Well…I laughed my butt of when the idiot trump got roundly booed when speaking to the Libertarian convention yesterday…no matter what he said or offered like bribes got them to like him and I can’t figure out why he was even there…after all, the modern repubs do not believe in liberty for anyone but the rich and have made more than half the population of this country second class citizens and are in a scramble to take rights away from anyone who is not straight and white while the libertarians believe in no government at all…he even cut his speech short when the boos got too loud…and that’s just like little donny…the tough guy runs away from everything…oh, and just today, while idiot boy was campaigning, someone in the crowd yelled “lock him up!” and idiot boy just scowled at it since he knows he’s going to be…good times…geez…

Well…damn, I have 5 minutes before I have to get on the indoor bike to start the day and I’m so worn out that it is going to be a struggle to get moving…the assholes up here were lighting off fireworks all night last night so I ended up sleeping with earplugs in…they need to repeal the fireworks laws that the repubs passed a few years back…what’s the point of it anyway? Freedom? For who? Today used to be my favorite race day of the year but with having to get so many miles in on the bike, it’s just work now…and I hurt my back somehow and it hurts to just sit here…crap…it looks like Indy may be rained out but I guess I’ll just have to wait to see about that…lots of storms on the radar but, with our luck out here, they will probably all just fall apart and it will stay dry even though the forecast says 100% chance of rain…still have leftovers so I don’t have to cook today but I should make some potato soup to use up the yellow potatoes before they spoil….not much to do today…just wedging in the bike rides when I can and watching the F1 race to start the day…probably won’t get the full 32 miles in today but that’s okay…feeling like I need a break after the indoor ride to heal up some…more later…
Another busy day…
Well…it seems these days that every day is a busy one even though I cut back riding to only 32 miles a day…after the indoor ride where I hit 2,000 miles for the first time ever…the next highest mileage was last year at 1,134…I wonder if I can get to 3,000 miles down there this year…then an outdoor ride before I watched F1 qualifying, then back on the outdoor bike and then I fired up the lawnmower and mowed the lawn since it was getting long and the rain coming in for tomorrow and Monday would have made it too long to mulch…but, now I’m done for the day and I’m going to watch the race that’s on after I finish this…okay, that’s it…need a break…
Finally, an investigation…
Well…aftuoer the idiot trump told oil company execs if they would give him a billion dollars, he would get rid of all environmental regs that Joe Biden has put in place in his first term…essentially selling the government for his own benefit…oh, but it gets worse…he even told the oil companies to write the regs they want and he’ll just sign them if they help him get elected and give him money…but, there is a little fly in that ointment since senate dems have started an investigation and are sending subpoenas out to all of the execs requiring them to send any and all correspondence they had with idiot boy along with any proposed regulations they are writing for him…look…this is just a frickin bribe or a quid pro quo that is clearly illegal…but where is the media in all of this? This should be on the front page of every paper and website and Joe should be airing ads about it in every market…if the media won’t do their jobs, then Joe has to…and he has to do it now…at least senate dems are doing something…geez…
May 25th
Well…woke up to the rain at around 3 am and had a hard time getting back to sleep…so I’m feeling that this morning and need to get moving in 20 minutes to be able to get the indoor ride in and one outdoor ride in before F1 qualifying comes on at 10…I do think the decision to limit myself to only 32 miles a day is the right one…it leaves me time to get other things done…my back is really sore this morning for some reason and I know I didn’t do anything that would have hurt it so it must be the dread hurt myself sleeping again thing….I really do need to get started on cleaning the windows and taking the bird feeder down and that may be today since I don’t have to cook with having the leftovers from grilling yesterday…there is a race on later that may interrupt that but we’ll see…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but the rides and grilling and today looks the same…I did read all afternoon and finished up one of the books I got Monday…it’s going to be cooler today with highs only around 70 or less and that is more normal than the 85 degrees yesterday…not much to do today…just need to pour more coffee down and get on the indoor bike in 9 minutes but I don’t want to…more later…
Crowd size…
Well…we all know how much the idiot trump and his minions lie all the time about everything…but seems to be fixated on the size of the crowd he draws starting with his inauguration (and no, it was not the largest crowd there ever) an continuing to his Bronx fascist rally last night…fox news was going on that the size was “at least” 15,000 people while the NYC police estimated around 3,500 but there is even a little problem with the low estimate and that is that the permit for the park he used was for only 2,300 people maximum and the police were counting the people going in so they wouldn’t overwhelm the park…oh, and one other thing…at least a thousand of the crowd were protestors against the idiot boy so he maybe had 1,500 supporters there…and as time goes on, less and less people are showing up and it was reported that people started to leave less than halfway though his rant…and there are photos of that in the news…I wonder when the news is going to stop covering this bullshit? Geez…
May 24th
Well…damn, I’m tired this morning and I’m really not looking forward to this daunting day…have 20 minutes until I have to get on the bike for the indoor ride, then an errand, then two outdoor rides…and I have to cook since I used up the leftovers yesterday…slept okay last night but don’t feel like I slept at all…the coffee needs to work soon or I’m going to be glued to this couch all morning….it’s only 54 right now but it will be warm enough to get on the outdoor bike by the time I get back from the errand…it looks like my race day Sunday is going to be interrupted by thunderstorms that will extend down to Indy so that race will be postponed until Monday…darn…had to make two noise calls yesterday and I am so damn tired of that crap…I really hate these assholes and I want to tell the people who are looking at the house on 7th that is for sale…no one should have to deal with this and I know the realtor is not telling them the truth about this neighborhood…I mean 180 grand to listen to this crap? Not much to do today…I know I’ve said I want to take a day off but I’ve made a huge leap towards it in the past day or so…just so worn out…and need some rest…more later…

