Well…have been trying to think of something to write about…again…so I think I’ll just update and go from there…I did get out on the bike today but I just can’t understand how it starts raining every time I’m as far away as I can get…it rained so hard today that I couldn’t see at times and I was completely soaked and dripping when I got back…and I am starting to get a little miffed with the NWS and their radar since I checked it before I left and the closest rain was on the other side of the lake…and then it starts raining a half hour into the ride….and I know that rain doesn’t travel at 180 MPH….and, it was so cold that I couldn’t shift or pick the bike up to carry it back in here..oh, well….survived it and now it’s warm again…more later…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool…didn’t get out to have lunch with T, though, so I was a little disappointed in that….but, with her working now, that is to be expected…slept okay last night and I feel okay today…still a little run down but I think it’s the allergies again…have been coughing and sneezing all morning and I am really tired of it….I guess I’ll see how bad it is going to be after the bike ride…haven’t been on the bike in two days with all of the rain and cold but I am getting out right now to get it done before Man U comes on at 10…it is going to be a sports day today with soccer, racing, and the Kentucky Derby on later today so that will keep me busy and not thinking today….more later…

Well….running a little late today and feel a little crappy…might be that I didn’t get the bike ride in yesterday or maybe that I had a couple of cocktails…not sure which but I know the allergies are a part of it….slept okay but I am exhausted again today so I guess I need to eat more…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…got sucked into watching a movie…finally watched Gravity on my son’s server and it was okay…some of it was pretty far-fetched but the effects were cool…not sure if it should have been Oscar nominated but I feel that way about American Hustle, too….not much to do today…need to wait for the temp to come up to get on the bike and then out to lunch with T and then out for pool….that will probably take most of the energy I have for the day so that will be it…more later…
I want to move to Canada…
Well…the news coming out of this country over the past few years has reached a point for me where I’m not sure it can be saved…the crazy asses on the right have ruined this once great country with their violent, hate filled lives that have spilled over into everything…the latest was this guy from Minnesota who had his house broken into once and decided he was going to kill the next people who did it…hid his car, loaded up three guns, started the video and hid in his basement waiting for it to happen again…oh, left his house unlocked, too…okay, I know, I have no sympathy for people that break the law but when did burglary become a death sentence? The incident unfolded with a 15 year old boy and girl breaking into his house, looking around and going down into the basement where the homeowner was waiting…the unarmed 15 year old went down the stairs and this guy shot him 6 times in the chest…and while he was dying, shot him in the head to make sure…then, the girl came down the stairs and this idiot shot her in the chest another six times…but since she was not dying fast enough, he put a gun under her chin and executed her….laughing all the time with glee. Then the guy calls the cops fully expecting to be treated like a hero but was arrested for first degree murder and the tapes show he couldn’t understand why…he thought it was just fine to kill anyone who he thought should be…after all, Zimmerman chased down Trayvon Martin, shot him and got away with it. The worst part is that after this guy was convicted, Sean Hannity went on his show today with nothing but support for this murderer….when does this crap start to have consequences for him? When does his support of crazies in Utah arming themselves and threatening federal agents have consequences? I’ve had enough of this gun and death fetish crap here…I think the UN should issue a travel warning about tourists coming to the US…when the dollars stop flowing, the NRA will be pushed aside by business and maybe some sanity will be restored…still want to move to Canada….geez…

Well…BENGHAZI!!!! Just had to get hat one out since the repubs are back on that kick again…as Dave Weigel said this morning that no matter what the repubs say, there is no more there there…still the propaganda wing of the party, Fox news, is on the all Benghazi all the time kick they were on a few months back….all this because the administration trusted the CIA analysis and used it in a press conference…I guess this is so much worse than lying us into war and spending 5,000 American lives and 6 trillion dollars on those lies…and being cheerleaders for breaking international law and torturing people…of course it’s worse, it was done by the administration of the dem in office…and just being in office and being a dem is an impeachable offense to the idiots on the right….geez…
May 1st
Well…at another one of the worst days of the month…have to pay the rent today and that always makes me a little depressed…slept okay last night and had some strange dreams that included mail…lots of mail and riding my bike….not too weird but just enough…didn’t do much yesterday but some stuff around here and today looks like the same for the most part…do need to do the grocery run and get my hair cut but that will only keep my busy until about 9:30 then it looks like a slip into the normal routine…it is a leftover day so there will be no cooking today but venison tacos tomorrow….feel okay today but that is from being good for a 4th day in a row and my tooth not hurting…well…just a little but it is much better than it has been…hope it stays that way….more later…
Smart guys in NC…
Well…wanted to get to the last one for the month and one fell into my lap…and it really make me smile…in NC this week a group of religious organizations backed by the UCC (United Church of Christ) filed suit to overturn the ban on same sex marriage there…and the really neat little twist is that they are basing it on religious grounds…the same weapon that the haters on the right have been using to prevent these marriages until now. What the UCC is saying is that their right to practice their religion and run it as they see fit is being restricted by the ban on same sex marriages there and are using the first amendment that states that there can be no laws that restrict the free exercise of religion to hit back at the haters since the UCC says that it is okay in their church for same sex couples to get married. I applaud these creative people and the turnabout that they have played on the right….I just hope that the judge that gets the case sees it as clear as it it…
April 30th
Well….it was a trying day yesterday and i am still feeling it today…with no sleep, I was not of sorts for the whole day and I don’t feel much better today with being up and down all night but don’t have a lot to do today so I can deal with that…I do need to do some work around here and get the bike ride in but I think I’ll keep it low key the rest of the day…still sore everywhere and I had hoped that getting more and more active on the bike would have started to address it but the wind blowing 25 plus has not helped….need to take it easy for a while before I go out for the papers…more later…
A few things…
Well…there have been a few things happen over the past couple of days that I thought deserved comment so here we go…first, a federal court has stricken the new, repub sponsored voter id law for doing exactly what the repubs wanted it to do…disenfranchise the poor and minorities and I hope that this is the start of the end of the false “voter fraud” crap the the repubs have been pushing for decades now even though none has ever been found…there was another good decision by the supreme court yesterday that says that the EPA really does have the power to regulate greenhouse gasses under the clean air act…this is another one of those repub sponsored attacks on the EPA since they truly believe that their bosses should be allowed to pollute as much as they want while pushing the costs of that pollution on the American people; not the polluters who are actually doing it…so, this should put the rest to these types of suits especially since this was a 6-2 decision with no wavering by the majority…so sorry polluters…geez…
Hater in chief…
Well…have just read an article about ole sister Sarah’s speech in front of the NRA this past week and I can’t believe how much hate has permeated the right since she was unleashed on the country…and, this last speech had one line that distilled it down to it’s essence…”If I were in charge, waterboarding would be baptizing terroists” or some such nonsense as that….so, this darling of the right, this supposed upholder of everything American is willing to discard everything the US has stood for since it’s inception just to look tough and throw red meat to the lunatics that are now running the repub party? She should be called the hater in chief with views like that…hate the Muslims, hate the gays, hate the progressives, hate the immigrants, hate the minorities…hell, hate everyone unless they are part of the tiny fringe in this country who still think slavery was a good idea and that any white person is just better than anyone else….this is what they’ve devolved into…and she is the hater in chief…or grifter in chief….either one fits…or both fit….geez…
