Well…damn, I hurt everywhere this morning and I’m not sure why…going to have to take an ibuprofen before I get on the bike before 7…didn’t have to run the AC last night since the fan pointed at the ceiling moved enough air to do the job…still up at 3:14 and then 5:41 out of bed…going to do 2 rides this morning but I don’t have to cook with making the pizza yesterday and planning on doing the chicken masala tomorrow so that will get me to the weekend…still going to be hot the rest of the week and I’ve lost the lawn again this year…it was crunchy when I was killing the big ant nests yesterday so that’s not good…not sure about the beach today and I wonder if I should rest my skin a bit after getting red yesterday…just so damn worn out today and part of it is not eating enough…sounds like a broken record doesn’t it? Made a bean and chicken burrito for lunch and then had one piece of pizza for dinner…and that’s well under 1K calories for the day…but the sun and heat doesn’t help, either…and today will be another one…not much to do today…just the rides and thinking about the beach…it’s already 76 out here and the wind is blowing pretty hard so these rides will be a chore….more later…
Went to the beach…
Well…with it getting to 90 here today, it was a perfect day to go to the beach…and since I wanted to go in the morning, that put me out on the bike before 7am to get two rides in before 9:30…I may even do three rides in tomorrow morning before I go out there…going to try to go every day this week…I even got a short swim in to keep my streak of 66 years in a row of at least one swim in Lake Michigan…the water was cold at 58 degrees but it was colder last year…and if the lake doesn’t turn over, it may get into the 60’s by the end of the week…so maybe some extended swimming…not a lot of people out there when I went out a little after 10 and I stayed until around noon…got a little color where I needed it so that was something…might have to run the air tonight since it is still almost 90 out here and the low is going to be in the 70’s…just ran a fan last night and that was okay…I love the new swimsuit I bought over the winter…nice fabric and it fits the new 35 pounds lighter me…not bad for 15 bucks…
The gloves come off…
Well…it’s about damn time…the Biden campaign has taken off the gloves with a few new ads that call the idiot trump just what he is…a convicted felon, a tax cheat, a rapist, a fraud…do you get the picture now undecideds? Now they just need to do a better job of contrasting honest Joe with the idiot and connect Biden’s accomplishments to everyday people since the polls show that people think them equal on economic progress when the only thing that trump even got passed was tax cuts for the rich and corporations and not another damn thing…while Joe has the IRA, cut student loan debt and tons of other stuff benefits regular people and not just the rich…and c’mon…is there any comparison personally between them? Hell, no…trump is the worst person in the world and Joe is compassionate, smart and funny, and he gets things done like repairing our standing in the world after trump trashed it…we are back to leading the world that idiot boy just doesn’t care about…so never tell me there is no difference between them and all of you independents who say you are voting for idiot boy, you can just go right to hell…geez…
June 17th
Well…it’s going to be a hot one today sine it never got under 72 overnight and it’s heading to 91 this afternoon…still slept okay last night and didn’t need to put the AC on so I wonder why I put it in the window? Only had to run the little fan last night to keep the air circulating…but there are still warnings for heat on for the entire week…it is humid so I need to get on the bike before it gets much warmer…and I am going to the beach this morning before it gets to 90…and I get to use the new swimsuit I bought late last year that doesn’t hang off me like all the rest of them do with the weight I’ve lost…I think I’ll only do two rides today for 25 miles and will probably be back here before noon after the beach…don’t think I’ll get a swim in today with the water temp only 59 degrees but I will wade in up to my ankles…have been out of synch the past day or so and I’m not sure why that would be….I really could go back to bed and I think I need to take a day off at some point..too damn old to keep up this pace…I am surprised that I don’t hurt from dragging the AC unit up and installing it but that may be the 2 day rule at work…who knows? One more day of leftovers and then I’ll make a pizza tomorrow and then chicken masala Wed…have to take the chicken out of the freezer today for that and for grilling Thurs…it’s going to be a lot of effort just to live today but I’ll manage…more later…
Well…this sucks…
Well…I have been looking forward to having fresh green beans from my garden this year and today I picked the first ones…but, there is a catch…I can’t taste them anymore…and that’s all part of losing my taste that has been going on for years now and I think it’s going to get to the point where I can’t taste anything and that will really suck…oh, well…it is going to be HOT this week with temps in the 90’s tomorrow and then near 90 for the rest of the week and the news is going nuts about a “heat dome” that is going be over the eastern half of the country…with the humidity that kept building all day today it is going to be uncomfortable…I even dragged the A/C unit up from the basement and put it in my bedroom window…it doesn’t work that well but it does take the temp down to tolerable in about an hour…I know I’m getting old when carrying it up the stairs was a lot of work…think I’m going to the beach tomorrow so that means I’ll have to get two rides in early since I don’t want to be out there when it gets over 90 since I won’t be able to swim with how cold the water still is…but this week may do it…it is supposed to be 58.3 degrees today and that may be warm enough to dip in it for a splash…we’ll see…
