Well…I am starting to get pissed with all of the incompetent CEO’s slashing benefits and then blaming it on the ACA…even though the entire act has not even taken effect…just like John Schnatter of Papa John’s who went on a bitch screed last year saying he would make sure no one in his company would work more than 30 hours so he wouldn’t have to make health insurance part of the benefit package offered…and this, even though giving all of his employees full boat health insurance would only cost the company 4 cents extra per pizza and no one would even notice…just another asshole on the right trying to make a political point by screwing his workers. Today, we have another one of these assholes that makes over 10 million dollars a year, Tim Armstrong of AOL, saying that he HAS to cut the companies 401K match since two women there had babies that needed “a million dollars in care” and claims that Obamacare has cost the company 7.1 million dollars. One thing this prick doesn’t mention is that his bad decisions in acquisitions has cost the company over 200 million dollars in the past year…so, what he is really saying is that I’m so damn dumb that I can’t even do my job, so all of you employees have to pay for it while I take my 10 million dollars and laugh all the way to the bank. This one has the analysts laughing out loud…all of them have said that there is no possible way that Obamacare has cost AOL 7.1 million dollars…this prick is just lying like every one of these CEO’s whose pay is based on screwing workers…I, for one, am really, really tired of these assholes using their employees as scapegoats for their incompetence…when do they have to take some personal responsibility? Geez….

New stuff or old stuff?
Well…have been sitting here trying to figure out some new stuff to say but have only come up with snippets that wouldn’t make a whole one of these so this one is going to be a little disjointed…okay, most of these are a little disjointed but that’s my “style” and I’m sticking by that….forgot to mention this morning that the snow totals for this year here in GR are 4 feet more than last year…yep, 4 feet more than the 37 inches of last year and we still have more than a month of winter left to go…might be a record year if we get 15 more inches…I still can’t believe we’ve gotten 85 inches of snow this year…no wonder I’m so depressed…is this old or new stuff? Not sure…but I have been following the debt ceiling fight…another one of those? Yep, here we go again but this time the repubs have figured out that they are not going to be able to hold it hostage and crash the economy to try to jerk the country even farther to the right…and have given up before the fight began…but, ole Boehner has tried to save face by saying he won’t give Obama immigration reform this year to spite him….yeah, spite away, John…are you guys so stupid that you don’t recognize that every time you pull this crap of trying to hurt people it comes back to bite you in the ass? Yeah, they really, really, are…oh, and one last thing…the deficit is down to 1/3 of what it was when Obama took office….yep, this big spending, communist has reduced the deficit more than any repub president in the last 30 years…and he is still a socialist…I say, give me more socialism is that’s what it looks like…geez…
More republican lies about the ACA…
Well…I am laughing about the typical repub spin on the new CBO report that came out in the past couple of days that says, as a result of the law, there will eventually be 2 million less full time workers…and of course the repubs say it is the result of the law, that employers will be eliminating jobs because the ACA forces them to provide healthcare to their employees…but, of course, the repubs take the headline and try to turn it to political advantage when it says no such thing…what the report really says is that with independent health insurance available that is not tied to any employer, more people will say “go to hell” to bad employers that they have been tolerating just to get health insurance…and many of those people will be able to finally retire with insurance they can afford before Medicare. So, what to do the repubs have against freedom? Oh, they are okay with freedom if is the freedom of employers to screw with their employees who couldn’t get health insurance before the ACA, but they just hate the fact that the ACA has taken away some leverage from employers to do whatever they want…to keep wages low since they had their employees over the healthcare barrel…and now, that the needle has swung just a little back to normal, ordinary people, the repubs are going crazy…under the orders of their corporate masters, of course….geez…
This is what the right does in Wisconsin…
Well…just read about a new suit that has been filed in Wisconsin that is attempting to overturn their constitutional amendment against same sex marriage…which is not too unusual given that all of those laws and amendment violate the 14th amendment’s equal protection clause…one thing that these pricks in Wisconsin did that has flown under the national radar exposes the hate they have for gays in their state…the so-called “marriage evasion” law that makes it a criminal offense for gays to go to other states and get married…yep, you heard it right…in Wisconsin, it is illegal for anyone to go to another state to “contract a marriage that is prohibited or void in Wisconsin”…basically saying that Wisconsin’s laws trump the laws of any other state…and anyone doing that can go to jail for 9 months and have to pay a $10,000 fine…just don’t know what to say about the hate filled asses that could write and pass such a law…but we do know who signed it into law…everyone’s buddy ole Scott Walker…try running for president on that you idiot…geez…
Here’s another problem with the right…
Well…not sure if you watched the interview that Obama did with ole Billo before the SB, but I thought Obama did a good job at stabbing at the premise of Fox news and the fact that the “scandals” they report on are mostly only scandals since they are the ones pushing them as scandals. One of the inferences that has been made on Fox news for quite a while now is that Obama must have know what was going on in some IRS office in Cleveland and probably even was in on planning who was to get audited by that office…even though there is no paper trail or any person saying that he was…and, what president would have time for that? Then, of course, the right then goes on to complain that, if he didn’t know what was going on, he should resign since he is a bad president by not knowing. Got that logic? Okay, now let’s look at the reaction of the right to Christie’s shenanigans in NJ….and the theme that comes through all of the right’s reaction is that of course he couldn’t have had anything to do with it…after all, he said he didn’t and that should be good enough for anyone…and how dare you question anything a repub does? So, Obama should resign for something some far-removed subordinate did but Christie should stay in office for something his inner circle did….yep, doesn’t make much sense but the right never does…they always feel that they can do whatever they want even if it is against the law, but if they even think in their fevered brains that a dem might have, could have, or thought about doing the same things, they should be lined up and shot…what must it be like to live in one of those fevered brains? Don’t want to find out….geez…
