Well…just read an interesting article about the post mortem of the Virgina races that was done by one of the higher ups in the RNC and all I can say is that these folks really have gone over the line into delusions…what this idiot comes out and says is that the conventional wisdom that they lost the election because they were too far to the right is just wrong…if they had only talked more about taking way womens rights, about hating gays, and the ACA, they would have won in a landslide…no matter what the polls said…they were just not mean and assholish enough. The only thing I have to say to that is “please proceed” keep reminding people that you don’t care about anyone unless they are rich and white…people will just flock to that kind of message and vote you in for life. They just don’t get that the country is getting away from them…and with these changes, they can’t even beat a weak dem candidate for governor.
Oh, the lies part…just one more reason to understand what the repub party has become…they have set up a fake website in California and sent out official fliers on official stationary sending people to the fake website that is full of lies about the ACA that have all been debunked…and the taxpayers of Cali are footing the bill for this crap…I hope the repubs feel good when they convince people to not sign up for insurance and they either go bankrupt when a medical emergency happens or they die since they don’t get the care they need….what a bunch of absolute assholes….geez…
Well…it was another long day yesterday and the Lions lost, again, so that made it even worse…but, I shouldn’t be surprised at that….slept okay, I think, since the blankets and pillows are still on the bed and not the floor but I am a little tired this morning…I am looking forward to another week of no cocktails…I was pretty good last week and felt so much better…so, I’ll keep it up to try to keep my weight down now that I can’t ride the bike….not too motivated this morning but I do need to work out at some point…but, I think I’ll have my second cup of coffee first….not much to do today…I am going to clean some since the kitchen really needs it and the bathroom could use some work, too…so, another boring day…more later…
Well…if there wasn’t enough evidence that the repubs are irony challenged, we have just one of the most delicious ones I have seen n a long, long time with the refusal of the idiot repub governors to allow for Medicaid expansion in their states. Since Medicaid is funded by general tax revenues, the people in the red states that refuse the expansion are going to have to help pay for the expansion in the states that accepted it…so, for example, Texas is going to be contributing 9 billion dollars that they will get nothing for…the same for other red states like Georgia who will pay 3 billion and get nothing, and Florida who will pay 5 billion and get nothing. so, let’s recap…just because these prick governors just don’t give a damn about poor people and are trying to do anything to derail the ACA,, they are going to help pay for Michigan’s expansion while their people get nothing for their money…if I lived in one of those states, I would be really pissed off…but, they keep electing these thugs so maybe they deserve it…geez…
Well…it was a long day yesterday and the party at G’s was lots of fun…did come home pretty early…at 10, but 5 hours of wine and food was enough for me and the drive home was quite easy…and, the drive was only 15 minutes by back road so it was not a bad one…slept okay last night, I think, but feel pretty crappy today with getting up at 5:30 so there will be a nap sometime in the future…the bean dip I made for the party was a hit and it really did come out good for just winging it…okay…need to hit the couch for a while and have my coffee…but first, not much to do today…going to just veg the day away and watch foot ball…more later…
Well…it was a long day yesterday with going out for pool…which I lost again…and then out to meet up with K and V for a couple and then having a cocktail night…feel okay this morning, though, which is a little bit of a surprise…and it looks like today is going to be another busy one with meeting up with C this aft and then the big dinner party at G’s…I am looking forward to the party but it will be nice to be home when it is over..I am glad I put the snowies on the car this week…they are just so much better than the summer tires and they do look kind of cool….and it looks like snow later today so the trip down to Dorr will be safer….not much to do today…other than what I’ve already said that is…just going to hang out and wait to hear from C and do some reading this morning…low key stuff…more later…
Well…another budget showdown looms and I read one line from one of the hardline righties in the House that made me laugh my butt off…in defending the lowered funding in the sequester budget, one of these idiots said that the sequester is “the law of the land” and said that the dems should respect that. To quote Daffy Duck “it is to laugh”…from these same idiots who have railed against and tried to remove the ACA 41 times…which is also “the law of the land”, I wonder if they are so irony impaired that they don’t realize that this one is an ocean of irony? I long for the days when there were big politicians who could put party nonsense behind and do what is right for the country…which is not to continue to waste time taking insurance away from millions of Americans. There are days when I wonder if anything can be done to fix these idiots…probably not…geez…
Well…it was an interesting day yesterday and the rift with G was repaired so that was something…got to go out and see her new house and it is pretty nice…slept okay last night and I am starting to get used to the new sleep patterns and think that the key is to not get frustrated by waking up all night…that lowers my stress levels significantly and I think that helps…didn’t ride the bike and I think I’m going to skip again today since it is only 24 degrees outside and I just can’t get motivated to get out the full thermasuit…I did figure out that I have a cd player in the car and have gotten away from just listening to the radio…and I found a cd that I have been looking for for two years and that made me smile…didn’t look too hard since it took two years but it was still a pleasant surprise…feel pretty good today with having 5 days now of being good but that will end today and tomorrow…trying to get out of the habit of cocktails and it looks like with some success…not much to do today…pool, of course, but I’m broke so I may have to skip…it is hard for me to be a mooch… more later….
Well…just a short one on how screwed up our police and courts are….just read an article about a homeless guy in NYC who was cutting through traffic on a busy street…kind of snarling it…and the cops asked him to stop and get out of the street…when he didn’t, the cops opened fire on him…imagine that, being shot at for jaywalking, but, that’s not the worst of it…since the cops were such good shots, they shot two bystanders with the hail of bullets they thought was necessary force for a misdemeanor at best…and now, they are charging the homeless guy with the assault of the two bystanders…yep, not the cops, but the guy that they shot at…just when I thought the cops couldn’t get any worse, they do…what a bunch of crap….those cops should be prosecuted for unsafe discharge of a weapon and fired…geez…
Well…it was a normal day turned ugly yesterday with a huge, huge argument with G again that is making me reconsider whether I ever want to see her again….so there will be no dinner party with her Sat and that will save me some cash and allow me to just relax around here…I did get the snowies on the car but the one that I left flat all summer is not sealing too well…I did add some of the tire sealer that I carried in the trunk all summer but had to let it thaw to be able to do that…the damn can was frozen solid and it took about 3 hours to make it usable…and, the tire was up this morning so maybe I have it fixed…and the newly painted wheels look okay from about 20 feet…the car was not starting too well yesterday but I think it was leaving the radio and fan on for an hour as I put the tires on…started okay this morning so maybe that was it…slept okay last night and am still in the same pattern of sleeping for a couple of hours and then up but I don’t feel too bad today….probably since this is going to be the 5th day of being good…looks like no bike ride today since the wind is already blowing over 20 and I got to the goal for the year yesterday….I do need to work out so I’ll end here…more later…
Well…as you know, I have been detailing the crazy in the repub party for quite a while now and it looks like I’ll have to keep doing it for another long while with the latest revelation that these idiots have been holding formal meetings trying to put together impeachment proceedings against Obama for Benghazi or some other things that they aren’t even sure of…but, they just know that he should be impeached since he won the last election and didn’t give the repubs everything they wanted. I really, really hope they do it…and I can’t wait for the ads and the dems getting up on the floor of the house and asking why the felony torturer in chief, ole GW wasn’t impeached for things the really are high crimes and misdemeanors….man, these guys have gone over the crazy falls this time but I think they will be looking for another one as soon as they hit bottom from this one….how much more stupid can you get? Gonna be fun to watch…
