that the Olympics are starting today with the US women’s soccer team playing later this aft and I will be watching that…might even watch some of the earlier games but I’m not sure…have been really bored with the food I have been eating lately and I think I need to add some spice to it so I’ll eat enough again…just have a craving for big loads of spices so I think I’ll get out the cookbooks again and try for something new…going to be just another day today but I do have to clean….and do laundry….might have to put the air on later with it predicted to be in the 90’s today and I am tired of being damp all the time…more later….

Well….let’s add Mike Pence to those who have really relinquished their sanity to support the chief Idiot, Trump….at a Pence rally the other day, a woman asked how Pence could still support Trump when Trump attacks military families….and his response was that he has never met anyone who supports the troops more than Trump….as much as that is wrong on so many levels…basically every level…the worst part was that the crowd attempted to shout the woman down..who, by the way, has a son serving in the Air Force…she persevered and got through the question to shouts of throw her out and shut up…and, here is how ignorant the Trump/Pence supporters are…when they interviewed a few of them after the rally, they all said that the woman had “violated their rights” by asking a question they didn’t want to hear…now….I am getting really tired of pointing out what the constitution really means to these folks…the first amendment protects this woman’s right to speak out…it doesn’t protect you from hearing something you don’t want to hear….and it doesn’t give religious folks the right to discriminate in the name of religion…man…I am just shaking my head at all of the stupidity…geez…
