Well…had a pretty good day today with getting an outdoor ride in and may be able to do that again tomorrow but we’ll see…won’t be outside Sunday or Monday with highs in the 30’s and that is just damn cold to be out anymore…and it looks like the rest of the month is going to be int he 40’s and I hope it doesn’t go on into April…that would suck…went out to get more of the turkey from DD today to put in the freezer since I like it quite a lot…really tastes like turkey and it is nice to be able to taste something…might have to thaw a pork fillet since I have 8 of them in the freezer and have broccoli to use with it with a baked potato….need to meal plan better since I have too much spoiling food in the fridge…I guess I could eat more with getting 30 miles a day in…only had a bowl of soup and a piece of pizza all day today and that’s only about 800 cals for the day…think I’ll watch a movie tonight and get at the Oscar nominees done…and have a cocktail…
trump’s cronies are in on it…
Well…gee, another sleazy thing connected to trump and his cronies? Who would ever think that is possible? I’m sure you remember the scandal where the repubs star witness against the Biden’s was arrested for lying to the FBI…and yesterday it was revealed that Smirnov was paid 600K by cronies of the idiot trump that looks like it was part of a money laundering scheme by at least two shady companies that are owned by Russians…we already knew that Smirnov, the liar, worked for Russian intelligence who have been working with repubs in the House to try to damage Joe and get the asshole trump re elected and that has been ongoing since just before the idiot announced he was running for president…the only question to answer now is: “are the repubs in congress knowingly committing treason by helping the Russians or are they just the useful idiots that Russia is using?” Either way, a scandal of this magnitude would have ended the careers of all involved when there was patriotism still in the repub party…not anymore…geez…
March 15th
Well…running late this morning and I just can’t get going…allergies have been nuts as it warms a little and I can barely breathe today…and that leaves me so worn out that everything is a lot of effort…but I’ll work through it when the coffee starts to work…need to get on the bike by 8 to stay on schedule sine I have an errand to run today…need to take a couple of books back to the library and hit aldis after the rides…might even try to get an outdoor ride in this afternoon since it’s still going to be warm enough the next couple of days but then down into the 30’s and 40’s for highs…ick…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today looks the same other than the errands but I do need to clean the kitchen and the bathroom but I have no motivation right now….it rained from 10 am until I went to bed last night but it says clear and 35 right now and I was really happy that it didn’t snow…don’t have to cook again today and for the next few days but i will need to make another pizza to use up the cheese I have left over….need to get moving in 8 minutes to get my day started…I need more coffee…more later…
A relaxing day…
Well…I finally got that relaxing day I’ve been needed for a while now…just did the rides and weight work and then took the afternoon to listen to the rain and read…didn’t even have to cook today so it really was easy…and all I have to do from now until tv time is read some more and make ice…I really like that roasted turkey I got at DD…very good flavor and 3 pieces are only 60 calories so that works for me…I may even go out Monday to see if I can get more and put a couple of pounds in the freezer…but I’m not going anywhere til then…going to try to get a ride in outdoors tomorrow if it’s not too windy…but right now I’m climbing back into the books for another hour or two….
When are they going to wise up?
Well…with all of the repubs still falling at the idiot trump’s feet and his takeover of the RNC complete granting him another piggybank to rob, my question to the rubes out there is when are you going to wise up? Just this past year, the RNC has paid over 50 million dollars in idiot boy’s legal bills that was a direct transfer from the rube’s pockets to trump’s…and now the new chair of the RNC is now one of his idiot sons wife who has pledged that all the money they raise is going directly to trump leaving all the rest of the repubs scratching for the crumbs left over and their only hope to get any financial help is if it will benefit trump in some way…and the house repubs see the writing on the wall and are retiring in droves along with a few senators who are all carping on the way out that they can’t work with the trumpers any more…and that made me laugh since they are all trumpers now…this is probably going to be another year that idiot boy will cost the repubs control of the government just like in 2020…and they barely took it back in 2022 when it was supposed to be a “red wave”…as I’ve said before, everything trump touches dies…RIP RNC…geez…
March 14th
