Well…not sure what the heck is going on but I got more work done today downstairs…right after I got off the bike after the second ride, I got tired of looking at the peeling paint and spalling in the 84 year old blocks that make up the corner of my bike room in the basement…so, before the shower, I got my rechargeable drill/driver out and put a big wire brush in it and took to getting all the loose stuff off the wall…after about 45 minutes of that and then cleaning up all of the paint chips and concrete, I mixed up some chemical cement that I had downstairs and filled all of the bad spots…now I have to wait for it to dry a few days before I can repaint the wall…will probably take a while since I keep it so cold down there…so that’s twice in the last week that I’ve worked on the house and it felt good to accomplish something today…so now I’m done for the day and need to get ready for Michigan playing int he National Championship game tonight at 7:30…Go Blue!
Repubs are killing Ukrainians.
Well…did you ever think you see the time when the repubs would side with Putin over an ally? That is exactly what is happening right now as they hold up emergency funding for Ukraine and Ukraine runs out of the anti aircraft missiles they need to protect themselves…up until last night, the shoot down rate was close to 95% of what the Russian criminal is throwing at them…but the count from last night is only 14 of 70 shot down since they now have to prioritize when and where they use these now rare missiles…and the only place they can get more is from the US…so now the asshoile repubs have Ukrainian blood on their hands as sure as Putin does…and now Putin is getting just what he wanted when he funneled heaping piles of money through shell corporations to the right wing assholes who do not care about anything but money and power…and they are doing Putin’s bidding by making sure our allies can’t depend on us anymore…and the repubs just don’t care….god I hate these assholes…
January 8th
Well…damn, still in the same pattern for the past week of getting up at 3am, sleeping for a bit until 5 or so, but today I decided to fight it and didn’t get out of bed til 6:41 but the time between 5 and out of bed was that grey area where you’re not really sleeping and I think that doesn’t count…was pretty darn sore last night and I think it’s from using the hand weights but I’m not going to stop…getting out of bed so late has me running late today with needing to get on the bike by 8 am…a gale watch has just popped up for tomorrow afternoon through Wed morning with winds of 20-30 and gusts to 50 so that will be fun doing the grocery run….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and don’t need to cook today so I really should do some cleaning at least but that won’t happen until this aft if at all….Michigan play for the national championship tonight and I will be watching it but with some trepidation…they haven’t looked good the past few games…I will get to a political one today to try to get back on track after the outage last week…I am so damn tired today that I can’t get going and I’m not sure if I want to right now…more later….

Well…here we go again…it’s 10:20 and I have the bike rides in and have started the load of laundry I wanted to do so I have the rest of the day off…just need to finish the coffee and heat up some leftovers for lunch and then watch the Lions play at one…and read a bunch…so it’s going to be an easy day today…I should clean a bit and just might but not right now…I do need to go out and fill the bid feeder at some point since it is entertaining to watch as I sit here…and I do need to go out and look for a topic in politics for later…and I think I’ll do that right now since I want to read the news anyway….still more later…

Well…you know what these are…fillers to try to get back to where I need to be on the post count…it’s 8:40 and I already have the first ride in but lat leaves me only 20 minutes to finish off the coffee and get back on for the second ride…we did get about two inches of snow last night and, if it keeps up, I’ll be out shoveling later when I fill the bird feeder…it was really strange to not have any doves on the feeder yesterday when they have been swarming it for weeks…I had 8 of them on the sill and feeder at one time a couple of days ago and they have been slamming into the window the feeder is attached to…very loud…okay, the weather widget just said rain this afternoon so maybe I won’t have to shovel…okay…need to drink the coffee faster so I’ll end here…more later….
January 7th
Well…it does feel good to get back to my routine that I’ve had for 15 years now of coming here to get a post out to start my day…have a nice hot cup of coffee on the table and soccer on the tv and it is a little comforting…I did get up at 3 again this morning but was able to stay in bed til 5:30 so that feels like a win after getting up before 5 the past few days but I’m still exhausted and I’m not sure why…okay, I do know that I only had one meal yesterday and that has something to do with it but I need to lose another 10 pounds so I need to keep that up…so I’ll be getting on the bike by 8 again today and that will get me to 112 miles for the week…going to have to ride at least 2,000 miles indoors to get to the goal for the year…and that will mean some 24 mile days and I’m not sure if I’m up for that yet….don’t have a lot to do today other than watch the Lions later….still have leftovers to eat so no cooking but I am looking at trying some baking powder to get my bread to rise and not be like the bricks I have been making…but that is fun and don’t need to do that today…not much to do today…just going to sit here for a bit before I get on the bike in an hour or so and try to muster the energy to get going…supposed to snow today but I don’t have to go anywhere so that’s okay….more later…

Well…just one more shorty on some ranting that the idiot trump did during a speech yesterday…and no one has been able to figure out what the hell he was talking about…while he was ranting, he stopped and said that he could defeat magnets by dropping them in water…that they don’t work in water…just like the cancer causing windmills, this is just another bit of evidence that idiot boy is not all there….of course magnets work under water…didn’t he ever read…oh, yeah he can’t read so maybe someone can show him some magnetic ship mines from WWII…or draw him a crayon picture which is all he can understand he is just so damn stupid….
Got some things done…
Well…I really hadn’t planned to do any work on the house today but I had some trim in the bathroom that has been bugging me so I spent a little time and painted it…only took about a half hours so not much work…I did get to 100 miles for this week and I only have to do that 70 more times to get to this years goal….I did get the two rides in, read a bunch and the did my upper body weight work that appears to be having some effect after a week of doing it daily…and it feels good to be doing it so I’m going to keep it up…it looks like cold and snow for the next 10 days or so but I only have a dentist appointment to do thurs and I’m going to hibernate until then…it is January in Michigan so I have to expect it…I have to remember to turn the hepa filters on tonight since my allergies are nuts…but right now I’m just going to read a bit more until the 7pm hour when I’ll watch a little tv…

Well…not sure if you saw Joe Biden’s speech that he did yesterday but the consensus is that it was a good one…and I thought so too as he called out the right wingers trying to destroy this country…and even mentioned the idiot trump by name for all the crap he pulled and called out fox news for being cheeerleader for the plot…and boy, they have their fee fees hurt and are sulking and trying to spin it to the point that they are now calling a really hopeful speech “divisive” while trying to puff themselves up by saying most of the country watches their channel…and that made me laugh when it is well known that maybe 1 percent of the country watches fox regularily and the major networks have 10 times more viewers each than they do…I think Biden hit them where they hurt by using the truth to call them out and they really, really don’t like truth….suck it up snowflakes…geez…
January 6th
Well…as you can see, this site has been down for a couple of days while the cloud people did some server work…I guess they ran out of space and had to add more and configure it…so, I’m back…did you miss me? I sure missed coming here and doing this…it left a big hole in my schedule that I tried to fill over on Mastodon but the 500 character limit and my rule against not posting political stuff there just didn’t work out too well…haven’t been sleeping for crap with getting about 4 hours a night for the past three nights and I am exhausted…don’t want to go back to the sleeping pills again so I guess I’ll just live with it…had two meals yesterday but that was too much so I’m back to one today…I am a little challenged when I tried to make bread on Friday and it still looks like a brick so I may add some baking powder to it along with the yeast next time to get it to rise and look like normal bread…won’t have to cook much since I got some stuff at DD this week and will have a roast beef sandwich tomorrow since I got 5 ozs of it for 89 cents….and I am going to have some cheese and crackers with provolone and pastrami tonight so I really don’t need to have a second meal…will try to come back here later for another one….more later…
