Well…I need to get off my butt and get things done instead of acting like I’m retired and doing nothing…and today was another easy day that only had 25 miles on the bike and then out to the beach…I did have an older woman walking a dog stop and talk to me for 20 minutes as I sat in my chair having my 2nd beer and that was nice…and the tiny dog was, too…unusual to say the least…I did find out something about the car yesterday that is a clever bit of engineering…as I was doing some fluid checks, I couldn’t find the reservoir for the clutch so I had to look at the manual to find out it doesn’t have one…both the brake master cylinder and the clutch uses the same one…pretty cool, huh? and it was down a bit so I filled to the max line like the manual says and it appears to have made a difference…the shifting is easier but I think I may still see how hard it is to bleed the clutch since I still think it could be a little smoother…I have all of the equipment to do it from the 94…so, we’ll see…the water was pretty cold so the swim was just and in and out dip and I hope it warms up and I can stay in tomorrow…and yes, I’m going back to the beach tomorrow…but right now it’s time to read….

Well…it seems like I’m always running late even with no schedule to keep anymore…it’s only 58 degrees out here right now so I’ll be in a light fleece when I get on the bike by 7…just so damn worn out and haven’t gotten the boost I need from the coffee yet…was planning on going to the beach this morning but I don’t know if it will be warm enough to swim and that is the main reason for going out there…I did pick up a 30 gallon trash bag of bottles, cans, and food containers from the assholes in the rental yesterday morning and dumped it in front of their front door and will continue to do that every damn day…damn, I need to get moving and really don’t want to…going to try the curry that my son made today and I need to plan meals for later in the week…my freezer is full and needs to be emptied…I did try Tom’s idea of braunschweiger on crackers for a snack last night and it was the best thing I’ve eaten in a while and I’m glad I have 4 more chubs in the freezer…but I used some thin wheat crackers I got from aldis…not much to do today…I do need to fill out my primary ballot so I can drop it off this week but I have to do some research first….more later…

Well..after having visitors yesterday, today was an easy one and I didn’t do much but watch races and read and I needed that after all the prep work for the visit last week…a strange thing is going on with the eye drops I use to fight against the dry eyes that come from my allergies…have been looking for any kind of Clear Eyes drops for over a month and there is not any on any shelf at three different stores…so I got the brain storm to use my amazon prime and order some from them…and I got it for 29% off, too…but I am laughing about the tiny orders I have been making…I mean  card with two button batteries? And then 2 bottles of Clear Eyes with some chain lube? And today I ordered a combo salt shaker and pepper grinder just like one I had for 15 years before it broke….and some tongue scrapers to get rid of the white coating that has been on my tongue for months…and the salt shaker was only 11 bucks which is less than what I paid 15 years ago for the exact same one…it is pretty nice to not have to buy 35 bucks worth to get free shipping…so I’m only buying what I need…didn’t have to cook today with all of the leftovers from yesterday and probably won’t have to until Wed…okay, need to start a new book…

Well…man, I’m just worn out today after the visit yesterday and not sleeping too well last night and I’m hoping that the coffee will help me get on the bike before 7…it did rain a bit yesterday but it’s not going to help my lawn one bit unless it rains every day for a week or so and that is not going to happen…and the main rain missed to the south where it rained for hours instead of the half hour it did here…oh, well…I thought my right elbow had started to heal yesterday but I can barely pick up the coffee cup this morning without howling pain…so more voltaren before I get on the bike…don’t have anything in my schedule until October 6th when I get fitted for the partial dentures so there will be lots of beach time starting tomorrow…going to be near 90 later in the week and I may have to spend longer time out there…not sure if my skin will take it but I guess that’s what 100 sunscreen is for…not much to do today…just need to get the rides in and then wing it for the rest of the day…don’t have to clean the house so I’ll just relax and watch races….more later…

Well…that was a nice visit and Art made me laugh a lot…they brought me cupcakes for a birthday cake and some pasta salad and 2 packages of curry and rice so I’ll be eating off that food for the next few days…yummy…it didn’t rain…again…but it looks like it might in a few minutes…it has gotten pretty dark so I have my fingers crossed that some will come…I did get the batteries for my key fob today and they came in a box that would fit hundreds of them…thunder! I did get the battery replace and the fob works as it should…I have gotten used to opening the trunk with it and now it even flashes the lights when the doors are locked or unlocked…pretty cool! Just put the laundry in and now I’m going to read a bit until the race comes on from Dover…don’t think I’ll eat more today…the pasta salad and cupcake will have to do…

