Well…was just sitting here doing some math in my head and thinking that I must be getting close to my new 4,500 mile goal on the bike for the year…and I just hit it today…3,032 outdoors, 1,124 inside before the battery on the computer went dead, and another 352 since then for a total of 4,508…and I still have all of December to ride still with the potential of getting another 448 miles in if I keep doing 16 per day…and that’s not too bad with having to take 12 weeks off for health reasons…never thought I’d get near to 5,000 miles this year and that’s only about 1,100 miles less than my all time record…next year the goal is going to be 7,000 miles and I’m not sure if my body will allow me to do it…I guess we’ll see…
Lazy day…
Well…damn, this was as close to a day off as I’ve taken in a long time with only doing the two rides this morning and then taking the rest of the day off to basically do nothing….didn’t have to cook today with having lots of leftovers but I did only eat one meal today of 5 ribs and a handful of crinkle fries…after only having a bowl of soup yesterday, I’m not sure if 5 baby back ribs is enough…but that’s all I’m eating today…and tomorrow will be back to the soup again…need to start planning meals for the rest of the week and I may make potato soup again since I still have celery that is going to spoil if I don’t along with yellow potatoes going bad…so maybe Wed for that…I do have some chicken thighs in the freezer that I can take out, too….still have enough apple brats to use in the soup, too….so I guess I’ll have to take a look…
Russian bots helped kill hundreds of thousands of Americans…
Well…when the covid pandemic just started, there was a blizzard of disinformation to get people to stop masking up and to not get vaccinated…Carnegie Mellon University did a study just recently where they analyzed over 200 million tweets spouting this bullshit and it was found that over 80% of them were from Russia… it was a Russian attack on the US and part of an organized plot designed to make the pandemic worse and kill Americans…and without the attack hundreds of thousands of Americans would still be alive…now, Russia needs to pay for this…and we need ways to keep them from electing the idiot trump again…which again, was another plot to hurt the US and do damage to our society and our standing in the world that Biden is just now repairing…it doesn’t help when one of our political parties is gladly spouting Russian propaganda every day and are getting paid of by the Russians…and they don’t care if they are Russia’s stooges….anything that gets them money and power is more important to them than the US…geez…
December 3rd
Well…up at 5;24 this morning but there was no damn way I was going to get out of bed that early…so I just laid there until almost 7 and the thought hit me that I have been planning every day of my life since I started college in my 20’s….and I’m not sure if I like that anymore….it’s more like work than living and I wonder when I get to just relax and live? Never, probably….I have to control my weight so that means on the bike for two rides here in a minute and then not eating much as I did yesterday when I only had a bowl of soup to eat for the whole day…I wonder how I can reset my brain and allow myself to be less disciplined? Okay, that’s enough of that…didn’t get much done yesterday and today will probably be the same since I don’t have to cook…have leftover ribs and the soup I made yesterday…and that will last me for at least a few days…it’s a mix of rain and snow going on out there right now and it would be perfect to sit here and drink coffee and look out the window but I won’t…and that is just wrong…oh, well…more later…

Well…there’s a new meme about solar panels going on over at fox news and all across the right wing media today that has me just shaking my head about the stupidity of the right wingers in this country…you want to know what it is? Reports all across the right wing stupidsphere are breathlessly reporting that solar panels won’t create electricity when it’s cold outside…okay, I wonder if anyone remembers the first place solar cells were used to generate electricity? If you grew up in the 60’s, you know…in space! Do any of the idiots spouting this nonsense know how cold it is in space? It’s -454 degrees…yep MINUS 454 degrees, at least three 4 times colder than it ever gets even in the coldest place on Earth…so I really think they just might be wrong about this one….damn, the stupidity, it burns! Geez…
Soup…
Well…have had a bit of a busy day today that started with two bike rides and as soon as I finished them, I started on the turkey soup around 10 or so and had it done along with the clean up a little after 1…soup came out great and doing it in the instant pot is just so much easier than in a stock pot…made 3, 2 quart containers and put two of them in the freezer in the room that I made taking the carcasses out…so now I have a container of ham soup and two of turkey in there…and I’ll be taking the ham soup out as soon as I finish the soup in the fridge…the soup was so filling that it is going to be the only meal today…still have enough ham bones in there to make a batch of ham soup but I need to get more stuff out of the freezer first…not sure if I’m going to buy a ham for the holidays this year…I didn’t even keep the bone and leftovers from the last ham so I’m not sure if I need it…still looking for a political topic for today…
December 2nd
Well…haven’t looked outside yet but it was supposed to snow all night last night and I wonder if I’ll have to shovel today….looked at the radar and it appears that everything has moved off to the east but it’s still cold out here at 34 degrees…I did get my property tax bill yesterday and it’s almost a thousand dollars that is due in Feb…oh, well…don’t feel like I slept at all last night but I know I did and I need to get moving soon to get the two rides in before I get started making turkey soup today…took the carcasses out of the freezer last night to make it easier to fit them in the instant pot…I was thinking of using the food processor to chop the veggies but I like doing knife work so it will be knife and cutting board…I am going to use a red onion to add a little color to the soup since it’s the oldest onion and it needs to be used….I have only 35 minutes before I need to get on the bike but I am struggling to even think about it right now….not much to do today…just going to make soup and watch some soccer and let the day unfold…I am so tired of my compulsion to do and stay busy all day….I wonder when I get to just live and do nothing? Computer problems…
Well…have been having computer problems all day today…couldn’t scroll hardly at all and when it did it was jerky as heck…after restarting it a couple of times, I figured out the problem…I hadn’t cleared the history and cache in Firefox in over a year… and it took almost 5 minutes to dump all the crap that was in there…so now this thing works like a rocket ship again and I don’t have to buy a new one right now…yay! Now it’s time to wind down for the night…
Busy day today…
Well…it has been another busy day today starting off with running and early errand and then getting on the bike for two rides, making some ribs for lunch, and then doing some laundry…but it’s a little after 3 now and I’m done for the day…can’t wait for the new package of allergy meds to come next Wed since I feel like crap and I’ve had a headache since Monday…the ribs I mad today came out good and the Burman’s barbecue sauce I got for cheap at Aldis is pretty good…only 1.29 regular price…and putting them on the grill after cooking them low and slow in my over gave them a little bit of a crust that I like…so I’ll have those for the next three days…going to skip dinner tonight with having 4 ribs and some fries for lunch…

Well…it’s another snowy day out here so I think I’ll just sit here in the warm and do a few of these…no big topic for today so I think I’ll just noodle a bit…first, George Santos was expelled from congress today and he is only the 6th person expelled in the country’s history…and he now faces 22 felony charges for fraud and theft and should end up in the slammer in the next year…oh, and 105 repubs voted to keep him in congress…the same ones who voted to try to overturn the election in 2020….and the party of “freedom”…yeah, that’s sarcasm now wants to have the government force you to use your legal name in the workplace and everywhere else…this piece of trash was put forth by one raphael (ted) cruz, but you could probably tell it was him since it just dripping with hate for trans people….no legislation to deal with problems that people need taken care of…just hate, hate, and more hate…what a stupid shit….oh, and one last shorty…a court has ruled that firing up a mob to attack the capital on January 6th was not part of idiot boy’s official duties so he can now be sued for it…someone get on it…geez…
