Well…okay, this is really weird…still haven’t slept since I got out of bed early wed morning…tried to take a nap this afternoon but couldn’t even get close…I am curious what will happen tonight…what if I never sleep again? Have to have two more teeth removed since they are still infected and loose but they won’t make any difference with chewing since they don’t have any opposing teeth…but this ends the extractions until I die…so, I guess I’m going to clean my teeth right now and settle in for the night…it looks like were getting bombed with snow tomorrow starting in the morning and we could get 8-15 inches with high winds and drifting…but I am prepared for hibernation til next week….
Idiot boy’s first trial ended…
Well…just saw it come across the news that the idiot trump’s trial for business fraud ended this afternoon…and the judge who is deciding how much more than the original 250 million dollar fine he is going to have to pay said he will have a decision by the end of the month…the AG has asked for at least 370 million and a ban on any of the family ever owning or running a business in NY again…I for one don’t think the penalty fits the crime at all…they should all go to jail for an ongoing fraud that has been going on for 40 years at least…can’t wait for the criminal cases to get going and take up all of the asshole’s time an shut him the hell up…geez…
The polls are swinging…
Well…I can’t believe I haven’t slept since Wed morning and I still can’t take a nap….but I did want to talk a little bit about the polls that are starting to swing toward Joe Biden….just yesterday, one was released that showed Joe with a 7 point lead in NH, a repub state with a repub governor…and almost every poll for the past two weeks showed Joe with a growing lead…I think he should be up by 50 but that’s just because I read the news that is not fox…one surprising poll that came out earlier this week polled people over 65 and this is where I want to wait for another one before I believe it…that poll has Joe up by 64 to 36%….I think that older folks like me are getting tired of living in fear of the repubs destroying the SS we live on…and that’s the thing…the dems do everything they can to make Medicare and SS stronger while the repubs want to steal the money we paid in to give tax cuts to the rich…and we need to be shouting this from every rooftop and asking this question to every repub who crawls out from under their rock…we need to keep pushing them because it works…geez…

Well…this is weird…didn’t sleep at all last night and I don’t feel too bad right now…was on the bike for the first ride before 5am and finished up the second before 7…now I’m just finishing up the coffee before I have to clean my teeth to get ready for the dentist…I do need to stop at depot on the way back here to get some melting salt and I forgot some stuff at aldis so I need to stop there, too…but they are in the same parking lot so no big deal…with the really cold weather coming, I’m going to need to keep the walks salted…and shoveled since we’re supposed to get snow every day for the next ten days…oh, well…my car is not going anywhere til late next week…
January 11th
Well…that really sucked…went to bed late and it’s 3:30 am and I’m still waiting for sleep to come so it looks like I’ll shift into low power mode today since I have a dentist appointment at 8:30…at least I’ll be able to get the bike rides in before I have to go out…and then it’s hibernation mode with the big storm coming in Friday night with possible 8-10 inches of snow and high winds…ick…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done but the normal stuff but I need to cook today since I’m out of leftovers and it looks like I’m going to make a batch of lentil soup today and then chicken masala tomorrow…have the ingredients for 4 or 5 new recipes so I’ll be good until the end of next week….it did snow last night but not enough to be a problem getting out of here today and they even plowed the roads so that will help….and it’s only a few miles to my dentist’s office on the main roads so that should be easy….so I’m going to sit here for a littl while longer and make one more stab at get a couple of hours of sleep…more later…
A good day…
Well…it’s been a pretty good day today and I carved out some reading time and have almost finished up the second of the three books I got from the library…after doing the two rides this morning, I went out to shovel the snow and got everything done around noon…even got the weight work done early while I was watching soccer so I didn’t have to rush through it this evening…after ten days or so of doing that daily, I think I can notice small differences in my arms and shoulders so that is cool…tonight is going to be a boring one with no cocktails since I have a dentist appointment at 8:30am and I want to be clear for that…got a statement from the bank about my mortgage on this place and I only owe 44,000 bucks…down 8 grand in three years so now I have almost 100K in equity in this place and that feels pretty good…I’ve come a long way from being totally broke 5 years ago and borrowing money from my daughter to stay alive…time for tv…
Roger Stone should be arrested…
Well…this is probably a little too obscure do most people haven’t heard of it yet…just the other day it was reported that Roger Stone, one of the idiot trump’s henchmen who he pardoned just before we threw idiot boy out of office, was plotting to kidnap and murder Rep Eric Swalwell and Rep Jerry Nadler before the election in an attempt scare people into not voting for Biden…and he was conspiring with a police office who was working security for him…and they have the whole thing on tape…and as many other people have pointed out, a conspiracy does not have to be successful to be a crime…so I wonder if the justice department will do anything or is this just another time where the repubs can commit crimes and walk away from it? I am so tired of these repub assholes ruining this country with no consequences…geez…
January 10th
Well…darn, it snowed about 6 inches overnight and that means I’ll be out shoveling this morning…slept crappy last night and woke up to find the sheets and comforter on the floor and I was freezing my butt off…and still am sitting here on the couch….had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done other than the grocery run and 2 rides…the birds kept me entertained and I had lots of different ones on the feeder…less doves than normal let the smaller birds get to the feeder…sitting right at the window for a few minutes I noticed that the Juncos have the skinniest legs of any bird I’ve seen and I wonder how they support the weight….will need to fill the feeder this morning with all the snow we had last night to keep them fed…it looks like the snow is over for a couple of days but it is going to get cold with highs in the teens next week…but that is January in Michigan so I just need to hibernate and take it easy….not much to do today…just need to get the rides in and start to plan the next meals…need to make the lentil soup and then the chicken masala again….have ingredients for 4 different recipes so that will give me something to do….more later….
Trump’s lawyers are really arguing this?
Well…not sure if you’ve heard or not, but the idiot trump’s lawyers are arguing in front of the DC court of appeals today as he tries to get blanket immunity for all of his crimes since he was president once…and one of the judges asked the lawyers a hypothetical question that if it’s true, then Biden could use this to have trump shot today…and the lawyer answered “yes”…and then the lawyer tried to argue that to have any charges leveled against him, any president would have to be impeached and convicted first before anything could be done…and that is not anywhere in the constitution so they are trying to make up new powers for the office of the president…but it sounds like the appeals court isn’t buying it and they shouldn’t…the founders lived under unaccountable kings and never wanted that to happen here…so do the right thing appeals court and laugh these guys out of the building…geez…
January 9th
Well…man, I’m tired this morning and I sure don’t want to do the grocery run today….but with the snow that is coming, I need to get it done…have a huge list of things to get for meals for the next week and I want to make the chicken masala again with aldis having chicken on sale for 1.99 a pound….had a good day yesterday with getting some work done and I need to continue that today…not sure when I’ll get the bike rides in but I think they will be later since I can’t get going right now…I do have leftovers for today so I won’t have to cook til tomorrow and I’m not sure what that is going to be but I have a pound bag of shredded cheddar that I need to use so there will be some Mexican food in the future….maybe some bean burritos? Only had one meal yesterday…no, that’s not right….used up the roast beef in a sandwich for the second meal yesterday so I’ll need to cut back to one today…..not much to do today…just the grocery run and then I’m going to rest a bit before the bike rides…more later….