Well…I really can’t fathom why the presidential race is close at all when only one of the candidates care about the people of this country at all…and the latest good thing that Biden has done is to go after the monopolies that are causing prices to rise just because of consolidation and greed…so now the Biden administration has filed an antitrust lawsuit against three biggies…amazon for squeezing it’s sellers and jacking up prices…apple, that used it’s power to kill off challengers…and ticketmaster/live nation who used it’s monopoly to jack up ticket prices and tack on massive fees..sometimes even more than the ticket cost…in your wildest imagination, do you think trump would do any of this if he was in office? Yeah, we know that answer…not in a million years…he would try to deregulate all of these crooked companies and take a bribe for doing it…so damn, Americans…open your frickin eyes…geez…

Well…it is halfway day today and I’ve never had this many miles in this early in any year since I started riding many years ago…I still remember when I was happy and a little proud to have 500 miles in by labor day and the progression to 3,550 over the years has been a lot of work…I was able to sleep on my back again last night and I am still trying to figure out what has changed to allow me to do that…maybe the weight loss? Have 20 minutes before I need to get on the indoor bike and if I can get going by 7 I’ll have all three rides in before 10 today…I do need to figure out the brakes on the car today and that only means taking all 4 tires off and looking at the rotors…not a lot of work but it’s still a pain…made the coffee a little strong this morning with opening a new container of Colombian last night and putting an extra half tablespoon using up the old stuff…yow…jet fuel…still have leftovers for today but tomorrow I’ll fire up the grill and make some burgers and brats and eat all the stuff that is bad for me…and I’ll have fresh corn on the cob to add in somehow…not much to do today…just need to get the rides in and then I can wing it for the rest of the day…I do need to plan on cleaning the windows soon like I do every year and that includes washing the blinds…there is so much dirt in the windows from the dust up here…more later….
Made it to halfway…
Well..oh, almost buried the lede here…you know I ranted about people running the red light at the bottom of the hill and I almost got run over…so today, another person did it and ran over a teenager on a bike…coming back from the first outdoor ride, I noticed a cop car pulled up behind a crappy old pickup…and that old pickup had a mangled bike underneath the front of it…luckily, the kid who was riding it was standing in the median and looked okay other than rubbing his wrists…this is the kind of stuff that happens when you let people do whatever the heck they want and ignore the law…okay, back to halfway…I am 4 miles away from the halfway point of 3,550 miles and I’ll get that in on the indoor ride tomorrow morning…and now I can start counting down…think I need to pop some champagne to celebrate…
