Well…got another bike ride in yesterday but it was a wet one and it took me most of the afternoon to warm up after the ride…slept pretty crappy last night and was up before 6 so there may be a nap later today to compensate for that….but, I feel okay this morning even with that but I am sore…again….and I know this time it’s bike soreness so that makes it okay…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today will be much the same since I really don’t have a lot to do….may have a little work but I may be able to put it off, too….not sure yet….I should wash the car today but that may wait until tomorrow when the weather will be better…it is going to be in the mid 50’s sat so that may be my top down day or tomorrow…not sure yet….more later….

Just some thoughts…
Well…have a few thoughts in my head right now so I thought I’d talk a little about them…not sure if any of them could be and entire post…so, the inaugural that trump says is going to be the biggest looks to be one of the most lame in history….at this time for Obama’s last one, you had to go 200 miles into Virginia to find a hotel room…a reporter checking it out found that there are rooms available at 61 hotels in downtown DC….and now the idiot is recording facebook messages begging people to come so he won’t look so lame…the CBO has come out with the cost to repeal Obamacare and it looks ugly…..premiums up by 50% the first year and 37 million people without insurance…and all Paul Ryan has to say is that the CBO hasn’t costed their plan out so how can they know that it isn’t the most wonderful thing in the world? All I have to say to that is where’s the plan, idiot? You keep saying you have one but it’s like double secret probation….you can’t see it…what a bunch of morons…geez…
Oh, forgot one thing…the idiot’s approval rating before he is even in office is down to 40%…to compare, Obama’s was at 84% at the same time period…and one last chuckle…one of the women who the idiot sexually assaulted is going on tv in a minute to announce that she is suing him for the assault…and she has Gloria Allred as her lawyer…I smell an 8 figure settlement coming…
January 17th
Well…running late this morning and I think it’s by choice…just haven’t felt like getting going and I think I am going to allow this one to be a wasted day….and I had another equipment failure yesterday…or the same equipment failure I had last week and now I am working on getting it replaced under warranty so the only cost will be shipping to send the old part back…or, maybe they will pay for that, too….maybe too much to ask….feel pretty crappy this morning and I am waiting for the coffee to work so my brain is not working that well….didn’t get on the bike yesterday since I had work to do around here and it rained most of the day…I’m now waiting for the rain to stop so I can get a ride in today…but I’m not too motivated so that can wait a while…more later….
An education secretary who hates public education…
Well…living here in Michigan, we’ve all gotten to know trump’s pick for education secretary, Betsy DeVos, as opposed to anything that has to do with public education, and her family bankrolling the effort to expand and deregulate the charter schools here. So, of course she’s the perfect person to run the education department in repubs eyes since they just hate teachers, teachers unions, and public education in general since you can’t make a profit for their oligarch buddies from it….never mind that she has no education or experience with the issues that the ed sec has to deal with…she does have that large checkbook that now seems to be the only qualification for anything for the repubs…after all, they elected the ignoramus in chief…the most ignorant person ever elected to any office in the US ever….geez….
Jason Chaffetz is a fraud…
Well… didn’t take long for the double standard that runs all repubs to rear it’s ugly head…a couple of days ago the top ethics lawyers for both GW and Obama came out and said that, unless the idiot trump divests himself of his business interests, he will be violating the constitution the day he is sworn in….and the person that is supposed to be investigating that on the house oversight committee, Jason Chaffetz, has said on the Sunday shows that he won’t be doing any investigation of this violation of the constitution…he even went so far as to threaten the chair of the government ethics office for pointing out this violation…and this is the same guy that said that if Clinton was elected, he would start investigations immediately on the supposed and fake Clinton lawbreaking….so, this is your new repub party folks, the laws only apply to their enemies, not to them…and the country starts to crumble….geez…
January 16th
Well…slept okay last night but my lungs are giving me fits today…have been coughing for some reason but I’m not sure if it is a bug yet….don’t have the normal symptoms so I guess I’ll wait to see what happens…it has been nice to be back on the bike the past few days and yesterday was a much better ride…my hands didn’t hurt too much so that was a good thing…but I am sore this morning and I don’t mind it…and the breaking of the news blackout has been less painful than I expected…still not into the entire news cycle but that will come later….not sure what I’m going to do today…it is supposed to rain the next two days so I may just have to veg until I can get back on the bike….and I do have some work to do around here but that might wait a day or so….more later….
The blackout breaks…
Well….it has been two months since I stopped reading or listening to the news but the boredom got to me today and I re activated my Twitter account….not to really read anything but to just look at the headlines…I do need to ease back into it…it would be way too much to go back to the old normal right away…but, there is one bit of news that I wanted to relay…that Clinton had over a million more votes than the idiot but the voter suppression that the repubs use to cheat worked….keep that in mind if the idiot ever mentions “mandate”
January 15th
Well…woke up feeling crappy again today and have lung congestion that has been coming on for a few days that is annoying….the pain from the bike ride yesterday has not kicked in yet but it should in a while…my hands are still stiff from yesterday and that will make today’s ride bad from the start…oh, well….I did cook the pork shoulder in the pressure cooker yesterday but the hour was not enough to get the center of it tender….next time I think I’ll go an hour and a half…still came out pretty good and I’ll have leftovers for the rest of the week…not going to do a whole lot today other than the bike ride later…Man U is playing at 11 so that will be something to keep the boredom at bay for a while and I should clean some but I probably won’t….more later…
Pure torture….
Well…finally dragged myself off the couch and got on the bike and that may have been a mistake…the ride was pure torture from the first mile to the last with my hands going into full cramp mode as soon as I left here and then continued to get worse through the entire 12 miles….there were some things on the trail that made me smile a little starting with the first almost all black red tailed hawk I’ve ever seen…they are normally brown and white on their backs but this one was jet black….strange…then, heading into the woods someone had put red balloons and a “will you marry me?” sign along with hearts and rose petals spread across the path….then, looking for the last bit of artwork where a hundred chistmas ornaments were hung in the trees…I saw it had been moved about 200 yards from where it was the last time I saw them…at least that distracted me from the pain in my hands….
January 14th
Well…feeling a little sore this morning and I’m not sure why…my lower back is stiff but I didn’t do anything to hurt it…oh, I did win at pool yesterday and I had fun getting out of here for a while….but I didn’t get anything else done so that will have to change today…but, maybe not…I am going to cook in the pressure cooker today and it looks like the 7 pound roast I got will only take about an hour….can’t wait to see how it turns out…have been marinading it overnight and that should help….I did splurge and buy some good buns for pulled pork sandwiches later today but I am going to do a full meal for lunch…I may even get out on the bike today if it gets up over 30….more later…