Well..Happy Pi day! Man, I don’t ever want to roll over in bed and see 4:54 on my phone again…it’s been a few days since I’ve slept in til 6 and I really want to…it looks like it will be an easier day today with not having to cook at all and rain coming in by 10 am so no outdoor rides today…I need the coffee to work soon so I can get on the bike by 7:30…still pretty darn sore today and I hope it goes away soon…I need to start thinking about the garden and get the seeds started downstairs but I need to buy them first so I’ll need to see who has them on sale…hope it works out better than last year with all the struggles of keeping them alive…so, I’ll wait much later to put them in….I think I’ll just wing it on riding outdoors after the rain moves through…might get and afternoon ride in but it’s not getting over 50 today and I’m not looking forward to being cold…going to clean a bit today but I really want to read some and relax after being so busy yesterday….not much to do today…just a little cleaning and time off for good behavior….more later…
Too damn busy today…
Well…as you can see, it was a busy day today and it kept me from getting here to do this last one for the day until 7:30 and that never happens…so I started out with the indoor ride and then ran an errand out to DD to get some oven roasted turkey slices for 2 bucks a pound and I got some onion rings, too since I just love them even though they are bad for me…so now the freezer is stuffed again and I really should clear that before I buy anything else…then on to the first outdoor ride, back here to have coffee and then right back on the bike for a second one outdoors….then I had some cleaning to do after lunch and then made a homemade pizza for dinner that really takes a lot of time with making the crust and then putting it all together and then having it on the grill for 35 minutes…while I was doing that, I noticed that the wire from the sending unit to the display of my bike computer had broken…again…so I had to get the soldering pencil out to fix that…oh, and do three of these that takes some time, too…I did get an hour of reading time after I cleaned up after dinner but then I still had the weight work to do and I am worn out…too damn busy of a day…
Joe is helping Michigan…
Well…I think we all need to do our parts to make sure all of the good that Joe Biden is doing sees the light of day…and that’s necessary since the polls show that not many people know how much he’s gotten done…so I’ll talk a little about what’s happening in Michigan sine I live here….sine Joe took office, companies have committed over 21 billion dollars in private sector investments here…creating thousands of jobs and helping us move to a clean energy economy…the big three are investing over 9 billion dollars in manufacturing plants here and those will all be good paying union jobs…and then there are the4.4 billion dollars for infrastructure projects that will help repair roads, bridges, and road safety…and another 1.7 billion dollars for clean water projects…since he took office, there are 332,000 more jobs here in Michigan…and then there is the 2K cap on medicare drug expenses and 35 dollar insulin…so when anyone says they don’t know if Joe has done anything for them here in Michigan, steal this post and show them…we sure need 4 more years of Joe…geez…
March 13th
Well…didn’t drag my butt out of bed this morning until 7:39 and that is weird as hell…to open my eyes and have it light lying in bed is just not normal…still pretty worn out today but I will get on the indoor bike by 8:30 so I can run out to DD to get some oven roasted turkey breast for 2 bucks a pound…the wind appears to have calmed some so that will get me outdoors on the bike by 10 or so…going to be warm today but then down into the 30’s for Sunday and Monday and that is pretty normal for March in Michigan so I can’t let it depress me…have been thinking about making a pizza today and it would be perfect for standing out in the garage if it gets into the 60’s…I think that may be for later since I have potato soup I can have for lunch…might even put the top down on the car to run the errand…it’s already 52 so it will be warm enough for that in an hour and a half when I get done with the indoor ride…still need to figure out meals for the rest of the week so I think I’ll go through the recipes and see what ones I have the ingredients for…not much to do today…just need to get on the bike here in 14 minutes and then get on with the schedule…I do need to carve out time to read today but I’m not sure when that will be…going to be rushing all day and I need to figure out how to have some easy days mixed in with these busy ones…more later…
Still pretty sore…
Well…damn, I’m sitting here still pretty sore from whatever caused it…I’m leaning toward getting back on the outdoor bike the past few days…everything hurts from the waist up and my right thumb is screaming at me and I should treat it with some voltaren right now…went over 1,500 miles for the year today and that last 500 miles was done since the first of March…and 12 days is not bad for putting 500 miles in…and now I have 19 days to get the next 500 in to get to 2,000 by the end of the month…then I need to keep that pace up til the end of August and I’ll have my 7,000 miles for the year in…I wonder if I can keep it up for the rest of the year and get to 10,000? That will be a stretch…I did make the potato soup with added broccoli and gave it one more layer of flavor without the fat from the bacon and brats that have been adding…I may make a pizza tomorrow since it is going to be warm and that will give me leftover food for a few days…my darn beard trimmer died so I had to order a new one today, and to get over the 35 bucks needed for free shipping, I ordered more chain lube and a new pair of fingerless riding gloves since the ones I’m using are stretching out of shape since I’ve had them for a few years now and just sewed them back together where they failed…so now I have an hour to read to finish off the day…
