Well…with all of the negative commentary about the US supplying cluster munitions to Ukraine, I wonder why all the hand wringing? I know that more than 100 countries have signed a treaty to not use them but the US, Ukraine, and Russia haven’t….and the biggest point they try to make is how dangerous unexploded bomblets are to civilians…and that is a good point with what we know about the damage these things do after the wars are over and not all of them are cleaned up…but to me the point is that Russia has already used over 100,000 of these shells all over Ukraine and the Russian dud rate is more than 30% compared to 1.5% for American munitions…and here’s another point…the US has more than 5 million of these shells of various types and Ukraine is running short of regular artillery shells and being able to use these cluster munitions will get rid of that shortage and give them the tools to attack the trenches that Russian has built all over Ukraine…Ukraine is the country that is going to deal with the cleanup after they push Russia out so the ultimate decision should be up to them…and we should give them everything they need since they are doing the worlds work in beating Russia…and crippling Russia will do great things for the world’s future…so let’s help them…

They planned deaths from covid…
Well…as I’ve talked about before, during the start of the covid pandemic (which is still going on) when the idiot trump could have done something to save lives, initial data showed that black and brown people were doing most of the dying from covid…and most of them were in blue states so the idiot made the calculation that he could motivate his white nazi base by making sure they knew that covid was essentially attacking the people they hated anyway and the push to get people back to work were the people in the service industries which are disproportionately staffed by black and brown people…and the latest studies that have been done show that over 500,000 extra people have died because of a political calculation that idiot boy made that he thought that letting these people die would help him get re-elected…no other reason…just the selfish bullshit he’s pulled his entire life where no one matters but him…this should be enough to put him in jail for the rest of his life…but it won’t and that is what’s wrong with this country…geez…
OTC birth control…
Well…in a blow to the right wing misogynists who are doing everything they can to control women and prevent them from controlling their own bodies, the FDA has approved the first OTC birth control for women meaning no expense of going to the doctor and no records of it’s use that the fascist repubs are trying to use to hurt women in red states…now, we know that there is going to be pushback from right wing pharmacy owners who think just because they own the company it gives them the right to screw with any woman they want to…and that goes for the pharmacists who will make sure the stores don’t stock the medicine or will do whatever they can to make it as uncomfortable for women as they can. At least the Biden admin is trying to use the power of government to help people instead of hurt them as the asshole trump and his cronies still are doing…just look at the rulings coming out of the SC lately…and Biden needs to keep it up to try to protect women in red states that can’t get the hell out of dodge and move to a blue state that protects women’s rights….keep it up, Joe…geez….

Well…I’m sure you’ve seen and I’ve talked about the almost comically corrupt Clarence Thomas on the supreme court who has been taking millions of dollars in gifts from people who have cases in front of the court…and since there are no rules that apply to him, he hasn’t recused himself from any of those cases and the donors are sure getting what they paid for in rulings…but it has been revealed just today that it hasn’t been just gifts of trips, travel, and vacations…but just raw cash that has been paid to his aide’s Venmo account that I’m sure ended up in Thomas’s pocket….how much more corrupt does he have to be for even one damn repub to call for his resignation? Yeah…he would have to shoot someone and then they still wouldn’t do a damn thing about it…at least Dick Durbin is introducing a bill that sets ethics rules for the SC like full disclosure of any gifts similar to what every other damn federal judge has to comply with…but what really needs to happen is expansion of the court to keep these right wing illegitimate judges from screwing up the country further…geez…

