Well…there were a few bombshells from the todd blanche hearings this week and the biggest one is that we all found out what’s important to idiot boy…two repub senators said they wouldn’t vote for the corrupt, unethical blanche until they got it in writing that the scam “lawsuit” against the IRS that gave idiot boy 1.8 billion dollars to pay the thugs who attacked the capitol but also gave him and his friends complete immunity from any investigations/audits from the IRS forever…this travesty was thrown out by the courts who then referred blanche and all of the lawyers working with him to their state bar associations for sanctions since they violated every rule in the book…so the two senators said they wouldn’t vote for blanche unless they had it in writing that the corrupt agreement was dead…when idiot boy heard that he withdrew the nomination of blanche until next year since he really wants the immunity agreement even though the courts have said it’s illegal….and the landscape for getting blanche through the senate is even going to look worse next year when we take control of the senate…so idiot boy is seething that he didn’t get his pet lawyer through or his immunity agreement…poor baby…geez…
July 31st
Well…slept a little better last night and didn’t get out of bed til after 5am and that sure as hell is better than 3:33…still had the damn lack of energy yesterday afternoon but it only lasted a little while and I’m hoping it doesn’t happen again today…I did look for new seals for the doors and they are really cheap…can get a set for 13 bucks at menards so it will be cheap to do both the front and back doors…and I’ll just remove them from the front so I don’t have to mask them off when I paint that trim…maybe today…I do need to mow the front of the lawn today but the rest of it can wait til next week…it’s supposed to rain tonight and into tomorrow with almost an inch forecast but again, I’ll believe that when I see it…the last rain didn’t do any good as far as I can see…damn, I’m running late this morning and should be suiting up to get on the bike right now but I haven’t had my bagel yet and I need the fuel to support everything I need to do today…I did see 24 deer on the first ride yesterday after not seeing any for a couple of days and that was pretty cool…and the full moon really lit things up so I could get out early…not going to happen today but I will be on the bike by 6:30 after I pour down another cup of coffee….more later…
Went out to the beach…
Well…after not being out to the beach all week, I decided to go out there today but the water was too darn cold to swim so it was kind of a worthless trip…I know I’m whining about going to the beach and that’s pretty weird…it was still an hour and half of relaxing but I’m still having problems doing that…oh, well…when I got back here I washed the back door and used car wax to wax it so it would look nice like the trim does…and it does look nice so now I guess it’s time to do the trim on the door to the garage and then wash and wax that door, too… and the front door trim is showing it’s age, too so I should give that a once over…but it will be easier since I don’t have to do the raw wood on the inside of the door this time…it was so clear today that I could see the smokestack of the power plant in Grand Haven today from 12 miles away and it’s been a while since I could say that….going to have to hit the freezer for meals tomorrow or make the potato soup I’ve been talking about for weeks…not sure which yet…I’ll have another easy day tomorrow with nothing to do but the weights and bike rides and maybe out to the beach again…we’ll see…I could probably get the front door trim painted but it may rain tomorrow night so I’ll have to check the weather first…
Heading for a recession…
Well…with the announcement this morning that growth in the economy slowed to 1.5%, I think my earlier prediction that we are heading towards no growth or a recession is on the mark…I mean the new tariffs that the idiot in chief just imposed is going to take away 1,100 dollars in spending power from every family in this country…essentially a tax increase of 1,100 dollars that will no longer be spent on growth but just to maintain what was already being spent…and every damn economist (other than the red hatted ones) know that tax increases of this size from the entire economy slows down growth that will be even worse with the costs of the Iran war thrown in that will show up in the 3rd quarter…so we have imbeciles running the economy…or I should say an imbecile since every thing that is happening is a decision of idiot boy not anyone else…so when you go to vote this fall, remember that…that the small luxuries you used to be able to afford are gone because of the idiot trump and his repub enablers…not “socialism” or “communism” but because of the repubs and the moron in chief…geez…
July 30th
Well…I still don’t understand how not sleeping at all night before last doesn’t mean I would sleep like a rock last night…I should have but nope…still tossing and turning all night and up again at 5am…and I worked my butt off all day so shouldn’t that have tired me out? Oh, well….today is going to be an easier one and I’ll try to get out to the beach this morning if it’s warm enough…it got down to 60 last night and that will make for nice rides today that I will get started as soon as the sun comes up…went out in the dark yesterday to get the rides in before the grocery run but I don’t have any schedule today…the trim painting came out okay even though I didn’t thin the paint down…maybe that will make it last longer than a few months…I do need to order new gaskets for the door since it’s southern exposure has destroyed them as they bake every day…and, depending how easy it is to replace them, I need to do the front door seals, too…damn, have almost 1,500 bucks going out next month for car insurance and property taxes so I may not get to my savings goal before the Italy trip…not sure why I have a goal at this point but goals are part of my life and don’t cause me any stress so I guess they’re okay….more later…
Survived the day…
Well…damn, I was expecting getting up at 3:33 in the morning would basically lay me out for the day with how exhausted I’ve been feeling lately…but I was surprised that I still got the rides in, the grocery run done, and the back door trim prepped and painted…and I still feel okay at 4:50pm…so, what the hell does that mean? I think it means that eating a lot more the past few days has been the key but it’s been the key every time I’ve felt that lousy and yet I never learned…maybe this time? I did take a 15 minute nap while reading this afternoon because I just couldn’t keep it up…so it wasn’t the coffee but I’m sure I don’t want to continue to drink 12 cups a day like I had been doing to try to stop the exhaustion…so tomorrow I don’t have a lot to do but the bike rides so I may hit the beach in the morning just to get one more swim in before the water turns permanently cold…yeah, I know…there’s still all of August and it’s usually pretty hot next month so I guess we’ll see…but, right now it’s time to go back to reading….