Crap, missed the rain again…
Well…for the third day in a row, our force field that keeps rain away has worked too well…this one missed to the west and north…I can hear the thunder and the sky is black but not a frickin drop…there goes the lawn for a second straight year…I did pick the first of the green beans that I am going to steam for dinner with chicken legs and a half potato for dinner…the tomato plants are looking a little wilted but I think I’ll get at least some tomatoes this year…and I have a couple of tiny cukes and Jalapenos and green peppers on the plants and didn’t get any last year…I did cut some lettuce for the burrito I made for lunch and the broccoli is looking good…not sure when to pick the peas but I think it will be a couple more weeks until they are ready…I did get 38 miles in outdoors this morning and now I have more miles outdoors than in heading for 5,000 before my birthday…over 4,300 right now so doing 700 miles in a month shouldn’t be hard…okay, I’m worn out even with staying in bed til 6:30 this morning so I’m going to take a break and watch some soccer with England playing later this afternoon…

Well…not sure if you saw the photos of the idiot trump visiting a black church to try make the case for black people to vote for him…yeah, only thing wrong with that…not a damn person in the photo was black and all he did was attack the black community for “soaring” crime rates and said that no goes to the grocery store anymore since they can be shot for “getting a loaf of bread”…look, I just hate this asshole and the damage he’s done to this country and I am tired of writing about him but someone has to do it…we have to have our voices and use them to highlight the total absurdity of anything he does or says…especially since the lie of “soaring” crime rates is always trotted out by this asshole when the official FBI stats show that every category of crime has dropped up to 30% over the past few years…but will that ever get reported? Nope, since the media needs the clicks that a “horse race” gives them and they sure don’t want to help Biden by telling the truth…I am so damn tired…geez…
June 16th
Well…that was weird…slept through the night and didn’t get out of bed til almost 6:30 even with going to bed early last night…but I still feel pretty worn out so I’ll have to drag myself out here in 32 minutes to get the first ride in…just couldn’t force myself to have a second meal yesterday so I’ll be down on calories today…it’s going to be almost 90 out here today and into the 90’s tomorrow so I may just go to the beach to start evening out my biker tan…not sure how cold the water is but I would really like to get a swim in…last year it was cold all summer and I only was in the water a few times….but with the health problems, that was okay…it is nice to have gotten something done on the house with putting the new blinds up but I won’t be doing anything on it today…it will be enough to get two rides in…or maybe even three…there is a little wind out here and it is almost 70 at 7am so just a t-shirt and shorts for all the rides today…still pretty sore today so I’m not sure how fast I’ll be taking it…I do need to get two meals in today but I’m not sure what they will be…I have chicken legs for one but I sure don’t feel like cooking anything today so it may be another one meal day and I know that’s not smart….oh, well…more later…
Blinds are up…
Well…after the pain int he butt work to put the first new blind up yesterday, I was going to take today off and get back to it tomorrow…but after taking a half hour off, I just had to get it done so I got to work and these two only took me half hour total…I did remember the idea that if you put some wax on the screw threads they will go in easier and it worked like a champ..so all three of the new blinds are centered in the windows and perfectly level and look pretty modern…and I repaired all of the extra holes in the frames that held 10 different blinds/curtains that the previous owners never repaired…it’s nice to finally start making progress on the house again and now it’s time to start painting again…but not today…I’m done for the day and a race is going to start so I think I’ll do that instead…
Finally…reporting
Well…finally, the media is starting to report on the idiot trump’s severe mental decline after a couple of incidents over the past week…the first one was where he was doing one of typical rants when the teleprompter froze and he did, too…then to fill the time he went off on the most bonkers rant about electric boats and sharks that made no sense at all…and in a meeting with his rich supporters in DC Thursday, his decline was on full display as he could barely put a coherent sentence together and went of on rambling rants about Taylor Swift, Nancy Pelosi and anyone who has a caring wife…and finally, the media has started to report and comment with USA today saying this after the bonkers press conference after he was convicted of 34 felonies a couple of weeks back: “trump’s cheese slid off it’s cracker. It ain’t coming back”. I now know why Joe Biden wants to debate him without teleprompters…and the low information voters who aren’t paying attention will be shocked when they see him and will know he doesn’t belong anywhere near the WH…geez…