Well…with the House fixated on trying to dig up and dirt on Joe Biden no matter if it’s true or not, and James Comer and Ron Johnson are right in the middle of it saying that they have a “whistleblower” who has all of the information that would show that Biden took bribes while he was vice president…after these big announcements, these idiots announced that the “whistleblower” had disappeared but that was okay because he was a “spy” and that happens with them all the time…and they were right in that one fact but he didn’t disappear because he was a spy…he disappeared since he is wanted for being an illegal arms dealer all over the world…oh, and by the way, he is really a spy for China…and Johnson and Comer knew that and didn’t care…they are so obsessed with finding anything that Biden did wrong that they will work with our enemies to hurt our country just as long as it is the dems they are hurting….bu this is nothing new with the repubs…they have been working with Russia and other enemies to take and keep power since they looked the other way when Russia installed trump and they still want to work with their disgraced “spy” to hurt Biden…they have no patriotism or shame…vote them all out…geez…
Another win for Joe and Michigan…
Well…it looks like we are all going to have to shout Joe Biden’s accomplishments since the media won’t…and the latest is a win for Michigan supported by the Inflation Reduction act is a Norwegian company called Nel Hydrogen who are going to build a 500 million dollar factory to build components necessary to generate hydrogen gas in Michigan…and this is part of 435 billion dollars of clean energy investments by foreign companies in the US…and with the vision of Biden and his advisors, the US is quickly becoming the world hub for hydrogen technology that will allow us to become an exporter of this energy and with being the first, we are on pole position to be the world leader in exporting…something that never would have happened if the repubs were in control…and if we can take back the House in 2024, we can lock in a clean energy future here in the US that repubs won’t be able to sabotage in fealty to the dirty fossil fuel industry….their days are numbered and they know it…let’s get rid of the subsidies we pay them to help their demise…geez…

Well…just read an article where the author described what desantis is doing to Florida is “Brexiting” the state…okay you may not know what Brexit is…it’s the vote that England mad to leave the European Union since the liars that were pushing it said they would be better off economically if they left…didn’t work out that way with no growth and high unemployment along with shortages of food and medicine…and the almost collapse of the National Health Service…along with all of the labor from the EU that left and that the British don’t want to do…so, in Florida higher education is collapsing since desantis has put so many restrictions on what can be taught and how it can be taught…an all of the undocumented workers are leaving the state since they can be charged with a felony if they stay…leaving produce rotting in the fields…and now there is a huge Malaria outbreak that is going to get worse since desantis fired all the competent people in public health and replaced them with his anti vax toadies…the comment was so on the nose since both brexit and Florida’s problems were caused by ideological assholes lying about the effect would be when they knew it wouldn’t be good…geez…
Citizens strike again…
Well…it looks like people in red states are starting to get the idea that even though the repubs have gerrymandered the states so that they are in control even when getting less votes than dems, the people in some of them are striking back with citizen initiatives that puts popular laws in place that the repubs are blocking…as we did here in Michigan when we voted to put women’s rights into our constitution, the voters of Ohio just turned in double the number of signatures needed to get restoring women’s right on the ballot…at present, it only takes 50.1% of the vote to make these initiatives the law in Ohio, but of course the repubs want to take the people’s say away by changing the passing percentage to 60, making it much tougher for citizens to have their say…so, another citizen initiative is on the ballot for August 8 that would restore the people’s rights…but since this is a single issue election, the turnout will probably be too small to pass it….and that will doom the women’s rights initiative that will be voted on in November…typical repub bullshit…they can’t win with unpopular ideas so take away the rights of citizens to challenge them…man I hat repubs…geez…
Can we just ignore the supreme court?
Well…with the corrupt supreme court making rulings on nothing but thin air for their right wing politics, my question is: can we just ignore the supreme court? What are they going to do…they have no enforcement arm or police…are they going to stamp their little feet and hold their breath until they get their way? The AG of Arizona already stood up and said that they have their own anti discrimination laws on the books and she will usethemt to prosecute anyone who pulls that discrimination bullshit and followed up that any case that is based on lies is not legitimate….and that’s what this case was…and it was decided illegally when the SC justices knew it was a fake case and they took it anyway…this decision needs to be vacated and there needs to be consequences for the lawyers who perjured themselves during the trials since they knew it was fake, too…geez…

Well…we all know that every damn repub is a huge hypocrite and they are all at it again…with the announcement of some of the money from the infrastructure bill that the dems passed and Biden signed is going to go to extend broadband internet access to all of the country, here come the repubs taking credit for it back in their states…like the senator from Alabama, tommy tuberville who came out with a statement saying that it is a great thing and really needed for Alabama…and he said it with a straight face even though he knew he voted against the bill…then we have the idiot boebert railing about not getting a new bridge for her state when other places are getting bridges and roads…again, she voted against the infrastructure bill and spouts off against it damn near every day so I think it’s justice that her pet bridge is not funded…for all of these morons, their job is to scream and yell but they never even think of legislating for their constituents…maybe think next time morons…geez