What a dumb move…
Well…since idiot boy has been getting bribes from companies that he has filed frivolous suits against in settlements, I guess the moron thought the BBC would fold like American companies have but he’s about to find out that foreign companies have had enough of his bullshit and are pushing back…and what the idiot doesn’t understand is that if he claims financial harm in a lawsuit, he has to prove that harm and guess what that means? Discovery starts and he has to turn over all of his financial records for the time that he is claiming the BBC telling the truth has cost him financial loss…and that means everything from the time of the BBC story…in 2021…so now, unless the idiot folds and withdraws the suit, all of his criminal financial behavior is going to be laid bare without the SC being able to protect him…he and his lawyers must have thought that this would be another cash settlement for him without revealing anything but the courts actually work in other countries and he is screwed if he keeps this going forward…I can’t wait to read about him taco’ing here…ha,ha…geez…
July 29th
Well…I think I’m doing some real damage from not sleeping and last night was the worst…up at 3:33 this morning and I am not looking forward to getting on the bike for the first time in a long time…eating more hasn’t done much and I’m still exhausted but that’s to be expected with loading not sleeping on top of it…have so much to do today with bikes, grocery run, and then prepping and painting the door trim which should take a couple of hours with wire brushing, sanding, and masking the gaskets off…the actual painting only takes about 20 minutes and I’ll get on that as soon as I get back from groceries…I may have to try better paint after this time since this glidden only lasts one year before it peels…going to get on the bike in the dark this morning to have 2 rides done before 8am…have to dig out some painting clothes from the closet that will make me look even shabbier than normal but hell, I’m getting old and shabby so I guess that fits…assholes in this neighborhood had campfires going all day yesterday so I had to close the house up to be able to breathe…who the hell does that? I mean, who stands around a fire when it’s 82 degrees? Morons and assholes that’s who…okay, need to stop being depressed and this isn’t helping….more later…and more coffee….

Well…have been shoveling the food down today to see if that’s what the problem is with being exhausted all the time…it appears to be helping some since I am still upright at almost 3pm and I don’t feel like melting into the couch…so far so good so I’ll keep it up for a few days to see if I’m on the right path or not…it’s been a pretty good day today with getting the rides and weight work done early, then I made a run out to Kohl’s to see if they had any clearance sales on so I could get some new clothes for Italy but they didn’t and I came home empty handed…then I got on doing laundry and just put that away and now I’m done for the afternoon until I have to make dinner…finished up a book today and have another one to start right now so I think I will…
Trump kills the department of justice…
Well…just read an article about judges finally having enough of the idiot trump’s “justice” department’s “lying, unlawful, unethical, and unseemly conduct”…and across the country judges are questioning whether these lawyers can be trusted to uphold centuries old legal norms…and this centers on a key principle called “the presumption of regularity” where judges presume that the government did their jobs according to the rules and in good faith…until the idiot trump started to use the justice department as his revenge machine, this tenet has always been assumed to be true but now judges are ruling that trump’s government can’t be taken at it’s word…and judges are saying that “in the history of the department of justice, and the history of jurisprudence in the US, we’ve ever seen anything close to this” is this where I comment that everything trump touches turns to shit?..It has gotten so bad that judges across the country have been referring trump’s justice department lawyers to state bar associations with recommendations for disbarment of these trump minions….and that is as it should be…as many, many lawyers have found out, if you work for idiot boy you do face the risk of losing your career or ending up in jail…and yet these morons keep saying “give me some of that” when idiot boy tells them to act unethically or illegally…not sure if that means that all lawyers are not the brightest people in the country or if it’s the ones who will work for trump who are not bright…whatever it is…the justice department is falling apart under the idiot…geez..
