Well…the stupid it burns in the idiot trump…as always what he promises the American people is always a lie…he promised his tariffs would bring back manufacturing and mining jobs and that hasn’t happened…in fact just this year we’ve shed almost 100,000 manufacturing jobs and for the past 4 months we’ve lost almost 60,000 jobs a month and now the idiot has put all of the wind and solar projects on hold so we will be seeing layoff of all the people who worked to manufacture the equipment and install it for these projects…and that will be another 100,000 jobs gone…and just because the moron in chief was pissed that they put a wind power installation offshore of one of his tack golf clubs in Scotland…yep, the petty son of a bitch is perfectly willing to put hundreds of thousands of people out of work just for one of his petty grudges…I sure hope lots of the workers are maga folks…they deserve it after voting for this asshole…
December 23rd
Well…up before 5 am this morning and didn’t sleep at all last night so I’m going to have to take something for it tonight…a full week of not sleeping and I am just worn out…so the coffee needs to work soon so I can get going…need to hit the library again today since I have 6 books to take back and I need enough of them to get through the week…going to buy another BAH since they are so cheap and I need another ham bone to make another batch of ham soup…put the other one in the freezer yesterday so I’ll have to make some chicken I thawed for a meal today…don’t have a lot to do but the grocery run but that is going to be a lot of work…damn, I’m getting old…more later…
Going back to discount…
Well…after my first e-way ride with the new tires, I’ll be going back to discount tire after the 1st to have them re-balanced since at around 70, they shake the car so bad the mirrors are fuzzy…darn…not the first time this has happened but it is still a pain in the butt…oh, well…went out to get my blood drawn this morning and they threw a new test on me…had to pee in a cup since I had some results last time that sent me to a full abdominal ultrasound that didn’t find anything…I am just getting tired of all the tests and the stress it causes me…I think I’m at the point that I don’t want the attention anymore and I’m going to choose to stop this crap…I mean if it’s something that’s going to kill me without symptoms I may just let it happen…I’m tired and I’ll at least have a few months to get my affairs in order and get an updated will done…a little more than an hour before I head in to GR…it will be nice to see K after 3 years…
Trump is killing Jim Beam…
Well…everyone knows that the idiot trump’s trade policies are hurting damn near every business in the US and this one put a big ole stamp on it…Jim Beam, the bourbon distiller, has shut down it’s main distillery for a year since there is so much bourbon in storage…16 million barrels across all manufacturers and the main reason is the idiot’s stupid tariffs that have closed markets in Canada and Europe…and I’m sure Jack Daniels won’t be far behind…after all, Canada was 35% of the market for American bourbon and they have stopped buying completely in retaliation for idiot boy slapping tariffs on everything Canadian…so now layoffs are coming for all of the maga folks who work at Beam…just like they came for the Tyson workers in Oklahoma when they shut down their meat packing plant and put 3,200 workers out of a job…and this was caused by nothing being exported anymore due to the stupid tariffs again…no wonder only 23% of people approve of how the idiot is handling the economy…geez…
December 22nd
Well…up and out of bed at 5am today and that is going to make for a long day…need to go out to the north end to get blood drawn for tests and I am getting damn tired of it…just tired of all of it from the tests to being told I’m not taking care of myself and getting my BP and everything else under control…cripes, I’m 72 years old and maybe my cholesterol is supposed to be a little high…but the thing that they should be working on is of little importance…I would love to be able to taste food again but when I complain about that they frickin ignore it…so yeah, I’m a little frustrated….oh, well…need to get my butt in gear right now but the coffee is not ready yet…going to get both rides in before I head out…or I may just leave it with one ride today…haven’t done that in a while…need to make the run into GR today the hang with K for a bit and I’m sure the car can use some exercise…more later…
Impeach Pam Bondi…
Well…with the AG Pam bondi breaking the law by not releasing all of the Epstein files on the 19th as she was required to do, there are dem legislators who are drawing up articles of impeachment against her…and they should…she is not only incompetent but blatantly breaking the law…the law releasing the files said All of the files, not some of them, not redacted ones, not dribbling them out over weeks, and not to protect the idiot trump as people who have seen the whole files have said…I mean idiot boy with a 14 year old girl? It’s in there but redacted and there are many, many instances where the idiot was with underage girls and every damn one of them were redacted…so house dems are working to get the voted to charge Bondi with inherent contempt to bypass idiot boy’s corrupt justice department and arrest her under their authority and send the sergeant at arms to arrest her…please do that…someone there needs to follow the law…geez..
Happy winter solstice…
Well…happy winter solstice everyone! Now the real hunkering down starts as it’s the first official day of winter…you’d ever know that with how much snow we’ve had out here…I mean we’re already over the yearly average in snowfall and there is still over two months of winter til March…but we got up to almost 40 yesterday which melted a bunch of it and, after the 20’s today, we are going to be in the 30’s and 40’s this week so the snow may be gone before New Years…I can use some rest from shoveling to let my body heal up from all of the abuse from it…so now the grind back to increased sunlight starts today and we should start to notice that in a couple of weeks…
December 21st
Well…up at 5:07 again today and I am so damn tired of not sleeping…yeah, that was funny to me, too…it’s 20 degrees out there and it’s not going to get much warmer today but it will warm up some this week and we’ll be back in the 40’s for a couple of days…we’ve had a lot of snow melt here and the 18inches I had on my roof is gone along with the ice build up in my gutters…was a little worried that the ice would do some damage but none yet…I’m almost over the cold but I’m still sniffling so I need to get some allergy meds in me to get some relief from that…didn’t get much done yesterday and won’t today and that’s okay…I’ve had enough of working my ass off every day…okay, still going to do the weight work and two rides this morning but I need to get coffee in me first…going to need to hit the library Tuesday since I only have two books left of the 6 I got last week…need to get blood work done tomorrow morning and then the run into GR in the afternoon and that is going to wear me out…more later…
Another easy day…
Well…yeah, I’m getting pretty repetitive with the titles lately so I’ll do better tomorrow…it WAS an easy day after getting the normal stuff done…went over 3,500 miles on the indoor bike today and with the 5,283 outdoors it gets me to 8,791 miles for the year…with just a bit over a week left I’ll get probably another 100 miles in…not bad for a year that I had no goals…and that is a record for indoors for a year from 3,151 last year…not bad for an old guy…going into GR Monday afternoon to meet up with K for a bit…haven’t seen her in almost 3 years so that will be fun…and the car could use a good run out…okay, need to read more…it’s another one meal day today…but I think I need to stop that…could be one of the reasons I feel so worn out…I guess we’ll see…
Finally the dems grow a spine…
Well…finally, the dems in the house with the leadership of Hakeem Jeffries have grown a spine and have figured out ways to sideline the do nothing speaker of the house Johnson…when Johnson refused to bring a bill to the floor that would extend the ACA subsidies for three more years, Jeffries convince a couple of repubs that it was the right thing to do and he then used a discharge petition to force a floor vote and the measure passed…and now Jeffries has the method nailed down to just go around Johnson and get work done for the American people…and it’s about time…I have been bitching about this for years, that someone in the dem party needed to step up and stop the idiot trump from running roughshod over our democracy…and I think this is going to make the blye wave in ’26 into a blue tsunami…it’s about time…geez…