Last one for the month…
Well…have a few minutes so I thought I’d get the last one for the month done before pool today so I won’t have to think about it…but, I’m not sure what to write about so it may be a little disjointed….I did want to comment on the whining, whining, whining that ole Mitt and his wife are doing about losing the election…my god, get over it! It was 15 months ago..you lost…but that doesn’t stop them from continually trying to assert that the country would be better off with ole Mitt as president…and the 1% would be, of course, but the rest of the country? Not for a minute….man, what is it about the rich that makes them such whiners? Just go back to your 10 homes and car elevators and leave the rest of us alone…even when Al Gore had the election stolen by the supreme court, you didn’t hear him whine about it…he went on to other things and got on with his life…geez…
The republican response to their war on women…
Well…have just been reading about the new repub talking point that will try to distract voters from their war on women…a war that is clear from what they do, trying to restrict birth control access, trying insert the government into women’s healthcare decisions, and trying to charge women more for their insurance since they have “ladyparts” that are more complex than men’s parts and can cost their friends in the insurance industry more money for claims. But now, the new talking points are out and here is what they consist of: trying to say that the dems are really the ones who are pushing the war on women since Bill Clinton fooled around…yep…the false equivilency that they have been pushing in the media for years, that the haters and racists on the right are the same as the social justice folks on the left is now being rolled out to try to say that one man cheating is the same as an entire party who makes it their reason for being to restrict the rights of women. Just another bit of idiocy from one of the best idiots on the right, Rand Paul…I just can’t remember a more stupid thing to say in a long, long time…even with a bunch of these folks on the right trying hard to beat it every day…geez…
The repub response…
Well…I’m not sure if you saw the repub response to the SOTU last night, but all I can say is wow…wow…how low can you set the bar and still have a bar to jump over? It was the most inane bit of nonsense I have ever heard…but, of course, Chuck Todd is calling it a masterpiece…what the hell speech did he watch? I laughed out loud when the idiot delivering it said that the repubs want everyone to make their own healthcare decisions…but, this is the idiot that voted to eliminate the birth control benefit in Obamacare…40 times…and has gleefully voted for more and more restrictions on women making their own health decisions by making abortions harder and harder to get. Now, I should not be surprised that the repubs talk like this, but the rest of the speech where it was all platitudes, all the time with no specifics on policy is the playbook that was used all across the country to get these hard right asses elected..if they open their mouths about what their true plans are, they would be laughed out of the election…or maybe even the country….so, don’t believe the spin that the pundits are putting on this stinker of a speech…the bar is set so low that even ole GW couldn’t trip over it…geez…
Need to get caught up…
Well…I’ll have to admit that I didn’t watch the SOTU speech last night…and, coming from a political junkie, that is saying something…it’s not like I didn’t want to hear it…from what I’ve read, it had some pretty good ideas in it…things like mother, apple pie, and chevrolet that no one should be able to argue with….and even a couple of pokes in ole Boehner’s eye for wasting the country’s time with 40 votes to repeal Obamacare…but, I just couldn’t get interested in it…I think it may have more to do with the mind-numbing weather we’ve had this winter…It has started to really affect my mood and every time I think about the fact that it is not going to get better any time soon, I slide a little deeper down in the trough…I wonder if it is SAD? But, as you can see, I am running behind for the month and I do need to to a few more of these today so if you think they are a waste of time, don’t read….I will try to get to a political one later…oh, there was one good story that I wanted to share….a NY congressman threatened to throw a reporter off a balcony after the reporter asked him about the investigation into the reps ethics…can you guess if he was a repub or a dem? Yep, you’ve got it…another bully repub who thinks he can do or say anything without consequence…geez…
Dave Agema is still an idiot…
Well…if you haven’t been living in a cave over the past month or so, you have heard about the loathsome comments that the repub committeeman Dave Agema made…casting gays as murder victims and aids carriers and making the assertion that there has not been one incidence where a Muslim has done anything good for the US…these were bad enough, butt then this week, he stood in front of a repub group here in GR and doubled down on the comments, playing the normal conservative whine card that the media is trying to silence him with political correctness…yadda, yadda. Nope, Dave, you’ve got that wrong…no one is trying to silence you…especially those of us who are progressives…we just love it when you right wing idiots expose the truth of the repub party… breaking through the veneer of lies that have gotten Walker elected in Wisconsin and Snyder elected here in Michigan. One of the ironies here is that old Dave thinks that he has the right to spew his hate without consequence, but when people call him out on it, he wants those critics to be silenced so he can continue to foment hate and racism…but, Dave, it doesn’t work that way…sure, you get to be a hate filled asshole and I will defend your right to say whatever you want, but, your critics also get to call you out on your nonsense and you don’t get to play the martyr card to somehow justify your hate…keep it up, Dave, you are the best thing that has happened to we progressives here in Michigan in a long time…geez…