Well…up at 4:34 again today but was able to get back to sleep…kinda..until 5:30 or so and now the magic coffee needs to do it’s work so I can get moving and get the rides in before I get back to the last part of cleaning this joint up…it really does look like rain this afternoon…ha,ha…I’ve written that so many times without rain ever getting here that it is not even a joke anymore…need to get on the bike by 6:30am today to get two rides in before 9 and get the cleaning done…not sure when my son is coming over but it will probably be early…the bike rally downtown was not nearly as loud as it was last year and there is only one more day to go…have no interest in going down there to see all the maga assholes play acting patriotism as they continue to support the asshole in chief and his racist bullshit…okay, I normally don’t do politics in this post of the day but damn…I just hate these assholes who saddled us with the idiot trump…not much to do today…I’m tired of cleaning but this place is looking pretty good and I won’t have to do anything for a couple of weeks…I do need to figure out some meals with using up the chicken tacos yesterday…more later

Well…it has been a day of cleaning all day today with getting the dining room done, the fridge cleaned, the back stairs vacuumed, and the kitchen cleaned…just need to do a quick once over on the bathroom and vacuuming the living room and I’ll be ready for the visit tomorrow…didn’t go to lunch with T today since her hands have flared in pain as she waits for surgery on them on the 31st…and that really helped me get everything done…I did have to run an errand out to aldis since I ran out of pickles and tortillas and I wanted to drive the car since I cleaned it top to bottom yesterday…the battery in the key fob died just as I was getting used to using it to open the trunk so I ordered a couple and will get them tomorrow…easy to replace and they should last a couple of years…okay, have some messages I need to respond to over on Mastodon…

Well…damn, it got down to 53 degrees last night and it was pretty darn cold in here…woke up at 4 or so but was able to get back to sleep til 6:30 and that makes me late for the day…going to need a fleece to get on the bike by 7:30 and I need to pour coffee down to get that done…I did get a lot of cleaning done yesterday and the rest of it can be done Sat morning before the visitors come over…looking forward to seeing Art, my son’s dog and my son and DIL…got the car completely cleaned and I think I’m going to run out to aldis and meijers this morning to pick up things I forgot on the grocery run…supposed to have lunch with T today but I’ll believe that when it happens…haven’t seen her for over a year and that’s too long…oh,well…my damn right elbow is still howling in pain and it hurts to pick up my coffee cup…I think I’m going to hurt from cleaning the car today and I’m starting to feel it right now…I think I may try some ice cream to see if I can finally eat it after years and years of pain…but there is no room in the freezer so I guess I’ll have to wait a while until I empty it a bit…not much to do today…just need to have more coffee and get off my butt and get going…more later…

Well…have been trying to find a political topic to do today but no such luck so far…I did get the rides in and the car cleaned and waxed and even did the entire interior along with the glass and then ran over to the library to get more books that will last me until the damn motorcycle rally is over…there is no place left to park for the people that live here and that sucks…making an easy town into a pain in the butt until Sunday night…and they just did a sound check for one of the stages and it sounds like it’s in my front yard…that is really going to suck later…I have been getting the cleaning done and need to get the floors done today right after I do this one…have the microwave clean and will do the stove and countertops later and that will just leave the bathroom and living room to do…and a day and a half to do them…okay, time to get off my butt and get moving…I’ll be back for a political one later…

Well…damn, running late today and I just poured the first cup of coffee at 6:39 so that will mean I won’t be on the bike til 7 or so and that makes me late for the entire day…a cold front came through last night but we didn’t get a drop of rain from it and that sucks…it’s only 62 out there right now and the wind is blowing like crazy so the rides will be a chore…the high is going to be only 72 today and that will be a relief after the nearly 90’s we’ve been enduring…my damn right elbow is howling in pain and has been for almost a week now so I’ll have to take some ibuprofen for it in a bit….don’t think I’ll go to the beach today since it’s not going to be warm enough and I have too much to do anyway…need to clean the kitchen today and mop all the floors after I clean the car and go to the library…so it will be a busy day…again…and I need to get it started soon…slept better last night but I sure don’t feel like it right now and I sure hope that’s not my life from now on…more later…
