Well…I think my allergies are worse than the have been all year and I am frickin miserable…even took one of last two allergy pills so it looks like I’ll be taking some benadryl later…the damn trails are lined with goldenrod and ragweed and every time the wind blows through here they flare and I start coughing and my head plugs right up…if only it would rain that would really help but there is none in the forecast for the next week…crap…didn’t do a damn thing today other than the rides and reading and I’m going back to that right now…
They are not “giving” us money…
Well…I think the rest of the world is tiring of having a lying toddler as US president and they are starting to call him out on his lies…just this past week idiot boy saud the EU just gave him 600 billion dollars to do whatever he wants with it and went on to lie and crow that it was his “negotiating skills” that got that free money…but then the EU spokesman said no it’s not free money and trump is not getting a dime…the EU has agreed to invest money in American companies over the next few years but it is up to them where the money goes if it goes at all…what came out of this “deal” is just a framework for more trade talks…but this is the same thing he said about his “deal” with Japan where he said the Japanese just gave him 500 billion dollars and the Japanese trade negotiator basically came out and said that was a lie…again, the agreement was just a framework for continuing talks…and no 500 billion dollar slush fund….I think all of the sane countries need to push back on the idiot as Canada did and not let him just lie to make himself look better…pushback needs to happen across the board…geez…
August 23rd
Well…damn, that sucked…up at 3, 4, and 5 and finally out of bed before 6 and my allergies are off the chart this morning…but I knew that was coming with the trails lined with blooming goldenrod and ragweed…feel like crap today and have a sore throat and it’s going to be a lot of work just to get moving this morning…not sure what I’m going to do today but the bike rides with no energy to spare…damn, have to get on the bike in 29 minutes and that is going to be a lot of effort…I did get some yard work done yesterday but I’m not doing any today…there is a little rain shower going on right now…at least the radar is showing a shower but I’ll look outside in a minute to see for myself…it didn’t get under 70 overnight and it’s going to be only a little higher than that for a high today…I just might take some allergy meds on top of the flonase today and then just veg out on the couch for the day…just feel miserable right now and need to eat something before I get on the bike…more later….
Easy, easy day…
Well…okay, I think today was too easy and I’ll have to fix that tomorrow…only did the rides, out to the beach, to the library, and then mowed the front lawn and swept the front walks…water was still way too cold for me to swim so I was only out at the beach for an hour or so…didn’t have to cook today and I won’t have to tomorrow, either but I think I may have taken too much food out of the freezer…and I need to eat some pasta salad every day or it will spoil…I have so many freckles from getting sun this summer that my skin looks like my mother’s did whenever she got in the sun…okay, there’s a race coming on from Daytona so I’m going to watch that…
No one wants this invasion…
Well…how pathetic is the idiot trump? He bragged and bragged that he was going to “patrol” with the troops he invaded DC with all on the lie that crimes have been “skyrocketing” there…and the numbers say that’s a whopper with crime down 35%..so, why would anyone believe that he would do a patrol with the troops? Of course he didn’t…he showed up at a staging area and talked at the troops for a few minutes and then bailed…costing the country hundreds of thousands of dollars for security…and here’s the thing and why this is just a show…none of the troops were sent to areas with the highest crime rate…I mean in front of the supreme court or the WH? Not high crime areas at all and the only arrest the troops have made is when someone threw a sandwich at them…that’s it…no murder, robbery or any kind of crime has been prevented…and 79% of the people of DC just want troops gone so they can have their city back…remember that for the 26 election…it’s all on the repubs…geez…
August 22nd
Well…man, I’m tired this morning but I did stay in bed til almost 6 so I guess that’s a win but I don’t feel like it…have 40 minutes before I need to get on the bike and just poured the first cup of coffee to get that going…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done but make some pasta salad and that was the only thing I had for dinner and I know that’s not enough after two chicken tacos for lunch…it’s only 60 out there right now so it will be another fleece morning for the first ride…Lake Michigan turned over yesterday and it was damn cold so I couldn’t swim yesterday and I’m not sure if I’ll get back in to swim this summer and that sucks…have to start getting ready for the transition to fall and I’m going to try to get to the beach every day until then…the air was finally clear yesterday and I could see all the way down to GH and the clouds in the sky looked like a painting and all I could do was stare at it…pretty cool…not much to do today…need to go to the library for more books after I get the rides in and then out to the beach for some sun…yeah, a lazy day and I’m going to mourn the end of summer….more later….

Well…I sure hope the orange asshole is ready to get his ass handed to him in court if he tries to use an executive order to end absentee and mail in voting in the entire country…there is no place in the Constitution that gives him any power at all over elections…it’s written right in there that the states have the power to decide how elections are run and it has been that way since the constitution was ratified in 1787…this idiot thinks he is a king and his stupid lawyers keep doing things that should get them disbarred since the immunity ruling from the SC only deals with a president and not his underlings and wouldn’t you think that his stupid lawyers can figure that out? After all, most of his lawyers ended up in jail after his last term and once we take back the house and senate, investigations are going to start about the whole of the criminality that is displayed in plain sight…geez…
August 21st
Well…up and out of bed before 6 again today and it’s down to 61 degrees and I wonder if I’ll have to wear a light fleece for the first ride this morning…have 45 minutes before I need to get on the bike and I need to toast a bagel and have that, too….running out of days to go to the beach so I may go out there this morning to see if I can get a swim in…hasn’t been too bad of a year for the beach but time is changing and I have to get used to that…it seems that the seasons are more defined out here and change more quickly…one day it’s 90 degrees and a few days later it’s only in the 70’s…oh, well…I’ve been emptying the freezer the past couple of weeks and I’m all the way down to soup and I may have to use the ham bones to make more to keep getting the freezer organized…I did get a little cleaning done yesterday and I’m going to try to keep that up today…the bathroom needs a once over and I do need to get rid of the amazon boxes that have piled up in here….but a bagel and the bike rides first….more later…
Jury summons…
Well…in all of my long years, I have never been summoned to be on a jury until I got one today…and while I was filling out the questionaire I see that by being 70 years old or older you have a get out of jail free card to be permanently taken off the jury rolls…so I filled out the questionaire online and checked the exemption box so I guess I’ll go through my entire life without having to serve on a jury…I guess getting old is good for something….

Well…the dems really are growing spines across this country and are pushing back against the idiot trump’s illegality…the latest is in response to a letter the corrupt AG sent to 32 cities (all dem run of course) threatening to arrest city officials if they didn’t spend their own money to help with the mass deportation scheme which, according to the 10th amendment, is illegal…and I loved the comment from Boston’s mayor when she said “stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures…a theme echoed by the governor of Oregon who basically said go to hell to trump and his thugs…this is what needs to happen everywhere a dem is in charge…every state and city needs to push back like Newsom is doing in California and make resistance the order of the day and make this illegal crap painful for the loser trump and his corrupt cronies…geez…
